to be fair in the first 2 months party finder was better that some static, its now that its kinda late into the tier that the new raiders then to disrespect the fight and dont take it seriously. i only use PF throughout this tier and i remeber clearing P10S in a day and 11 in about 2 days...so i feel its more about the time you use the pf
Ah yes, my FAVORITE type of self inflicted mental trauma, party finder. As my old static leader use to say, "the beatings will continue until mechanics improve"
I raid in pf for the same reason I play hard games. It might cause my blood to boil and neurons to fry for most of the duration, but that one moment of bliss after a clear makes it all worthwhile. God bless my fellow troglodytes on Light pf.
i genuinely enjoy party finder tbh. i'm just a sprout but sometimes it makes me remember that hey maybe i'm not a lost cause after all ahaha. though this is the type of stuff i take with a grain of salt anyways cuz i honestly just want to have fun. no need getting worked up over a wipe when the only person i'll work against is myself
The best mindset you can have when getting into content in this game is "How can I be better" since you just have to trust the fools that are with you to their end of the job
@@SamTheLemonBoy fact. i play all my games with that mindset, you win some you lose some the only thing you can do is analyze your mistakes and work on them
Im gonna say what i say in every Lemon twitch chat "For the love of god, someone please buy this man BG3." You guys he is torturing himself. Lemon please for my secondhand sanity put up a steam wishlist 😂
Once you clear an ultimate you realize unless you're one of the super sweatlords wfr or trying to clear on patch, it's the same clown circus as savage pf. If savage PF requires A rank mental fortitude, ultimate pf requires s to s+ level of mental fortitude. So yes. Even clowns can clear ultimates. It's just a matter of how many pulls you're willing to suffer through and you too can be a "legend btw" that's dead on the floor in alliance raid.
I have literally never used party finder, and a big part of that is I always suspected it would be an absolute nightmare. But I also wanna say that it can’t possibly be as bad as everyone always rants about…
PF is not a test of skill. It's a test of mental fortitude. That being said is it does have it's upsides. You're not tied to a scheduled time. You can go your own pace. But generally the earlier you get in the easier it is and the longer you wait the more of a clown fiesta it becomes. If you're in a trap party you can just set a limit on how many pulls you can stomach before saying you need to walk your grandma and leave. In a static if your static is a trap party you're just stuck there forever. But in pf once every blue moon you get the 7 warriors of light that will 1 pull.
My friends and I have arrived at the conclusion that outside of hardcore statics, pf is the fastest way to prog and clear fights, buit it comes at the cost of you sanity
That just completely resonated, I've gone through the waves of "It's so over" to "We are so back" only to land back in "It's so over" so often with PF. Even my friends who raid casually go through it, it's just inevitable lmao
I’ve been so frustrated progging P12S in party finder. Getting to the point of desperation. The biggest problem is that people wither LIES about their prog point or they’re obsessed with parsing and so they’re not paying attention to mechanics.
PF burned me the hell out of raiding, it astounded me how many “reclear” parties would wipe constantly…week after week. I had to suffer through Light Rampant prog in PF. *Cries*
I dont have a static and its my first savages tier so im doing everything in PF :) I agree that stuff is hit or miss and im stuck in endless p12 prog but it has its fun moments. Also based for using Nichijou ost
If you say something in chat about their play style, they insult you, report, and send you to play WoW. The FF14 community is the worst/toxic from every big MMORPG.
honestly depends on the way you do it i had someone yesterday who was like so um you do know that Holy is an AOE skill. and i was like uh yeah... and she was like it's better to use Aero and Stone.. and while i kinda knew that.. (despite being a sprout) i was too embarrased to say that the real reason i used Holy was because i'm a lazy bitch ahahah
"You should use food while progging Savage. It's good manners and only 6k for one lock out." - last words said before FFXIV twitter goes in a full "You don't pay my sub" Karen meltdown. Other games people just tell you to gfto and boot people who are wasting other's time. I think the latter method is way more peaceful.
I used to love this game now I can't really play it anymore, been playing the og ff mmo and although it has its issues, it's just so damn good in so many other ways, if ffxiv was more mmo than narrative I think it could be amazing, but I hope we get a new mmo that experiments with combat, having rotations is kinda boring now I think, it should be more fun cause you have more going on, but spamming the same one or two moves in coordination with other players to create a skillchain in ffxi just feels more fun to me, but I think it's also due to the chit chat you can have when partying as well and the sense of adventure in the sandbox. I'm gonna probably get dawntrail, but I really hope SE does more than just play it safe, they're obviously traumatised from 1.0, but they gotta remember who they are, they're fucking SE, they made the last best old-school mmo and took a dead ffxiv and turned it in to a huge success, but that's running out now. They need to go SE on ffxiv and add some of that ff flavour that makes their mmos stand out
I have always told myself and kinda spoke about it briefly that SE usually plays it safe to avoid making people upset, but you cannot please everyone, unfortunately
I feel this, been doing EW EX trials on PF for learning/mount farms. I get so annoyed if someone leaves, because i know the rest will follow ESPECIALLY if we are progging or so close to clearing it. Or like one wipe on a mount farm, LIGHT PARTY. I get they want to be fast but for the love of god, just stay, wipes happen and mistakes do. We're all human. I dont know if there are statics out there that just do extreme trials for mounts, but im getting to that point. lol Im on EU too.
PF is not for your "progs" or "clears" or whatever elitist-bros call it. PF is for "mechanics are for engineers, strats are for generals, we are here just to experience PAIN AND ENJOY EVERY SECOND OF IT" mentality
i'm way past the acceptance part, i do enjoy learning new "fun" fights but when there are so many opportunities for one silly person to wipe us all, "gearing up early" is just not worth it so i'll stick with my mild pain in unreal and extreme farms, that's enough. Now back to suffering along in Deep Dungeon!
This remind me the day of P10S. It took me 217 pulls to clear, not counting the prog pulls, solely on clear parties alone. After that, I joined a static. HAPPY END 🤣🤣🤣
If I'm playing during day time I stick to duty finder for leveling dungeons as that doesn't take long to sync.for raids and trials I want til late afternoon evening as more people are on and usually 10 to 15 min wait time tops
I would consider myself a very patient person. I've spent hours upon hours struggling in games for no reward other than beating a fight. Nothing has tested the limits of my sanity and patience more than progging savage in PF. But I still come back every week. Bashing my head against a wall since this clear party is stuck on bonds 3. This game is amazing Just waiting and hoping that eventually my friends will get caught up and geared so I at least have someone to yell at for fucking up a simple mechanic.
Another great video! I've been playing 14 for about 2 years and have been too intimidated to play any of the savage/extreme fights. I've finally gotten to the point where I'm considering trying, and building up the nerve to try PF is really the last big hurdle. Guess this is a sign to bite the bullet and give it a shot! ...and I see you with your 'yet another' outfits, you lemon of culture.
I felt the same, i recommend getting a friend with experience or static to dip your toes in hard content first I thought id never try pf but after trying it with someone, it's like having a static but without vc lol You will cause wipes... And that's okay, because everyone has at some point
Look, if they would let me use NPCs on story trials I would never bother you. I ran up against he trail to kill Nidhogg last night, went in hoping I could handle it and died twice. For fucks sake, why can 't I just suffer alone, not bothering anyone. Sorry.
I been through this doing Crystal Tower (yes, I'm a sprout and slowly getting through the story, currently at Heavensward) and I had a friend guide me through it since I had no idea wtf i was doing, thinking it wasn't all bad before he said and I quote “This is easy mode so far... Endgame raid are more fun.”
@@SamTheLemonBoy the two type of people I predominantly meet are the friendly people who are willing to help each other out and try to make some friends along the way, and then there is the arrogant people who think they are too good for everyone else and are spiteful and mocking towards others trying to learn. You seem to fit into the 2nd category.
