I wasn't exchange student but I went there and lived with my parents there for like 3 years but middle school was Rough cuz I didn't know how to speak to others and communication was a struggle plus I got bullied so I don't wanna go back staying in the UK is probably tell best for me

Im also an exchange student in japan, there's lots of hard times here, but u try to keep going, especially since im still learning the language it self, i have catch up with the subjects while catching up with the language

Are you really half-Japanese? We have international students from Russia who graduate Japanese universities and work in Japan. They have a much easier time adjusting to Japan. I wonder why.
Hello! Did you start school with no prior knowledge of Japanese? How did they teach you the curriculum you needed to learn? Was there sort of a time that you were pulled aside to study Japanese or stayed after school to learn? Hi gotta break something to you, Japan is very strict with its learning in high school, even though I came here in middle school the fact that I couldn’t get good grades cuz of my Japanese really effected my emotional state and obviously grades. If you are planning to drop your kids in elementary school then great they still got time and with some more help it will be fine cuz grades in elementary school don’t at all play a big part in their future unless they want to get into a prestigious middle school and high school. So it won’t stop them getting into good high school if they study in middle school. When I came here my language level was trash I could only speak a bit here and there and not being able to make friends rly kinda effected me but it really helped make my psyche stronger in a way. They did make separate classes 1-2 a week for 2 hours and it didn’t really help me since I didn’t try at all in those classes but still those exist pretty much everywhere I think I made a vid about japan so I think u might find that interesting and I’m also working on going a bit more in depth on this topic If u got any more questions I’m glad to help :D

I know you are talking about the disadvantages of being a exchange student, but is there good too? Are you still able to make friends and be well enough respected where you arent always having to deal with racist comments?
Well ok technically yes it is ideal but when they disagree with you that goes out the window and they are straight up racist so not cool, but yes when they are chilling they often say holy shit how are you so white 🤣🤣
Love the cuts bro! Anyways, went on a two week trip to Japan. Travelled all over. Even got some fun hiking in Osaka. On my way back to the hotel, came across a whole bunch of kids on a field trip. Must have been an international school, because looking at the teachers and the students I thought it was back in California. But there's a healthy amount of Asian kids in the group. I don't mean like Malaysian or Indian. They looked ethnically Japanese. I think some of the locals are trying to get around all the problems you mentioned? For sure, want their kids to learn English but that can't be all of it.
yeh i mean there are a lot of different international school here, i originally wanted to go one cuz i know english but my parents just kinda dropped me into a japanese school for whatever reason :( also i hope u had fun here theres a shit ton of thing to do so hope u had a good plan. also big G what would you want to know before you came here like a topic or a thing that u didnt know (videos ideas for me XD, might make it into a video)
@@megaG_1 there's a ton of content about Tokyo. And the other major tourist traps in different cities. Not much for random outings. Like I just took a chance and found a trail that was an abandoned train track. Walking in tunnels in the dark for a while. Or random bike ride between islands, crossing bridges and using fairies. I didn't do any research and just took a chance and they all turned out to be fun. I have no doubt that Japan is littered with stuff like that all over the place.
I wonder what they will think of me. But you say they are boring well in my classroom they are very boring as well. I want to be around people who are smarter it would make me feel happier.

hold up you get 3 weeks off of school breaks? when i was little here in the US it was just 2 weeks then when i was in high school. they changed it to 1 week. you should be thankful for them days off. also cleaning up the place is not that bad. no talking is understandable. they want things done and dont want you distracted. people are probably thinking im a weeb and i dont know things. well. i been in a military program and sounds like japan is treating you guys a little like that. nothing wrong with that. its to show you more about life and how to be more responsible. learn how to keep clean. well here in the U.S rarely anyone is clean there fat lazy people that bitch all the time and love drama. teachers will even bully there classes now. if there is a kid they dont like. now my husband is Japanese and he told me that his school would shave off the kids heads if they did something wrong. then boy or a girl. it dont matter. now to me. i think that way to far. but he said its for the kid to know and remember not to do it again. the trauma makes you stop.

haha nah man its just for humorous intent lol i wa just making jokes. k pop is ok i dont pursonally listen to it but i got nothing against ppl who do haha. transfering to japan wise: ppl are not like in anime, ur gonna have a hard time making firends cuz most ppl are introverted, if u have a sense of humous good luck with that cuz ppl wont understand u. and japanese is hard but other then that japan is a great very safe country u should deffenetly visit it

Hi! I’m from Ukraine but I live in the Uk and I would like to go to Japanese school as an exchange student for semester. Maybe it sounds really stupid but I don’t know Japanese ( I’m actually learning it right now), so I’m not sure I will be able to go to school even though I really want to, also I was trying to find a program to exchange but I still can’t find it, so is it worth to go to Japan in my situation or is it just a rubbish idea? 🥸
It’s good to go to other countries for the culture even if ur not super good at that language it’s still a good idea I personally wouldn’t go with out the basic knowledge but that’s not too hard to learn. I’m actually making a video like literally right now on how to exchange with different programs and stuff so u might like that
