Me too. I had never run a lathe before this project. I've learned a lot from the comments regarding safety though!

its my Job so all i can say is always safety first but if youre still interested in learning about it then you really need to watch Adam ( ru-vid.com ) hes just awesome and explaining alot! Besides this just keep up your great work, too bad i live in germany otherwise i would order a nice 510 drip tip for myself xD

If you wick it properly, it won't spit at you. Personally, i cut the wick diagonally and shove the longest point to the bottom of the wicking channel, the shortest of the diagonal cut sits just 1mm into the wicking channel. Never spits back.

+Sean Hanson (Lightning Vapes) Yep... not to mention breaking in the coil to get it glowing evenly. Pulsing while slowly going up in steps w/ that wattage, in like 10w increments... gets it wicking/feeding properly too. AKA no pools of liquid sitting on the wick where, perhaps, that coil isn't glowing too hot... no really hot coil, glowing brightly right next to it, when wicking/feeding poorly too.. Is absolutely gonna send the liquid from that little pool, a-popping.. sputtering & spitting... right up the chimney & like hot lava into ones mouth. Just as with those who seem to always have OR wonder about gurgling, flooding & esp leaking. If setup & used.... If refilled properly, esp if/when "top fill", by always being sure to close off AFC &/or juice control completely, first.. before ever touching any top or opening, to refill... & never overfilling, either... By design, anyway... none of 'em should ever be leaking! If it does, just a sure sign something is wrong. A coil head isn't threaded snugly enough OR came loose... was overfilled... an o-ring is out of place or no longer in tact... AFC was left open & that internal vacuum pressure needed to hold liquid IN & keep it feeding properly.. has been broken. If that happens liquid WILL take the path of least resistance OUT..... until empty. Seems a waste to give it all to the device or table.. when it's just an easy half a second of added effort to avoid. :) ENJOY... Live long(ER) & vape on! #ABillionLives

+ratindahat The only reason I keep it, is because with the 3 jaw tends to center round objects MUCH better than the 4 jaw. Believe me, I've thought about it, haha.

It's been a while, but I believe it was acrylic acetate.

If the acrylic heats up too much, it will stink. That's why it was lubricated with soapy water, and shallow, quick, frequent passes were taken with the drill bit.

N3SS Roasty Toasty ask any veteran about machinery and the first thing they tell you is never get too comfortable with a machine its always the so called experienced person that lose an arm or get their head crushed in one of these
