The El Dorado is one of our top hats (pun intended) that has been with us for almost half a century. It's also a customer favorite for the same duration it's been around. My vote would be for an unbanded El Dorado, this way you can dress it up and switch out your hat bands if you'd like or keep it unbanded for a simple yet sophisticated look. americanhatmakers.com/products/el-dorado-mens-leather-top-hat-unbanded

After seeing your cyclones crown curves a few sew ,cut repeat i got its template The cyclone and most hats get to use the crown hole as a top ; while the top hats is bigger lol , makes sense why theyre higher priced and wonder if thats why its a "top" hat ... might be my next project Hope ya stays on top of it lol 🇮🇪

Our Marlow (4" crown) is smaller than the El Dorado (4.5" crown) - there is the Hampton, the top is different (3.75" crown) americanhatmakers.com/products/marlow-mens-leather-top-hat-unbanded
