Alot of people have been asking for a list of mods in the modpack. I’ve got this in my pipeline for new YT videos. Until then, the modpack should be available through discord, an we’ve uploaded it to modrinth (curseforge modpack is WIP) Link to the modrinth modpack is here: modrinth.com/modpack/the-pond-modpack/version/1.3.1
These mods add such a vibe to minecraft, with the feel of ancient artifacts and purely natural materials. Vanilla plus is my favorite kind of minecraft
I'm so glad the algorithm decided to push this my way. This is exactly the sort of minecraft experience I've been wishing for in these past several years. And your video style is so captivating. Keep doing what you're doing, please!
When I saw this video, I thought it was just going to be some person ranting about how minecraft has changed and not the same anymore. But this, this reminded me of my first time playing, I was clueless and was finding new thing all the time. It reminded me that minecraft is a sandbox with infinite possibilities, now it's all about what you can achieve or what you have but this video reminded me of the times when it did not matter what you had, what mattered was how much fun you had. Thank you sir, for your efforts.
For real, man. Even now, I'm still discovering things about the base game that've apparently been around for years... For example, just the other day I learned that, if you have a lantern hanging from a chain, and then break that chain, the lantern turns into a falling entity and smashes on the floor below, starting a fire. Weird, but possibly useful in certain circumstances.
@@hoomanbing _Apparently!_ I thought it was a mod thing when I found it because I was playing in a modpack at the time, but apparently no, it's a vanilla thing.
For real. This is how I play on my realm. It's like the perfect mix between Xbox multi-player and old-school survival servers with a huge player base. We just kinda vibe and connect civilizations with roads and boats.
I've been spending the past couple of months creating my own survival+ mod pack, creating multiple test servers that my friends would play on and I'd see how long it'd be before complaints started rolling in. I'm coming so close to completing my goal of making the perfect mod pack that offers so much with so few mods, just so i can feel everything your server/smp has to offer while taking a step beyond just vanilla minecraft. I began straying away from this goal, getting lost within the millions of mods the community has created. I want to thank you for reminding me of my initial goal, a world that's worth exploring, without the need for crazy additions, insanely powerful mobs and mechanics that just dont belong in minecraft.
@@modern-synthesis Everyone will be welcome to have it once im done! It isn't much, but it'll definitely be an enlightening experience! I'll have a google drive link or something posted once im done.
@@dsp2313 you won't be able to do it here, RU-vid will delete your comment silently. But you can post this link in your channel bio, and tell about it here
Love that I landed here. I was thinking about finding something like this yesterday, and this appears now! I just wish you had space to actually let me join
this is the most peaceful ive ever felt with minecraft in a very long time. nowadays whenever i want to start a new world i feel immediately overwhelmed by the things i "should" be doing, mining, fighting, recourses, farming materials and xp, so on. thank you for reminding me that peace is an option
My most vivid memory was when Minecraft was starting out at the base of a massive cliff. I scaled the mountain as night fell, and created a furnace by complete accident. I lived in a tiny hole in the ground with the furnace and my table, surrounded by the monsters of the night. This video brought up my memories of playing this game for the first time.
The ending of the video really sounded like that first Minecraft trailer. It really fills me with nostalgia. I've always wanted a community server like that, but it's so hard to find or build the exact kind that I'd be interested in. It has made me wish there were an AI mod intelligent enough to act like a player in a server, but we're not quite near that level yet.
honestly its amazing, the exact type of minecraft server i have wanted to be on for so so long but never been able to be on, unfortunately my GPU at the moment isnt working but when its fixed, ill be joining
dude the production quality on this video is immaculate. The amount of work you must have put into this video is extraordinary, big props to you and I hope to see more awesome content from you in the future!
Something about the footage for this video really felt like B-Roll in a real life documentary in a way that no other Minecraft video I’ve seen before really hit. Very impressed. Such a great little video.
Wow, Koi. The video quality is incredible, and the server + modpack look fantastic to boot. Thanks for making me feel that sense of wonder I once felt with this game again.
Yep this was the perfect video I needed to find. I love this, you perfectly captured the feeling of nostalgia I remember this game best, amazing work friend.
@@inherentnerd1 I don't see your name but ok. I can 🤩🥳... Java or Bedrock edition? Realms or server? My only condition is that in Both Java & Bedrock... I have a Scuba Diver costume 😁 In Java, I have a diving helmet. And on Bedrock, My character has a diving mask!
@@inherentnerd1 Hello, if you are trying to contact mee, be aware that links and e-nail adresses aren't seen in comments. If you wrote something already,, in tbe past hour or so 😁😣....... .... I don't see it
That was actually the best server ad that I've seen. I remember there was a server I used to frequent called Green Gem, and it had this feel to it (Green Gem, the old Green Gem at least, doesn't exist anymore) and man, you're right, that is the peak Minecraft experience.
I also had a server like that. It was called Minecraft Junkie. That server had been open for 12(!) years before it closed down recently. Me and my brother found our old house that we built together 11-12 years ago.
I feel like this reminded me of what i loved about minecraft and something ive been missing for a long time. i think ill solo this and see where it takes me. thank you for the modpack and happy travels
This. This is exactly the type of multiplayer experience I wish I had the chance of experiencing way back then. Though it seems I’ve arrived a bit late to the party, unfortunately and will have to wait. I’m sure it will be worth it though. Thank you for providing this. And your cinematic is amazing! It almost made me cry! I’ll stick around your channel for a while. Seems comforting, just like the good old days of Minecraft.
I forgot I saved this video in my memories playlist. I'm glad I did, because now I get to see this and feel insanely happy and nostalgic over the community you've created. I hope the server opens up again soon, I really want to join and play with someone again.
Love to see it! I've learned over time that honestly I'm a singleplayer kinda guy, but servers like this awesome when they happen, hope this project lives long!
I have a little server with my friends like this that i started about a month ago. Playing with a similar Vanilla+ visual/audio experience as you showed with Distant Horizons has completely changed how I see and feel about the game. It's not just a little sandbox. It's a massive, infinite gorgeous world and we are making our own little life in it. I love every second of it ♥️
This video allowed me to have the same feeling I had when I first played. It also reminds me of the servers that I used to play on with friends. Although watching the servers eventually die out after a few months was sad, it was always worth the fun that I had while it was alive.
Made me think of some of my own first times in minecraft, I remember playing when I was young and screaming when I heard zombies and spiders and getting freaked out. Thanks for the lovely video!!
This style of commentary and video editing is sooo nice. Its far better than any Minecraft video ive seen in recent years, being so simplistic, yet captivating. I'd honestly LOVE to join a server like this to make content on👌👌
This is exactly what I've been looking for for the past month or so, I'll absolutely be tryin to join! Even if I don't get in though I hope you make videos on this server, it already looks so peaceful
This reminds me of 2b2t in its golden age without all the griefers and wars. Some old videos of it still linger on the Internet. The Old Spawn Road and Castle Hateheart...
I used to scour technic for modpacks that had servers attached, and the experiences I had on those middling quality servers are some of my favorite. Its hard to find stuff thats similar nowadays, but now I have a good group of friends with enough collective knowledge and resources to make and play our own packs. I miss those old days, but I like new ones just as much.
This is the exact thing I have been working on recently for after my exams, but holy i didnt expect to see the exact identical mindset on the platform and to see it be such a connected one too
I've always looked for an experience like this, my friends and I have a "minecraft faze" and at the end I'm always the last one. Hope to join and be part of this amazing community.
I remmember playing in a multiplayer server too about 3-4 years ago and i was beautiful logging in and see people building things exchanging blocks/material by bartering like in Hermitcraft, it was perfect and peaceful life
This is exactly what I'm trying to build with my own server. An expanded and improved vanilla experience. I'm gonna look at your modpack and see if I can take some inspiration. BTW, AMAZING WORK MAN
This sounds so lovely. My friend group attempted this several times and found toxic servers, or players were rushing through everything. There wasn’t “shared” experience, lot of play-alone on a server. It sounds like you r figured it out
Man i used to play minecraft alot and i honestly think this is exactly what everyone was looking for, ur very underrated and ur videos are amazing. i can tell u take a lot of time to edit ur videos, im sure u will get more popular soon! good luck :D
I used to play on so many random survival survers. Some where griefing was encouraged and the fun was to hide your base, and others where everybody wanted to be close. This brought such nostalgia back and i honestly havr always craved coming back to my minceraft roots like you have done. Incredible video and it sounds like those of you who made it in are gunna have such a great time :)
Love this idea! I’m doing a playthrough right now with a similar idea. A big focus has been on connecting different builds with realistic roads and pathways. Adds so much “lore” to the world that keeps me interested. Love the video!
Ooh! I'm curious about the modpack you're using. I've spent several months recently researching and building a Vanilla+ pack of my own. It's always cool to find new RU-vidrs who have that same passion, and a great way to find more mods I might like to use. Who knows, perhaps someday I'll join or even host a server like this! :D
Now this made me feel all the nostalgia T^T MineCraft has given me so many amazing memories and friends :) Glad to see people still want to seek for the core of MineCraft, having fun with friends.
I came here by accident. Brought back the nostalgia in me. It has been a 11 years since I purchased Minecraft. The account is still there, I still occasionally hop on but soon get bored because I was all alone. I hope to find the joy I had back then once again.
This is what minecraft felt like when I was 7 years old playing for the first time. Wish I could recreate that and this seems like the perfect place for it!
