I love this how it's made series playlist. This is my new favorite channel. I have been binge watching this playlist for 3 hours and can't end it. I'm addicted
I know this is 8 months ago, but freezing them keeps them lasting longer, and also the freezing of raw fish kills alot of bad bacteria. The only other method is cooking them which is not what this kind of sushi wants.
While many people assume that sushi is also raw fish, it is actually vinegar rice that is mixed with a number of other ingredients, which can include either cooked or raw fish. Wile raw fish may be a traditional staple in most types of sushi, it is not a prerequisite for this dish. Translated, sushi means “it is sour” which typically has to do with the vinegar rice.
Are you really asking this question.... Or are you trying to be funny lol 🤷🏼♂️ If you just watched how gloves were made..... Then... This is common sense.... Whats a nickname for a condom?.... Hopefully you got it! Yes! A glove... I bet you didn't get it... Lol they obviously don't dip penises into their ingredient to make a condom. But more of a multi sized heat resistant cucumber shaped glass mold to dip in their recipe to help shape a "one shape fits all" type of process. You hopefully have worn a condom before, you can probably figure out the rest 👌🏼 An that was "Getting 1 Brain Cell With Shelly Darling!" Now u just lost it 😂 👋🏼
correct, liquid smoke also never expires since its literally just smoke impregnated into water, i use it all the time in my beef jerky, it doesn't taste the exact same as actual smoke dried jerky but it does add that nice smokey flavour
The evidence is inconclusive. There is evidence that chemicals in it can damage DNA, but it's not known what effect that has. Lots of chemicals that are safe change when they are heated too hot. Look at olive or canola oil- they are perfectly safe when moderately heated, but when heated to the point they smoke, they break down and form some fairly toxic chemicals.
@@ramrod132 that's a good point, and untill we do more studies, I'm gonna stay away from a lot of flavorings and additives, especially sodium benzoate, I don't like the idea of ingesting benzene in any form.
@@rickytorres9089 currently I'm trying to grow a real wasabi plant and it's a pain. But I've tried it and it tastes better than the fake one. It's sweeter and milder in heat aswell as being alot smoother.
@@Felipera_ Their sushi seems to be quite good quality for a frozen product. They used proper rice and fresh ingredients also their equipment had Japanese labels so it's not like they invented the whole thing. Japan is a country full of convenient food. Nobody goes to 7-Eleven there end expect the frozen sushi to be of gourmet quality.
what exactly did you have trouble with? For me it was the realisation that they keep the line in the water for 24h and the fish suffer for soo long on the hook
can you imagine all the sushi chefs in the world watching this and cringing in their chairs? lol It's a proud asian art form and now taken into industrial machines
This is how the majority of "mainstream" sushi is made today, even in Japan. If you went to an average sushi-go-round, they use the same machines to form the rice, slice rolls, etc. etc. If you notice the machines used in this vid, they're all Japanese made.
@@scrambledegg81 That may be true but it's still not real sushi, even here in america the only sushi places i go to i know the people who prepare them by hand.
@@@liamhector5009 Actually, in America, any fish used raw in sushi is frozen. They flash-freeze it, so that it's still classed as "fresh," but potential parasites are killed.
11:22 Man I am so happy that they included that the sell that liquid too. Doesn't look too nice and I can't imagine it being healthy (though it might not be that bad at the levels required for taste, no idea though) but hella interesting.
When you smoke meat you use the, guess what, smoke. The smoke is usually generated my a oxygen starved woodfire. That liquid is litterarly just liquidized smoke. The smoke flavor is mostly a tar like substance. Might not be supoer duper healty, but it isn't atrocious
No, there are plenty of underwater factories with scuba divers slicing, peeling and cooking. Of course, things get a bit uncomfortable when they start boiling the rice! 😁
The way you put it is rather dumb and easily answered, but there is a painful underlying question here: if civilisations ends, could we ever start it up again?
Ok I know I dont like seafood but how can people eat that pink purée of raw shrimps... I mean at what point do people realize they are eating something absolutely gross... It's worst than French people eating snails...
xD 6:56 - egg strips of some sort of sweet omelet called "tamaaago". Tamago IS egg in japanese. If you need to specify for sweet omelet you should use tamagoyaki. The yaki part signifies "fried".
Pair the electric toothbrush with activated charcoal toothpaste, and you've got a very clean mouth!! I love activated charcoal toothpaste, because it draws out infections in the gums.
No... no it doesn't. Been in the dental field for 10 years.. charcoal tooth paste is very abrasive and can polish off enamel. And infections are in the bone not the actual tissue if your referring to Root canal treatments, if your referring to periodontist an infection/ inflammation of the gums the answer is still no. You need to have professional cleanings to get below the gum line and if its bad enough you need to see a specialist. Don't fall for quick media fads
So all the warning labels on the machinery in the Icelandic sushi factory are written in Japanese? I don't see how any accidents could happen at all, this is perfectly safe.
or you could stop seeing women as some monolith with universally shared desires and feelings, and actually acknowledge us as human beings with a full range of experiences and emotions.
@@user-lj2zm2uo2v fish used in sushi NEEDS to be frozen beforehand to kill potentially dangerous parasites. Even fresh sushi, made from fish freshly caught, has to (or absolutely should) freeze the fish for a little while. You're thinking of processed food when talking about nutrients. That being said, this isn't fresh sushi ofc, fresh is made in house.
I'll defend my comments that: REPEATEDLY FROZEN is NOT fresh. There is a disclosure regulation in the US that REQUIRES items in a fish case for markets to disclose if the product has been, "PREVIOUSLY FROZEN". Any Questions?
I would hate to have one of these factory jobs, inside all day, standing in one spot, same movements over and over, day after day after day... hope the pay is worth it for the ones who do this type of work.
I love making and eating sushi. If anyone wants to make sushi well and very easily, search "sushezi" on RU-vid and see how easy it can be. Yeah, yeah, I know the traditional way is on a bamboo mat, but hey, this is so much easier and better results.
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view!" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment?
Please tell me they capture or somehow use the wood gas being released by the wood as it carbonizes inside that retort instead of just releasing it into the environment.... 🤔🤬😞
The sushi made here in the eps MUST be based in the Europe or else where Other then the USA. Only cause in the USA Under the FDA Health Code if you get sushi in USA the Fish needs to be dipped in Boiling or very Hot Water or Rice Vinegar as a way to cook it to kill the bacteria. Reason i try to make Mine at Home even if i do poor job. At least I get to eat it like Japanese do and Not cooked
Part me marvels at the engineering of the sushi* line, part of me mourns for the artists of true sushi, but ALL of me is on the verge of retching at the thought of what this abomination must taste like. * fishsticks with rice batter
Correct, but UV light would probably be used in the cleaning. As UV is regularly used to kill bacterias. Maybe there was a camera limitations since regular camera's should filter IR and UV light and the red color could have been added afterwards by the editors of the episode.
My grandfather invented the first mechanical toothbrush. Back before micro motors and micro batteries existed. Instead, they were...are you ready? They were hand cranked
I could NOT work there cuz I would be eating all the shrimp lmao. I love shell fish. But if it was crab then I would be the only worker there cuz I wouldnt let no one close enough cuz I would want all of it for myself lmao. Anyone else love eating shellfish as much as me???
