After launching his first-born to basketball stardom, Tee Morant is working on his next project, Ja Morant's sister Teniya.
Teniya said she doesn't want to follow in the footsteps of her superstar brother, an all-star starter for the Memphis Grizzlies; instead she wants to shine in her own light.

that's real right there.. then on the other hand, coaches be having like 15 kids so it aint easy to spread out the love like that even if you have that 1 talent cuz politics/favoritism is just a natural thang since it's a relationship you gotta development. With the dad doe, I mean, you can't get a 1on1 focus anywhere so bad or good coach, a 1on1 coach is always better especially if they got the patience of a father that has a lot of stake in your success too.

Shit you telling me. My basketball career was ruined cause coaches played favorites. I was talented and everybody knew it. But got shafted by my coach my freshman year and often flat out disrespected. Then I worked on my game, and got better every year. But the teams were set in stone.. plus I played two other sports. Never got another chance after my freshman year of high school , no matter how good everyone knew I was, how much better I got. The coaches knew who they wanted before the tryouts even started, so I never even got a real shot. I got to the point where I had to say a painful goodbye to my hopes of playing bball and put my effort full time into football and track as a senior and going into college.

Damn.. I felt that “messing with confidence” message all too well.. so many people think it’s “oh you never really had confidence in the first place” and that’s not the case. I remember going to my sister hs games and the varsity coach saw my potential/game and made so many plays and orchestrated a system that helped me thrive.. I transferred to a new school and it was the first time I had a coach tell me “I don’t really want you shooting threes, you’re not a shooter like that” tbh I haven’t been the same since.. I still play hard, and strive to be one of the hardest workers on the floor but I’ve turned into a more one dimensional player, focusing more on mid range and attacking and kicking to my teammates.. I only take threes after the ball has been moved from my side and back.. 😩😩💯💯 Wish my pops had more of a basketball background instead of just football/athletics and did this with me

Think about how many mother you know that have custody of the child but ain’t shit. They cool with living in the projects or section 8, collecting food stamps, etc. that’s not to say nothing bad of moms who go through at get through that. But it’s ALOT WHO HAVE KIDS SOLELY FOR THOSE REASONS! It’s not even about the kid. It’s about that lifetime connection to the father, child support, housing assistance, claiming a kid on income taxes, all the thousands of welfare programs and assistance available to single mothers. I use to live in the pjs, I knew this lady with 6 kids, all different dads. She said “ I won’t stop having kids until the government stop paying me for it “. She said it as a joke but it confirmed what I was already seeing. Just as many great mothers there’s great fathers and vice versa. Much respect to this guy, gave up chasing his own career to stay home and be a father to his kids. I bet he doesn't have a single regret from it.
