Eyebags are beauty trend in Korea. Many actress actually do plastic surgery to get one, meanwhile people in my country following westard trying to erase theirs 😂 In other hand "bunny teeth" is also popular here. I don't know where it came from, but people in my country going rampage to get something that 10 years ago label as "butchered teeth" or bad teeth, just because some foreigner actresses have it. I don't know what beauty standard we will have next.
I would argue this isn't really a trend though considering it's how Japanese make up has been done for years and years. Trend makes it sound like it's new and temporary.
At my grandparent’s house in Japan currently, and I absolutely love how every dinner we have a bunch of dishes laid out. It’s so delicious and I find it amazing the amount of effort put into each meal.
I literally did the same thing when my parents and I visited a few weeks ago lol. It’s nice to have so much variety at mealtime but the amount of dishes you have to do sucks 😅

Have you ever lied? stolen? hated? been prideful? gossiped? swore? Or other bad things? I Can say without a doubt we’ve at least done something that was considered bad, consciously that we shouldn’t have done. this is called sin. It’s the act of doing something against what God wants in our lives. Think about this. You have just invited someone over to your house, and that means you can place rules on what they do - because it’s your home! Now lets say this said person directly disobeyed the rules you’ve placed while they were there. you would be offended right? This is exactly the situation with us and God. We are the person staying over in His creation, yet we consciously disobey- which is called Sin. We all have this problem and because of this God has to send us to hell because He is so just can’t just let these wrong doings pass. Think of it as a guilty criminal having to be sentenced to jail because the Judge knows it’s right. We are the guilty criminal. Hell is our punishment. And God is that Judge. Well, this would mean that everyone would go to hell because we’ve all committed sin-disobedience from God, consciously. But here’s the good news. Jesus came to die on the cross, taking our punishment upon Himself, for our sins so we don’t need to go to hell. Think of that same analogy with the criminal. Now there is a person that’s willing to bail that criminal out and if that criminal accept that gift of bail, then they will be able to legally be free. If we accept that, Jesus died on the cross for our sins and repent- turn away from sin-then we will be saved because we take His bail that He offers for free so we can go to heaven. Maybe they're prize wife? The "friend" doesn't seem to live with her family instead a "one bedroom apartment"? Hey, im not judging. Girl empowerment is a thing i support
@@dimasprajoko or the family home that they took a train to is outside of Tokyo, where friend works and lives, on her friends day off from work they hungout and then she tagged along to the visit home, probably weekly. Another average day of a Japanese girl: wake up at 5am, do makeup, get ready 7am go to work 5pm supposed time to go home but ot exists 8pm go home and eat and sleep 😃
When a Japanese mom laid out a set of meal for you it's not just a meal, but it's also love, effort, respect and responsibility. Loving my grandma so very much ❤
Although it is said to be "a typical Japanese girl's day," it has been heavily influenced by the Korean girls' culture as a whole. In Korea, taking pictures at a photo booth called "InSangNaeCut(Life Four Cut)" is one of the daily routines.
Eyebags are NOT the same as the little fatty part under the eyes that Asian’s like to accentuate. They are two different things. In English, aegyosal, (or whatever it’s called in other Asian languages) are ‘eye love bands’. It specifically refers to a fatty part under the eye. In case you were wondering, it’s common to see in children. Most western adults don’t have them so it’s not accentuated in western makeup. Asian adults tend to have them though, so that’s why they accentuate it in their makeup.

As an Asian living in the west I didn't understand why some people enjoyed tanning so much, mainly this is the white folks of course 😅 but for me I didn't want to get darker only because it meant more about protecting my skin from sudden changes than it was about being whiter. I don't wear makeup either, but I do want to try to have a clear complexion and that's hard without some makeup 😢
I never understood tanning much either (and I am American). All it does is age your skin but the majority of the population is ignorant. In Medieval Times however making big efforts to stay white were more popular since tanned skin was associated with being a poor worker.
@@chancewatkins5071 yeah and I think it was similar to other Asian countries too, I know I only get darker if I go outside a lot, and I noticed spots and discoloration to more highly sun exposed areas. So I can understand why people associated becoming darker to that it just got twisted into a colorism thing now
@@chancewatkins5071What exactly were those in the medieval times gonna say if they see someone who is naturally dark in complexion then, since they associate dark with poverty?
I'm glad this video about the difference in cultures was done with good taste and respect for BOTH cultures . I HATE videos in which someone puts down one country, to boost their own . I'd like to see MORE respectful videos like this . ❤
The eyeliner on the lower lid was popular in the U.S.A. in the 1980's. The goal was to emphasize the eyes. It was so popular that some band members got the line permanently tattooed on their lower lid. Look up artists like Bonnie Taylor, Madonna in 1985, and bands like RATT.
What do you guys chat about for hours? That's impressive. Though it's more likely that I'm just boring since I have a hard time fathoming talking for hrs.😂

@@vl1180Ehhh. If you’re talking about the US that isn’t really the beauty standard it’s more just built into the system. Beauty standard likes whiteness but not too white lol in Japan it’s like actually the color white, in the US it’s tan whiteness.
Please somebody tell me "Game Apina" has monkeys as a theme?? The word "apina" means "monkey" in Finnish, and Japan has a ton of Finnish words as names of shops. 😅
Sorry, their mascot (which I don't recall ever seeing before and had to look up) is definitely a cat, not a monkey. Most businesses here have names that are based on Japanese, English, or French. There are a couple of Nordic chains here, though.

@@stanvanillo9831 Mate, if you're only taking 5 seconds to wet, scrub, and thoroughly rinse your plates, you better hope you don't get sick eating off of them.
@@stanvanillo9831 around 30 seconds per plate or bowl depending on the food that was in or on it. 15-30min to soak the dishes first before scrubbing and washing them so that they are *clean*, grease free, and devoid of food specs and stains. It's not about being slow; it's about being hygienic, which worryingly doesn't seem to be of a concern for you.
@@raven_bard you might want to soak a pan if you have fried something in it. But plates, bowls, non-stick pans, cutlery etc, why would I soak them? Also do you actually know how long 30 seconds are? It's just stupid to believe that a plate is not clean after 5 second.
The line under the eye (not sure what Japanese call it, I only know it as aegyosal) works for Asians because many of them already have that puffy bit under their eyes, they're just highlighting it to look cuter. Speaking as a white westerner, it doesn't work for me at all. Not only do I not have the little puffy parts, but I have big round eyes so drawing on some fake aegyosal looks so ridiculous and over the top on me. 😭 I wish it worked though, I love the look of it.
“Japanese people also like to appear as white as possible” sounds colorist… as a black woman why would I want to change my skin tone lol. Usually you want your makeup to match your skin tone

Sounds like you picked your activities based on what "most japanese girls" would do... That's not really a typical day for most people though, that's more of a stereotypical day. On average people do a lot of average stuff each day, but we don't actually spend our entire days doing only the most average activities possible 🤔
This is not a "typical" or "most realistic" day for any Japanese female. Typical day is school, chores, cooking, cleaning, etc., and personal time is VERY limited.
the opposite ?? lmao are you forgetting the centuries or genocide and colonization europeans did??? being pale was the epitome of beauty for centuries and still is. why else would ethnic cleansing happen from canada, to mexico, to australia
Dude fr whiteness is basically still the standard in Western countries even if black and brown people are gradually becoming a little more accepted in society 💀
Staying white without splashing and tanning is a great thing, first of all it's not healthy to tan, secondly if a person is born white he shouldn't feel bad about it, it's part of who he is and it's a beauty in itself
