The full prophecy (Daniel 7) says the Messiah, called Son of Man since He came in that form, receives the worship of men and angels, and an eternal kingdom, which is the kingdom of God. Jesus called Himself "I am" in John 8.58, - "Before Abraham was I am"- a title of God revealed in Exodus 3. @@razib00007 But you have to distort the actual words to make that fit. The Son of Man is the one who receives the eternal kingdom, and the worship of men and angels. The chapter is passing through a great history of regimes contrary to God, with a key highlight being the ascent of the Son of Man to receive the eternal kingdom. But Jesus has entrusted the Kingdom to christian believers, so that for instance you see they have been made co-heirs with Christ. Through prayer and mission they can work now to bring the Kingdom in, then it is prophesied they will come at the 2nd coming of Christ to enforce the Kingdom during the Millenium. See in 7.27 its not essentially the Saints' kingdom but God's - Jesus is God. If you wanted to make it the Saints' kingdom then they would receive the worship of men and angels, which could not be, as that would be idolatrous. But the Messiah is shown to be divine in a number of the messianic prophecies, so its not idolatrous in His case, but His due.

I would love to see more of Nabeel’s lessons like these today that he may have done before leaving this plain. I was stunned and heartbroken years back when I learned that he had passed. I personally discovered him early on in his apologetics Ministry and can’t tell you how many hours I spent watching his amazing apologetic debates against leading scholars of the Koran. What you’ve done and achieved in your short but powerful time on earth far exceeds what most have ever been able to achieve in a much longer lifetime. That's where the concept of Trinity comes in. One God manifested as 3 Persons, Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Jesus stated he would raise his body (John 2:19) which he did. God raised Jesus’s Spirit and in the Spirit state he was able to raise his body. Just as angels who are Spirits can materialize into flesh (Genesis 6/the two angels that appeared to lot came in the form of men Genesis 19/Hebrews 13:2. And flesh and blood cannot inherit Gods kingdom 1 Corinthians 15:50 As for hell Sheol, hades, Gehenna, and hell have become synonymous and most Bibles now translate them all hell. Hell is a Germanic word meaning to hide or cover over. Which is what we do with dead bodies. But when Jesus spoke of hell and or hell fire he used the word Gehenna. Which is an actual place outside of Jerusalem where they burned trash (hence lake of fire) also in O.T. Times they sacrificed babies there. Jesus spoke in parables (a simple moral or religious lesson that would be FAMILIAR to the listener Matthew 13:34) the garbage dumb outside of Jerusalem would be familiar to the Jews. As a symbol of destruction. If the lake of fire is an eternal place of torment then why is the lake of fire thrown into hell at Revelation 20:14? In those times torment or torturers were used for jailers or a jail sentence (KJV or older Matthew 18:34) the idea of an eternal place of torment for 80 to 100 years of sin is such an unjust and unloving punishment for a just and loving God. A few of those in the New Covenant are still alive on earth. Jesus is leading this remnant and those who join them, in the final warning work (Matthew 24:14). Actually Daniel 7:13,14 is about a CHOSEN ANGEL. He is LIKENED to a SON OF MAN. Jesus used that term on himself to identify with that chosen angel of Daniel's prophecy. Remember that the prophecy says that the angels BROUGHT this angel up into the presence of God. God then confers on this chosen angel rulership ect.

Has one ever wondered why John wrote 'and the Word was a god' (plain God in some translations)? WAS is the past tense of IS. That showed that Jesus no longer was in the state that he had been while in heaven. He gave up his spirt form and became a human. See John 1:14. I have a question. This conclusively proves that Jesus claims to be the Messiah, god's chosen representative on earth. But that does not immediately lead to Jesus being god. Am I missing something here? These could very well be different entities. Since the Messiah is chosen by god, it would make sense that god grants him privileges such as sitting right next to him, dominion over earth etc without actually being god/part of the trinity.

To understand the second part of what Jesus said, this may help. (Matthew 24:13) But the one who has endured to the end will be saved. These survivors of the coming war of change will NEVER DIE. See Revelation 7:9,10,14. The ones who have died will be resurrected back onto earth (Acts 24:15). The survivors will help these resurrected ones acclimatize to the New Earth. Just some help.
