How JoJo Part 4's Live Action Movie Fixed Keicho | The Art of Adaptation 

One thing I love about keicho’s character is that he could have had Okuyasu kill their father- but he didn’t. He wanted to spare okuyasu that trauma, which adds so many more layers to the character.

i feel like content creation has really evolved. Someone whose relatively small with a great script, visuals, and audio. Truly wonderful

this video is criminally underrated. It goes so much in depth for a character that almost nobody remembers. I like to play as Keicho in ASBR.

Considering the arrow track record, I can see why Keicho stated he killed too many to back down. Angelo went on to kill Josuke grand-father and Koichi (alongside countless others) would have died without crazy diamond help. Then we got akira who immediately killed Keicho, fought the group and planned on assassinating Joseph Joestar later on From that sample we got - Killer, doomed, Killer. And that is not including the few other successful attempt we encountered like the yandere or the two control freak. Without counting Ratt or the ones made by Yoshikages father

The scene with keicho shooting angelo in not a plot hole, it was never deeply explained in anime/manga/adaptation but it is implied that his dad basically has deadpool's abilities so not even angelo could kill him. I think he shot him for three resons first to remind him who's stronger cuz he was getting cocky, second because he was like "kill my father, you wish you could bro" and third because even if his father was abusive keicho spended his entire life trying to 'free him' while angelo was simply doing well whatever he wanted. (I saw the movie yesterday I give it a 6/10)

Technichaly the arrow is drawn to potential stand users as we see on multiple different occasions later in part 4 even going as far as to phisically alter its course so it can hit its intended target. So most of the people keicho hit where destined to beacome stand users.

Saw the movie at the world premiere event with both director Takashii Miike and the main actor, was shocked how good it was, and that it happened in Switzerland of all places lmaooo But seriously one of the most underrated movies ever, i dunno why it's almost unknown, and i dream of a second movie since then !

Why didn't they keep Angelo's hair red? He looked so much more psychotic with orange hair!

Ive been a Jojo fan for over 4 years now and DiU is my favorite part so WHY DIDNT I KNOW THERE WAS A MOVIE?

i think if any part deserves a live action its jojolion, considering how much of the part is dialogue based and the overall feel and setting seems perfect for a live action (also i dont think we´re getting an anime adaptaion in our lifetime)

1. The saddest part about Keicho is that Okuyasu's The Hand was literally the perfect stand to kill their father. But they never even imply that he tried to get him to do so, meaning that he likely didn't want Okuyasu to live with commiting such an act 2. I think that if the ending had stayed as ut was in the manga, Red Hot Chilli Pepper killing Keicho, people would have been more receptive to the idea of a *series* of movies covering Part 4. Granted, its no guarantee what with with this movie skimming roughly through the first quarter of the Part, meaning that a LOT of stuff would have been cut anyway if they had gotten to Kira.

I was never intent to read or watch JoJo at all. Because the art style never vibe with me (big mistake, I know!) But, that fate full day, it was my first time visit Japan, I were bored to dead so I check the movie section on my passenger seat, and JoJo Part4 live action was one on movie list of that flight. I heard sooooo many prise for this JoJo so I check it out. And holy shit I were so invest in the movie. I don't understand why but I were hooked. After that trip, I checked all the anime adaption up to part 5, read all the chapter in manga. And before I know. I'm JoJo fan.

I really hope we get a sequel to this at some point. Part 4 is definitely adaptable to remove all of those minor arcs in the story, and segue straight into everything that happens as a result of Kira Yoshikage being introduced

honestly, as fun as Keicho was, I think the movie would had been better if it was just the Angelo arc since they spent so much time expanding him alongside with Josuke's grandpa, unfortunately that means that they took A LOT of time and screentime away from Josuke, that doesnt really get a time to shine like his manga countrapart, instead we get someone trying too hard to be a young Jotaro without much success, instead of the fun goofball that we later learn Josuke really is. I guess the cartoon expressions really sell the "this guy isnt really that serious, he is fun" don't really translate well to live action who's exagerating faces only send Josuke into the "trying too hard to look cool" category. And while I understand the first episodes of DiU manga had Josuke drawn much closer to Jotaro than later parts of DiU, I don't think that emulation worked well in the film itself. Josuke's grandpa was great though, expanding on him was an incredible decision and increasing the monstrous side of Angelo while tuning down his evil goofiness makign him a much better villain

The movie isn’t great but I absolutely love it. To me I feel like it’s a lot better if you think of it as a standalone work in the series, in contrast to how accurate it is to the source media.

I wouldn't say the Yu Yu Hakusho was a good adaptation. It was an entertaining show, but it tried to stuff too much story into too little time and ended up ruining some of my favourite moments from the original anime.

There were a lot of good ones, just not really from america. Before 2020, we had pretty much only alita battle angel in the west for passable anime live actions. But one of the best films in the world is a manga: Oldboy The GinTama films were enjoyable and purposefully jank Death Note had multiple good movies in japan Basilisk got a decentish movie in the form of Shinobi: Heart Under Blade Heard good things about the Nana live action Rurouni Kenshin apparently has good live actions you shouldn't watch cuz the mangaka of rurouni kenshin is a convicted pedophile etc Let alone all the fucking exceptional theatre musicals anime have gotten. Yu Yu Hakusho didn't look good from whta I seen (an episode), so disappointing that I literally stopped watching it. The beginning situation is one of the most impressive series starts for it's time, genuinely made me cry upon each viewing, the tv show rushed it, evoked none of the emotions that series did, and made it all seem like a cheap youtube fan video.
