Despite the odds driving against her, Josie Fouts, a scientist-turned-national-champion continues to defy expectations. Born without a left hand and adopted at five months old, Fouts learned early in life to defy expectations and live life on her own terms. In 2018, while working as a scientist, she realized she wanted to embody the principles of health - not just study it. Thanks to the encouragement of her partner and community, Fouts began her journey into elite para-cycling and now is on a mission to close the opportunity gap for disabled athletes.
