Great video! I think these ego structures that propagate conflict out of realizing their sense of identity might be in threat to a greater cultural or ideological entity is something we can see in basically all types of organizations, companies, religions, sports teams, etc...
Great insights and great vision. Consciousness of the psychology of the unconscious will help us to be aware when our unconscious is leading us astray. To become conscious of our unconscious...
Nice video dude. My parents immigrated from Iran to Britain and i grew up as a British Iranian. It was weird cus as a child i would go there every summer and be warmly embraced by friends and family. When i'd return to Britain, the only thing i ever heard about middle easterners was that they were all a bunch of terrorists who were responsible for 9/11. In saying that, im generally grateful l that i live in a country that, generally, encourages people to be tolerant to those who are somewhat different.
Understanding and building bridges so that both groups can understand each other. There needs to be room for cultural expression but also a mutual understanding of collective unity. Language bridges are usually a good start.
Mono-culture and Sub-cultures division or placement of identity. There's only so much space for a cultural identity, and the mono-culture filters out incompatible parts of the subcultures.
Your asking the public if example have happened and to share your story. I live in a small English town in Cascapedia of gaspe province of Quebec. With the largest Atlantic salmon in the world beging caught and released for over 150years. There is a breaking point coming of low English population. I have learned the most powerful English, native and francophone are secretly acting like communist and ruining good people's lives they are very weak cowards who are losing control because they are aging and unintelligent! I give my life to bodybuilding to increase my strength and intelligence and become the next natural bodybuilding champion of Quebec. Wish me luck for that I may find the right path and succeed!
Separatist example: It's faint, but you can see a homogonizing multicultural society vs a homogeneous monocultural societies. Similar to how America in the 80s and even now exported a global culture adopted by other countries in their food, clothing, architecture, and governments(cough...cia), the key difference now being no genetic identity so materialism is needed as a substitute (a people vs a gdp). Im not the best orator but if the comment is too vauge , a fun game to play is looking at urban metropolises from different countries to see this in action. I think the gist of it is the difference between postulative nations and ethnonations. One has the option of intigration while the other is closed, and since culture is based on shared heritage, postulative nations need broader qualifications while the erhnonations have inate qualifications.
Greetings Nexus Void, and thank you for all of your excellent videos, particularly those on the Bicameral Brain. This video, however, I found unsatisfactory, although not through any fault of your own, (aside from the unacceptable title!) but rather due to Jung's own, as I perceive, political shortcomings. While Jung, my favourite psychologist, is deserved in his legendary status and offers many pertinent and groundbreaking theories about individual and collective psychology, I find his application of these theories to the political sphere highly inadequate, offering extremely little explanatory purchase and betraying a total neglect of the reality of material and economic conditions as drivers of history and politics or the organisation of society. I am wondering whether you are familiar with Marx and his theory of Historical Materialism, which gives vastly richer and more comprehensive explanation of the movement of history than perhaps any other theory available, and in my opinion, offers by far the most explanatory power in this regard. Are you studied in this subject, and if so, do you plan on making another of your excellent videos on it any time soon? Thank you again.
Thank you for your feedback and apologies for the title, RU-vid demands such exaggerations to increase click rates. I am only somewhat familiar with economics with respect to the political spectrum and Jung's analysis here is solely concerned with human psychology as a driver of historical events. So in that regard his analysis is incomplete because it does not account for the factors which you have mentioned, but I think that these factors are the more potent historical force for they even operate in a realm beyond economics. I could be wrong however, as I am not well versed in economic theories apart from rudimentary knowledge and so I am not particularly qualified to assess the impact of economics on history.
You should probably do more research on political subjects and make sure to get both sides when developing a position. it's necessary to get as much information as possible and to charitably present the best arguments from each side instead of taking for granted that the presentation of facts from one perspective as honest encapsulations of their opponent's views. The amount of times you take the Western view on a subject and take it for granted shows a startling lack of critical questioning of the dominant imperialist paradigms.
This isn’t a political argument kind of video, plus I’m sure Jung would agree on the bias politics breeds. This is just a explanation of the psychology of history(mind).
