the way i think of it is this. kendrick couldnt make any of lupes albums, but lupe couldnt make gkmc tpab mr morale etc. who's catalog is better? kendrick's. lupe could never commercially outperform kendrick, which is where the jealousy stems from. lupe's flow can be a bit off and hard to get into, and like the guy in the video said, kendrick is more relatable and easy to understand.

Lupe and Game are very similar. Dot became THE guy in the conscious rap lane that Lupe once thrived in and Kendrick also became the West Coast darling: a spot once held by The Game in the mid 2000s. Both sound salty when Kendrick’s name is brought up today.
