Thoroughly enjoyed this interview!!! It was soooo good had to watch it 3 times!!! Big Ups to Kingsley and The Host!!!! It was a great interview with genuine happiness and eagerness to talk about Bob Marley, his Life and the movie One Love ❤️💛💚🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Patois it's a very emotional language. And we dont pronouce h's most times. Ex: hear= "ear". So I think he did awesome for someone with an English accent!
I have seen the preview to this and I do really really want to see it I'm you know some of my family is from the Caribbean and stuff like that so I really do want to see it but I just want to know if anybody out there actually feels like maybe possibly were kind of sick of people playing us that are not jamacian or black, but English people are getting all the parts.
I do believe it will be good and he seems very prepared but I dont think they should have gotten someone who is not a main stream, maybe a actor who shares the culture and roots of bob marley I think those movies subtitles and all brings such a connection of people outside the culture to connect and step into their world and culture through the art.I will be supporting this movie.
Naturally It would of been more authentic if an actor born and raised in Jamaica played him but I Mon just Givethanks that the Marley’s atleast chose a Blackman atleast to play the Ras
I was so disappointed by this film that I saw yesterday in France. No soul, no transcendence. They just used Bob's name in vain to make a quick buck. Ziggy Marley has definitely no talent. They were supposed to be talking about a radical artist, a militant, a rebel, a genius... You don't see that in the film. We don't get into the complexity of the man he must have been, everything is smooth and doesn't have the accent of truth. And we certainly don't see how the CIA murdered Bob by offering him poisoned sneakers! The trailer has more emotion than the whole movie! Bad movie!
U mean to tell me, out of all the Jamaican men in Jamaica, there's no one they could have picked for this role?? Im sure it's thousands of Jamaican men they could have picked for this role. What is up with all these British actors getting all the rolls?!!
His face is not rough enough looking either!! Bob was very handsome, buy rugged looking, not petty boy sweet face looking like this guy. I guess im just upset they didn't hire a real Jamaican man for this part.
Kingsley well respected Bob and really put his heart an soul into this part people in London are well acquainted with the Jamaica patios Bob himself lived here for 2yrs after he got shot in Jamaica so English people kinda claim a bit of Bob for themselves his father was British decent so a lot of connections to England. Understandable Jamaican people would want a Jamaican to play Bobs Part however Kingsley is a seasoned actor and also biracial like Bob I feel he done an excellent job because he loves Bob he wanted to do the part justice and was very sensitive to Bobs family and friends advice he didn't have attitude such as its my part he showed real genuine respect and admiration to all a really nice humble person his admiration for the Marlys and Neville Garick shines through in his interviews in my opinion
This is a very good interview. Makes me want to see the work. To be honest , I thought Kingsley is to nice of a ‘Actor’ to play Tuff Gong. 🤷🏽♀️ thinking nobody can really play him. Because the center of the character is more spiritual then intellectual. It’s bigger then emotion . What is moving him ? See the way he danced. Can u feel that ? 🇺🇸 🎬✍🏾🌏🎞🇯🇲🎤❤ Leah Tunkara
