One of the comics said Godzilla lost an old lair in his youth because a Kong forced him out, which paints the conflict as more gray. We didn't know who started it, but we got the hint that the Kongs likely also inflicted cruel acts on the other side.
An evil Kong leader who crushes any and all opposition, enslaving other Titans and using them for work and war? What if Kong’s family was all that remained from the Kongs who opposed the Scarred King and the skullcrawlers were sent to finish them off? Like that situation between Quill and Ego where Quill was almost led into following his dad but then Ego revealed that he put the tumor in Quill’s mom’s head?
You guys should definitely do a video on the island where Dog comes from. The second island was definitely the biggest surprise to me when I watched it all. Makes you wonder if maybe that's paving the way for anything in the future. It seems to hint that there are other islands around the world like Skull Island. It would make sense to me that if there are other islands in the vicinity of Skull Island, that some of its species would find ways to migrate to them. Maybe there’s an archipelago of some sort. Another possibility is the second island used to be a part of Skull Island but it eventually broke off. The canon tabletop game does state Skull Island use to be a larger land mass so it’s a possibility. Another question is how did Dog even get to Skull Island. The characters just assume he swam but as we see at the end of the season Dog CAN’T swim well. So I doubt he swam to Skull from such a distance. There has to be HE tunnels connecting both islands and a HE entry point on Annie’s Island. Anywhere on the surface that has a entry point to the HE has the potential to allow things from the HE to the surface. Antarctica was almost a Skull Island.
At the end of the season, Dog was hurt from having to carry Annie and Charlie on his back as well as the various gunshots he'd sustained up to that point. It's not a great explanation, because he was somehow able to take Charlie, Annie and Mike out of the hole together with a similar amount of gunshots, but it's what the episodes give us. Charlie recognizes, from Dog's whimpering, that he can't hold them both so Charlie jumps off to get captured. Now, while that incident reveals that Annie is a very unobservant and bad Dog owner, there's a difference between not noticing him in pain from doing something he had never consistently done (carrying two people) and being wrong for the entire show and ten years before about his ability to swim. The ending was very contrived though. It would have made more sense if, after luring Kong to the Kraken instead of just watching, they actually tried to go back for Charlie, and instead of being suddenly worse at swimming, the issue was just that Kong flooded the island like he does at the end of the fight sooner. It's possible that Dog went through the Hollow Earth, but I don't think it's likely because Annie said you get sick if you go down there. Sure, that speaks to personal experience but also a lot of hesitation to venture down far enough to switch islands. There's also the matter of which tunnel Dog would have taken. The main Skull Island Vile Vortex is closer to where the comics take place, which creates the problem of Dog surviving Death Jackals, Psychovultures, etc. This show introduced the new one by Kong's temple, but Dog can't have used that one because he was too scared to climb down from where he would have already climbed out of if that were the case. That leaves the smaller tunnels that the Skullcrawlers come from, which I also do not think Dog could survive
This idea that the Kong's (through Orangu-Kong) obliging to kill & conquer & Titanus Gojira acting as a counter would make for an even fantastic & greater tragedy! How the actions of a malicious mind brought both species close to oblivion! & how This Godzilla & Kong breaking the cycle of hate could be made even more impactful!
It's just like with the Atlantians in Gamera, the Kong's hubris was their downfall, they sew the seeds of their destruction, and were punished by Mother Nature for their actions This theory makes so much sense, I mean the Kong species is basically us, abusing and taking advantage of the world's resources but on a larger scale, and thus received harsher consequences as a result
Man someone needs to make a game that's completely open world and the world if the earth fully. Where you play as a titan and can either choose to play with other people on live servers or single player so you can play as any titan and explore challenge other titans for their territory and what not thatd be lit
Was watching GKotM and noticed during the credits that humans were creating organic and mechanical titans on Skull Island. Also, it showed that more titans were coming to Skull Island. So, Skull Island may still play a part in future movies. It may not be as destroyed as we were led to believe.
As far as I'm concerned, it all makes sense. The Godzilla species took down the Kong species because they were becoming too human, and their ruler was a dictator, as well as a war monger. Compare that to our history it only makes sense that the Godzilla's would rise up against a Kong's… And sadly any Kongs that thought this war or the subjugation of the world was wrong, was either killed or banished. I have a small hypothesis that the small band of cons that were on skull island are refugees from the war, those that did not want to partake in it, nor support their cruel ruler. And because they were a small band that could eventually become a threat to his rule, the scarred king decided to send some skull crawlers to eradicate them to make sure that if there was any dissent within his empire, it would be stamped out, not knowing that he is responsible for eliminating the last of his kind… Or so he thought. That's just my take on it but yeah, it all makes sense
@@a-uncreative-person the Godzilla's were trying to restore balance, because the Kongs were becoming more human as well as having a crual dictator of a leader, and you think a war didn't happen… Are you saying that the war was more of a annihilation?
Lore wise I think the kongs were mostly culled by the few Godzillas because they needed to much in resourced as in food more then building material. eating all the wild life meant to help protect the planet is really bad for balance. but once almost all the titans were dead and there was little to watch over, that could be why they all went to sleep. having so few kongs on the hollow was better than having them on the surface.
I have a theory (or a hypothesis as there isn’t evidence) but what if in the ancient days tension was tight between the kongs and gojiras, but the breaking point was the arrival of ghidorah. Maybe the kongs didn’t help fight, which made the gojiras die off, then that was the breaking point and they killed the kongs?
What if King Scar is the one responsible for wiping Kong's entire Family by sending Skull crawlers using his giant whip. I mean the Kong species are probably just refugees, that means Kong has more reasons to be in conflict with King Scar as a man plot and story.
In the new trailer, i saw something shocking. For all this time, i thought that scar king and kong were the only ones left, but in the trailer, you see many other alive kongs
bro the anims were amazing, especially for a beginner. i would expect this from a studio that was starting out, not from one person, keep it up and maybe we will see you in the credits of godzilla one day.
I have a theory that maybe the "evil" kong isin't actually evil, but neutral Maybe later on in the movie kong will meet this ape and start to bond with him and maybe make wepons out of the bones of the creatures in his temple But then kong see's the skeletons of his kind, he starts to get angry but orangoKong calms him down somehow Later on in the movie godzilla will sence the 2nd kong and go fight him, but orangoKong nows this and sets up traps for the G man, but only one works, wich is a hole with spikes at the bottom covered with leafs OrangoKong calls kong to help him finish godzilla but kong hesitates, orangoKong is confiused and roars at kong to help him, but then godziila beams him and he falls over, kong is now wondering if he should help godzilla or orangoKong, but it's to late becouse godzilla came out of the hole Godzilla roars in anger at kong and runs towords him, but kong punches godzilla in the face, then orangoKong stabs godzilla in the back with a sharp bone And kong and orangoKong start to beat the ever living shit out of godzilla, but thanks to the atomic breath, godzilla gets kong a comfy distance away to start 1v1ing orangoKong, godzilla gets some hits in and orangoKong gets dome hits in Then they hear a weird roar outside the temple, and they find a swarm of skull crawlers running towords the exits of the hollow earth, godzilla runs at the skull crawlers to prevent them getting on the surface but then, a weird beam hits godzilla, something shot at him It was some kind of reptilian creature but it was gigantic, bigger than godzilla Then the creature fires at the the temple, wich makes orangoKong pissed, a epic fight is about to begin with godzilla, kong and orangoKong fighting this colosal threat You can imagine the rest if the fight yourself :) But sadly, orangoKong dies in the battle
To me it seems more likely that the Scarred King is simply a ruler gone mad with power and immortality. Not only had he led his people into the subjugation of other Titans and into war but it also seems as though he may have killed those who had followed him - all for the sake of possibly absorbing their power similarly to how he absorbs the power of the nuclear energy in his lair. Perhaps having gained the initial taste of this power cause the Scarred King to go mad thus leading to more drastic decisions which in turn may have led to the War between Kongs and Gojiras and the Scarred King killing off his own kind, which would explain as to why some Kongs would be against him. Perhaps other Kongs followed him to gain power from those they have killed like their king, only to then serve as fuel for the very king they served thousands of years after. Perhaps all those bones within the Scarred King's lair are the bones of his faithful warriors and generals that served him before he killed them to absorb their power and gain ever lasting life - however now that the Scarred King is out of Titans to kill in his lair, now he must emerge to slay more to retain his ever lasting life.
King Louie is not the same species as King Kong, he is from the same family, but appear more orangutan-like, hence the nickname "King Louie". It could be an ancient rivalry between two different ape species though. Gorillas and chimpanzees occasionally fight in the wild, I'm sure if orangutans and gorillas both lived in Africa (or vice versa) there would be some sort of competition, although they may avoid competition by occupying different niches, since the orangutan is clearly more arboreal. This is sort of the case with the lions and leopards, as the latter are more tree climbers and occupy more forested areas while the lions are on the plains. Fun fact: leopards are the only natural enemy of the gorillas, so it would seem natural to introduce a leopard like monster in the future.
There's a possibility that Scar King attacked the Godzillas for resources and that triggered the Gojis to attack, kinda like how Japan pulled the US into WW2.
Myself yes I could absolutely believe this because it lines up very well with the lore and what we see on film. For instance Kong's family and the part of his race that fought the skull crawlers. What if Kong's didn't choose Skull Island but had to as a punishment for not following orders of their king. So when the skull crawlers came in such great numbers Kong's family didn't so much as not wanting to leave they couldn't leave for something much worse than skull crawlers waited for them below. It would also show why Godzilla sought Kong out once off skull island as the Gman fought against Kong's race to end their conquest and Godzilla feeling a Kong was roaming the earth meant the conquest would start again much like Ghidorah coming to life and Godzilla meeting him head on. If this new Kong isn't the same one that started this war it may be the last one similar to Kong, but unlike King this one was raised with his family and believes the Kong's are the true rulers hence the war sparking again.
If there's an evil Kong dictator and given that Kongs did give loyalty to the clan I do wonder whether the current Kong will do the same after all heck they are literally the last two of there kind.
I mean makes sense why The war began but there has to be more to it with more something to the surface then we think but it's up to our boy Kong to know what comes next for his people cuz if there are more Kong's down there it'll be up to him what will he will do for his people and hopefully he will still be on good terms with Godzilla maybe not friends yet but its allies who understand each other and know what they're all about most likely cuz if they are the last of each of their kind they have to know how this ancient rivalry story end but the question is what does the score King want now and how powerful we become we'll only have two wincy and see but either way the story of the ghosts and scores of the past will close and a new beginning for the monsterverse also if I may I have two requests if I may please ask I would like a part 2 to what kind of weapons Kong would have because like you said the Kongs used it tools and we're like the Vikings so they probably made weapons from the carcasses of other kaijus my questions what kind of weapons made from the remains of other kaijus did they use maybe they have some kind of armor to but I don't know what my second video is what if kong made in time to save his friend and her people I mean I have a other King Kong idea for a what-if and it is what is the adventure never came to skull Island have a few idea how that could go if anyone wants to know but either way you'll have a good day and do keep up the good work
Everyone assumed in the lead-up to GvK that the Godzilla species was the aggressor in their war. But it's looking more and more like the Kongs were. People try too hard to empathize with Kong's species on some kind of "they're just like us" appeal to emotion lol Not me though, I've always been #TeamGoji And as we've seen with Kong, as he begins to outgrow his environment, he becomes more destructive toward it. Even eating everything else, including other critters. Kinda the opposite of Godzilla popping up to maintain balance. So it stands to reason that the Kongs as a whole were also just as destructive and resource consuming.
I think the Kong Species dominated Scar King’s Species, but Scar got the purple energy to make him smarter and bigger and more athletic and he went in a revenge tour and used the kings as a tool against the ‘zillas.
odd i did not see either kong or godzilla family tree being so war like, i mean when you walk around with enough fire power to level a city your just like shrug to conquest. so something is going on that we don't have a full picture yet.
I feel a gorilla city still around somewhere other than skull island and the core earth just like we seen they praised Godzilla deep in the earth thousands of years ago
I have the feeling zilla and scar know eachother and had a run in in the past so when they see eachother its gone be that tension like “mf its you your still alive😡”
I think scar king waged war against the royal kongs, they were driven away and he enslaved the rest , also his whip may be the body of Tiamat , I mean he is 400ft tall
1:29 This thing about the Kongs enslaving other titans is not real. People were spreading this around claiming the GVK novel said it, I read it just to see if it was real, it wasn’t. It doesn’t say anything about Kongs taming, controlling or making other titans serve them.
I'm thinking because of the way Godzilla versus Kong ended; when both Godzilla's ancestors and Kong's ancestors lived both originally worked together to keep balance. Then one ancestor of Kong decided to claim full reign of everything there by killing the alpha of the Godzilla species. And that's what kickstarted the whole rivalry. GvK to me gave the vibe from Godzilla he knows about the history between the Kong's and his own family; but just just doesn't care and wants to move on and recreate what both families were. Both living in balance. Looks at the filler comic books. No matter how much is questionable or not; you can clearly see Godzilla keeping the other titans in check. So maybe in the new empire Kong might side by side with an ancestor because he's family only for Godzilla to knock some sense back into Kong. Or Kong could just start acting more like Godzilla and working alongside him and his ancestor doesn't like that there by creating another titan war. So maybe during the original titan war Ghidorah got roped into the war and he wiped out the Kong species. Because one fact was mentioned in king of the monsters a couple times; humans and titans once lived in peace and harmony alongside each other and needs to again. So what if the endgame of the monsterverse is going to be a full blown titan war led by Godzilla and Kong? It would literally be the all monsters attack movie remade. I'm also using the fact that Legendary is using previous Godzilla and Kong stories and elements and making them more of a believable story. I wouldn't be surprised if Skull island got a season 2 and change the name of the Kaiju dog to Ceaser.
Yep I knew it, the Kongs are like us humans, fuckin up the balance, if the Godzilla species was so bad, why did he leave kong alone after his foot was in his sternum instead of finishing him off, granted kong was dying but still he wanted him 2 submit, Godzilla never wants 2 put anything down for good, he even left the other muto alive which adapted to become predators of his species
Well, they live on an island that provides a near-constant stream of giant, deadly monsters. I just figured their numbers were whittled down by Skullcrawlers or something 🤔
If you think this new Kong had an army, and survived in the Hollow Earth, its possible some members of that army are still alive in the Hollow Earth too
Always loved the concept KOTM introduced of the Titans being the inspiration for humanities legend and myths. The Titans being "the first gods". Would love if we find out OranguKong is actually the inspiration for Ymir and Kronos, ancient old world gods who fathered the next gods and devoured their children, having a cannibalistic titan could be an intense threat.
Godzilla’s species pushed Kong’s species from the hollow earth to Skull Island and killed the vast majority of them in the War. But when on skull island, what’s left were killed off by the Skullcrawlers, apart from Kong of course.
Chimpanzee-ong I mean if you think about it makes sense because chimpanzees will attack for whatever they'll remove everything to make themselves king and they're just vicious
What is the giant orange monkey killed Kongs family and frame has the school colors for being responsible what if I find out more about Kong in the movie not sure but just a theory
Idk. I still think the Gojiras started the war. Just look at Godzilla. He may be a balance bringer. But he also is very arrogant and full of pride. He even attacks Kong literally for fun. And he cares almost nothing for humanity.( Unlike Kong, who actually values human life and even communicates with humans and befriends them. Only killing those that attack him.) Personally, I still believe that Godzilla's kind started it. That and if you read th FULL lore, you know that the war ended more closely to a stalemate. Yes , the Kongs left for Skull Island, but they inflicted MASSIVE losses onto the Gojiras. Hence, why the Gojiras were easily hunted down by the Mutos and Muto Prime.
Why would he protect or befriend humans?! Every time we see them, they are either trying to enslave the Titans or trying to kill them. Kong is a fool who can only be used by humans for their own benefits.
i still can't take the idea of giant apes killing off nuclear radiated walking desth tanks seriously. Especially after witnissing said death tank take out an alien space dragon in the most spectacular way. The Godzilla species is RIDICULOUSLY overpowered. Hate that the monsterverse is trying to make us believe that a race of apes cam take them (soley for the fans probably). They're probably gonna give this giant orangutan powers or something silly 🤦🏻♂️ theyre low key tryna lead this guy to be a bigger and badder adversary than Ghidorah or Mecha G?? Cap bro 🧢 kinda insulting to those badass characters. In my opinion of course
