It would be so sick if everything goes black and white when Ichibe says "Ichimonji" Similarly to how everything lit up when Yamamoto released his bankai

I love the minimalistic approach. Kubo's mastery in using black and white color scheme is underrated and it helps make the characters as memorable as they are now. Same can be said for Chainsaw man too. Backgrounds are simple or shades of grey most of the time but whenever a pagespread appears, the backgrounds become so detailed and it is a treat to read.

Honestly I think Kubo would Live to Draw and Write a Batman Manga. Like the idea of Batman and his World is just Moraly Black and White plus Grey in my Opinion and his Art just looks Fitting in All the Right Way. I could easily see Every Bat Rogues in Black and White!

This is one of the main reasons the normal bleach manga is the best way to consume the series. The TYBW adaptation is really dope tho

I am pretty happy Manga decided to stick with Black and White rather than go with color (my personal favorite color combo! though I do like a cut of grey in there too). Bleach does B&W on another level!

You're somewhat right, I should've clarified I meant hard greys. He uses black and white lines to create a sense of grey and he does use fainter shades of grey (closer to white) for some character models, but he rarely uses hard greys.

Kubo only uses those for character shading, like skin, hair, shadows etc. I think the point was that, the black and White pop out more in every scene, be it the backgrounds, lettering or whatever, which is intentional.
