Brendon good work as usual but have you had a chance to look at Jacob 3d his explanation of angular slowdown and how that relates to the horizontal forces?. The best players are not putting on the brakes. They are releasing their angles from the club that causes this phenomenon. The quicker and the quality of they "lay" down of the club the more angular slowdown occur. Much like a figure skater spinning and then letting the arms out.

This was very interesting......... thanks. My take on "the move", it's basically a giant lower body forward press. It also perfectly syncs the arms with the body to start the backswing.

He does the Patrick Reed front foot move (and Bubba on drives).

Brendan and Scott Lynn, thank you for such interesting information. While fascinating to see how the most talented and athletic players move the club head and ball at extreme speed, I find it difficult to relate to my own desire to improve my speed (ie not being as talented and athletic). I'm interested in seeing how older golfers on the senior tour and even scratch golfers in their 60's to 70's are getting and retaining club head speed. Is it by rotational or ballistic moves? TPI and others seem to recommend that the pelvis only rotate -30 to - 46 degrees in the back swing and be at +35 to +50 degrees at impact (K Vest referencing PGA Range). Seems to me that Dr. Lynn is observing far greater pelvis turn in the backswing (which might be good for older golfers) with a posting up and severe slowing or stopping of of pelvis rotation prior to impact. The towel snap analogy comes to mind. Looking at players from the US Senior Long Drive Championships would be interesting. Winning distances in the 2019 divisions were 396 yds for 50+, 334yrs for 55+, 347 yds for 60+, 355 yds for 65+ and 331 yds for 70+. Also looking at the correlation between using these hitting techniques and possible knee and spine injuries would be very interesting. How could one use these swing ideas and minimize injury? I'd bet the USLDC players over 60 have some thoughts about that!

A simple question: Do you STAMP HARD on the ground to jump up high or just SQAUT DOWN deeper to jump up higher?

Believe it or not : To use Ground Action Reaction Force ( GARF) correctly the golf swing is simply two 1/2 steps. Push/Push move I/2 Step push with the lead foot to go back and then 1/2 step push with the trail foot to go forward. As you swing your club back and forth your body will automatically respond to the end of your swing If you don’t believe me take only one step with the left foot only and stop. Isn’t that the end of great golf swing? Mind blown! 😃

Golf instruction how stupid!!! The fastest sprinter in the world must use ground affect better than anyone else, right?? The fastest sprinter pushes harder on the ground than anyone else in the world!!!! To hit the ball long you need a God given ability, sorry for the evil reality!!!!!!

Fantastic analysis. Would love to see the same on Woodland. Destroying a lot of myths about the golf swing here.
