Australia's unemployment rate climbed higher in June, despite the creation of about 50,000 jobs.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics says the increase was due to an uptick in the proportion of Australians aged 15 and over in work or looking for it.
Most economists believe the numbers are insufficient to shift the dial at next RBA meeting in August.
Financial traders have now eliminated any chance of an interest rate cut in 2024, while they've marginally increased bets on a rate hike in August.
