Sometimes, when I'd be leaving at 2 am from the pizza store I managed, we'd take over a few to the donut shop next door and get warm, fresh donuts. Pretty fair trade!
You’d get sick of it after awhile, but then eventually become immune to it. I worked in a coffee shop which smells heavenly but I started to hate it. And my clothes at the end of a shift, woo stanky!
@@Patrick94GSR Yeah, but not too true. I've shared my life in a bakery. One of my best jobs ever, never got tired of my co-horts drifting over to my station to see whats going on...
My goodness, what a labour intensive job. I would never have considered the amount of machinery, physical labour and time it takes. I have seen small street vendors, making doughnuts while you wait and that was pretty fast. Thanks for the insight.
I don't eat doughnuts, but I find this sort of behind-the-scenes video fascinating. It's neat to see the slightly different techniques employed by the icers when frosting the doughnuts and then adding the sprinkles.
If they'd truly done something wrong they wouldn't have been in business since 1966. Not even a simple street food vendor can afford to make his customers sick if he intends to stay in operation.
Health violations. But the shop is warned ahead of time before any inspections. Also, when an inspection is scheduled, employees without green cards call in sick that day. I know, I worked for a union bakery on the west coast that was a hundred times larger than this. And yes, we had to wear nets on hair ,and over beards.
And the guy who is wearing his mask below his nose which is pointless and ineffective the management needs to tell staff to wear them properly and if you don't comply with that direction you are fired. No way would buy from this company with the current hygiene standards.
I loved watching this process... but what's going on with that person who has their mask hanging from one ear? I was just waiting for it to fall onto those beautiful donuts.
When I was 14 I worked at a donut shop. I would make the donuts at night with the franchise owner (breaking every labor law in the state of California for a 14 year old kid). It was a fun summer. Sometimes I would make the donuts all night and then sell them the next morning for a double shift. I still love donuts. I know many of the tricks in the trade.

I’ve applied for a job at this place about six times over the past two years and keep getting turned down. I’m starting to think my 415 pound weight might have something to do with it.
I wonder how often the oil gets changed. I also wonder if any bugs accidentally dies in that oil . How does a machine sense a foreign object… how long does production stop in order to clean that oil machine, to replace with new cooking oil
They sell them donuts at most of the gas stations here in las vegas. I like a place called Real Donuts on Cheyenne here in Vegas better. They have a better taste then the mass produced ones.
