YES ugh I've always wanted to have this kind of life. Even after the Abby hate storm Laura went through, she still has a hugeee loving community around her
@@folkwhore8322 It's so weird seeing people hate on Laura. In my opinion she is second only to Ashley (which was also in tlou) in sweetness, and like, there is such a huge disconnect between her and abby (great voice actor doing great voice actor things) that I can't wrap my head around it to this day.
@@bbittercoffee it's just those people. Probably the same group that hates Wyatt Russell being John Walker, Kelly Tran being Rose and Daisy Ridley being Rey in Star Wars. They just can't tell actors and characters apart, fuckin literal kids. And the fact that Abby's not even a badly written character?? Just frustrating
@@folkwhore8322 If Abby's story was better placed (not even re-written, I thought it was fine) I feel like it would be much better. And yeah, there is no way they aren't children or have the minds of children.
I like how when Laura thinks the question is about how they got started together in the industry, she's very detailed about what was going on, but when she remembers the question is about they got together, she's like "he moved to California, then three years later I did. Then we dated. Then we didn't date. Then he helped me find an apartment. Then we dated, then we got married." lol
I was at this panel. They had actually just come from CR s1 ep113 (the third to last episode and the episode right before the final fight) and flew 6 hours to to east coast with no sleep for a panel the next evening. They were dead tired and this is how it manifested 🤣
We had the officiant who married me and my wife start our ceremony with the Princess Bride "Mawwage..." line. 79 of the 80 people got the joke and thought it was hilarious. 1 person thought everyone in the crowd was so mean for laughing at the poor woman who was speaking in front of everyone with a speech impediment.
The line was said at Humperdinck and Buttercup's ceremony. Should have had the maid of honor do the old hag monologue at the wedding reception. Booing the bride and implying she betrayed true love to marry you would have been funny as hell, huh Humperdinck? ;D Just kidding. Hope nothing but the best for you and your Buttercup. It was your wedding. Hoping it was... As you wish. And, that you watch the movie with your grandkids.
They worked together, they became friends, they dated, they fell out of contact, they met up again, he did her a solid helping her move, they dated again, they married and even though that's a super clichè story these two still somehow managed to make it sound like the most adorable story in the world
With nuance they "fell out of contact" when Travis ghosted her out of some early-20s macho notion of not wanting to be "tied down" then after a while contacted here again and totally helped her move cuz he felt like shit about how he left things off xD
I love how in the show, despite being married, they are so kinda distant with one another. Like their deepest interactions are, "Grog, don't touch that."..... "But... but... but...." And so on. It's great. D&D is great.
There was that one time Grog complained he didn't get a kiss cause Keyleth just got kissed by Kash and then Vex kissed him. That one was totally just cause they were married.
I honestly didn't know until I saw this video. I thought this video was going to be some sort of 'Yeah, we two first met each other at studio x doing voice acting and a bunch of years later we started playing DnD together.' It really blew my mind and it makes me even more excited for the new season, having them all play out new characters and their relations will be interesting!
I knew they were friends with Mary, you can tell every time she is on CR how happy Laura and Travis are to see here kind like they are with Ashley, but to have officiate their wedding that is really cool.
Syrath and Taliesin officiated Matt and Marisha’s wedding! Dang. I wonder who will officiate Brian and Ashley’s? (Probably Brian’s parole officer, lbr)
@@h0lly_blue I laughed so hard at that mental image I actually had a coughing fit and nearly threw up. Just the image of one of the Cabbages from Muppets Christmas Carol and a bunch of animal puppets officiating a wedding.
I found out just recently that many of the critical role crew, as fate would have it, were on the anime “Monster.” Travis, Laura, Sam, Taliesin and Liam were all in it. Liam being the main character and Laura playing an important character. Everyone else was side characters lol.
@@salgutierrez4710 I think it’s cool that they worked prior to critical role and didn’t know how awesome it was going to be for them in the future. Even Laura and Travis acting with their future spouse is kind of cool.
. Travis signed my copy of FMA: the movie and I said, "I met your buddy Vic." Travis grinned. "Oh?" "Yeah, he's short." I said. "Aw, Vic's not short. He's FUN-SIZED!"
It was just a cacophony of fortunate genetics that made Travis and Laura. I like how even their attractiveness is. It's oddly satisfying to see a couple that are both equally as attractive as each other.
You have no idea how many beard checks he had to do for that....... Just in case you didn't know thats a refrence to a dnd thing they do called critical role.
Back in hs when I first found critical role my heart nearly stopped that episode where Laura just randomly kissed Travis irl to shut grog up. I was like “why is no one reacting??? Did I just witness an ao3 moment?? Do they like each other?” It wasn’t until a few years later that I found this video and I was like “OH THAT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE” 💀💀
I love hearing stories of how people met and the ins and outs of it because it just goes to show how topsy-turvy life and love can be but still turn out into finding love and happiness.
Laura : Stabs Travis Travis : Kills Laura Laura and Travis : Let's date I love these two, I remember watching so many different shows and playing so many games, hearing their voices and being amazed. Then found out they were married, and was so freaking happy that the two cutest VA's are married to each other!!!!
Well, they got married a few years after FMA: Brotherhood, but yes, it is ironic that these two have played an awful lot of characters that want to kill each other.
Goddammit I already love these two, now you're just killing me. Mary was also the officiator of their wedding? Why must my life be so boring and petty in comparison? =(
Ashtarte because you don't try. Wake up and go try. Don't know where to start? Neither did they., but you have got to devote all of your energy to what you want. Otherwise, it won't happen.
I'm gonna give it a guess but I think their relationship in Texas was a bit more "physical" if you catch my drift haha. Probably casual dating and no long term goals. Think about it. They were attractive people in their early to mid 20s. They weren't invested in each other enough emotionally for Laura to go with him to LA as a couple. I think it was more of an amicable separation rather than break up. She decided to go to LA probably purely for career goals later. She reconnected with Travis there and I think they must have hit it off pretty quickly again lmao since he helped her "find an apartment". What do you think?
Lol. Your theory makes sense. I was just always under the impression that they were one of those couples who date for years and years before finally getting married.
Yeah I thought that exact same thing. We got some new info in this little clip. I assumed they dated in Texas and moved to LA together. Or alternatively, merely knew each other from Texas and only dated when they both were in LA. Apparently, they moved to LA years apart and stopped dating at some point. Just goes to show love/marriage isn't exactly a straight road. There's some twists and turns along the way for a lot of people :)
Inevitably, there's that part of you that wants so badly to be like "Pfft. Who's this guy? There's no way he deserves her" when you see a chick like Laura who's just straight adorable and funny and etc. etc. But then you watch some Travis stuff and you're like "Well, damn. He's basically the coolest dude. Good work to the both of you."
Oh snap. I knew I recognized her. When I was 17, she visited a card/comic shop I used to practically live at. Her and the voice of Mr Satan/Mercule showed up in the DBZ Hummer and hung out for like an hour. It was such a blast. Damn man. Nothing beats that sensation in your brain when a single piece of information makes a ton of other information, years worth in my case, suddenly line up and make sense.
Gosh, i ship them - only word i have that explains the happiness i feel at their interactions. I really hope they become the couple that stays together until they're grey and old. If they break things off, i will stop believing in love. They're just so cute and pure and just-- I WANT THEIR RELATIONSHIP! XD
Well no shit, Born to wealthy parents, with ridiculously good genetics, who’re connected to other extremely wealthy and talented people. Even if their kid is as emotive as a rock, they’ll still get opportunities, and positions we’ll never dream of. Welcome to the worlds class system
What’s really cool is meet them at the ft worth office once when it was open i pick up and deliver right next it as the glass warehouse right next door. I didn’t t know they were at first and was talking anime and video games with them lol
I’m a huge fan of Skyrim and just recently started watching Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood ad i started to hear MANY voices from skyrim it was the weirdest thing ever. Then i realized these two Mustang and Lust and they battled each other bro it’s crazy i’m shook
There aren’t many people who find their perfect match. These two Legos clicked together and it’s those ones you can’t pry apart Even when you use your nails and teeth
