Prime example at 6:15, where Zain is about to say something about the Marth v Pika matchup, and Leffen cuts him off to say his 2 cents. Zain (the Marth expert) never gets to talking about it because Lef drags on so long and changes the topic. WTF!
Yeah I agree, they are a group so they should all have a chance to speak. In the same way when Mango asked Leffen specifically if Leffen thought anyone besides him or Zain would win. Leffen can open the floor more for his cohosts. I think he is trying and he's not solely focused on himself but this is something can be greatly improved so we can get more great insight from everyone.
I think Leffen feels a responsibility as the host to minimize dead air so he fills in. Last episode there was times where Mango and Zain were just quiet, although this epi everyone was heated lol
Yeah Leffen clearing dead air and also ensuring the stay on topic or transition effectively are important and he does a very good job at that. At the same time if his cohost have things to say he can let them vibe or ask them what they were going to say if he did interrupt. Oversll, this is hands down my favorite podcast, great to see insight from top players that love the game.
I'm really sad hax$ isn't playing in online tournaments since he was looking really good at genisis. That being said it's better than him entering and complaing about online, so if he knows he can't get in the headspace to play online I think it's the right decision
Hbox seems like he's dealing with some out of melee issues. When you watch the video of him in Slippi League his eyes are black as hell. He couldn't concentrate. And he was actually pretty strange. Who knows it could be severe lack of sleep causing all that those things but I am 100% sure he is not himself.
I think he's just making so much more money doing ultimate and it is much less stressful. But then again he left his stable job before for melee so idrk.
Homie hasn’t been able to play with US players in almost a year (outside of 3f buffer shit). Meanwhile, everyone else has been practicing non stop. That being said, leffen is excellent will be able catchup as soon as he is given the chance.
Armada is the pinnacle humble bragger 😂 Someone will bring up GOAT/BOAT and that man comes out of the woodwork everyyy time "Most consistent, I didn't lose outside the top 6 for 40 years, never place worse than 5th my whole career. I might be bias but it not close.."
He's quite insecure about it for some reason. Thing is, he's completely right and you're just a delusional schizo if you think Armada isn't undisputed GOAT (it isn't close).
@@il100374 Jordan actually has a strong argument for being the GOAT beyond popularizing basketball (stats/achievements) lmao. I've never heard this "hype = GOAT" argument in sports or games outside of some insane Lebron-haters claiming he killed basketball and, well, Mango cultists. For example in football Pelé was FIFA's poster boy for years and popularized the sport but absolutely nobody takes that into consideration when evaluating him as a GOAT candidate.
@@ididntknow273 They're not usually as full though. Have you seen an Asian with a beard as full as Zains? They're all rocking Fu manchus and long patchy chin hair lol
Love how mang0 keeps mentioning the full time streamer / competitor balance and how hbox might just not be cut out for that. I seem to remember mang0 going an entire year without a significant melee victory as he johned away over caring more about his stream. I’m sure hbox also just needs some time to adjust to gaining a similar balance. Mhm mhm
I never thought I'd see the day where I'd get hyped for hbox camping ibdw, but when hbox started playing like himself breifly in the money match I was genuninely excited. Hbox let me down :/
Armada has to the be GOAT, the way he left the scene was crazy, doing it with both peach and fox, then just starts speed running SM64... idk that seems kinda GOATish, him defending himself is just how prideful he is of his work ethic in my opinion, especially that he isnt American
A friend of mine said "E sports doesn't have locker room talk." I showed him this and explained who the people are. He just says "They're spilling more tea then we did at Boston harbor." (We're Americans)
Armada has always had a huge ego about his legacy lol. His ego is so big to the point where he had to argue with random teenagers on twitter to prove his goat status which is probably the least goat thing to do imo.
