So for in-text citations, it's as simple as writing in parenthesis the first bit of information that goes in your work cited page - usually the author name - then followed by a page number? i.e., (Mackean, 456). If you don't have the author name, do you just put whatever would go second in your work cited page? Like the name of the work? I.e., (Pope's Portrayal of Belinda in The Rape of the Lock, 456). What if you don't have a page number, because it's, say, a website? Would you just put (Mackean)?
