How Lich's Chain Frost Actually Works

As a Grandmaster Lich I noticed you missed a few points about the ultimate. Chain frost can bounced and do damage to untargetable units like Dark willow in shadow realm, but cannot bounce of Ringmaster's W. Every next bounce make additional damage. You can cast Chain frost to the Spire instaed of hero with lotus orb,AM-> E spell or hero with mirror shield( to avoid spell reflection). If you cast chain frost to the spire next to 2 heroes only 9 out of 10 bounces will bounce to te heroes and you will do less damage.

There's one more funny trick: Have Refresher Orb, Shard and lvl 25 infinite bounce talent + Frostbound facet (makes Chain Frost linger for a few seconds). Then, put down Ice Spire Nr.1 on top of your base ramp as enemies approach. Fire Chain Frost Nr.1 at the Ice Spire, then refresher orb and immediately place an Ice Spire Nr.2 next to the first, also fire second ult at it. The bounces stack damage very fast if the spires are close enough. Then, as enemies enter your base, the charged bounces unleash. This is very risky, as it requires the enemies to commit together with the creep wave or with multiple heros, so best to have someone bait.

I've recently been using him more. He trades well a lot of lanes, and just pairs SO well with most unranked line ups. Love a Lich as my support if I'm using Slark too.

please do a video on Dazzels E (shadow wave)...can't understand how it deals damage to the enemy.

Against Mars's facet Blood Sport interaction, if you cast it on an enemy beside the arena it goes through the wall, searches target and provides vision for a brief time.

You forget to talk aboutr Frostbound facet. There is a lot of things happen with that facet. 1 think is the debuff can be dispelled.

Justice for Lich with aegis

To be fair Lich could stumble upon an enemy team doing rosh and wipe everyone out with his ulti so that he is left to pick up Aegis.

Dark willow Shadow Realm counts as Invis when intracting with spells , but Lich ulty still bounce on it(this bug happen when they enable teamates casting spell on willow in her shadow!) same behavior dont exist for other bouncy spells like WD Q,(that thing dont jump on willow in shdaow for example)

As one of my fave supports, TBH I'd rather have the cooldown be decreased more than base damage. Bounce/projectile speed too.

Can you elaborate just a bit more about Sinister gaze? 1) Is it throw chain frost, then gaze right away? 2) Or gaze then throw chain frost?

nice video, was usefull - I did not know such nuances, it was just a 'bouncing ball'. Especially interesting moment with cast in time of gaze p.s: he is not 'Oleg' - it can be pronounced and stressed more like O'leg, with 'e' stressed)

it looked like CF didn't bounce off the willow during euls, z axis distance matters?

Can the verticality from Euls be enough to get you out of range of a bounce when you would otherwise still be just in range?

Does chain frost bounce faster at some close ditance? Noticed serveral times when enemies in less then 150-200 range to each other it bounces much faster like with a speed of light compare to default mode with slow bounce speed

who here remembers the old lich bug where you can place ice spire globally while channeling sinister gaze?

My first dota rampage was by walking to the enemy fountain and using chain frost. They all died from it

there was a time that lich was being played as carry. lol fun times

I building mid lich and it works (65% WR in 20 games on him)

Just as an aside, Chain frost can be combo-ed with Soulbind, causing it to be cast twice for quite a lot of damage and guaranteed bounces between the two targets
