i think we can appreciate gurph and fitz for trying their best to extract interesting information without going to the PED side of the story. Guys, forget it, the lads wont ask dr stephane about PEDs on china's national team, because he can't/won't talk publicly about it....but either way its fun to hear about other aspects of traininig and recovery, regardless.

Yes the PED discussion is tiring and boring at this point

Yeah there is no way he can talk about it, plus it's not that interesting unless you want to do PEDs or are just generally interested in them. There's so many interesting things we could ask him about the chinese team.

But dont all the atheletes use PEDs? Aren't PEDs invented/perfected in the US/soviet union back in the days and now everyone has to follow suit to keep up? Isnt that also why every US/Aussie swimmer has asthma so they can use a specific type of PED?

Speaking of range of motion, maybe Dr Mike Israetel would be a fun guest for the podcast, interesting guy

Obviously they can't talk about certain things, but it's interesting how basic (and applicable) all the other things they did like diet and maintaining mobility are. These are good practices for anyone moving up a weight class.

Yeh getting boring with that mate. Can you even achieve it if given what elite athletes take? I bet you wont because you are not hand pick at all 🤷‍♂️ plus you dont have the genetics. You are more or less just like 90% of population, weekend warrior.

I'm surprised that he was programmed more sets rather than increased intensity or frequency given the rapidly diminishing returns on hypertrophy
@Eipotttatsch
@Eipotttatsch 8 месяцев назад
I imagine the extra intensity just wouldn't be sustainable with the loads they are working with

You can add a bit more volume in without affecting recover too much but adding intensity on top would probably just lead to more injury

It always feels gross when people are put in the position to have to lie about something that is obvious. I hope that countries can get the f*ck over themselves and allow PEDs in sport.

yes because every person or athlete who has been on PEDS had and has the body and moniker of "giga chad" and achieved a 463 sinclair as a junior.

Lol. do you feel the same when “drug tested” ipf lifters claim they’ve NEVER used peds in their life yet aee squatting 900 plus pounds or the smaller ipf guys (mostly from America)are squatting 4 times their bodyweight… or do you single out Chinese lifters. Just enjoy their performances lol

I mean...what could it be?! How could someone put on that much lean muscle so quickly? WHAT COULD IT POSSIBLY BE? Oh, duh. It's just volume work. I'm such an idiot. For second there I thought it was PEDs.
