The Hubbard Marine Fish Hatchery raises juvenile sea bass and releases thousands each year into the ocean in order to replenish their numbers. They hope to apply the knowledge they’ve gained through this aquaculture process on land to the marine environment. The technique could increase locally sourced and healthy fish while avoiding possible impacts on freshwater resources.
