I had one of these when they first came out. The instructions said if you took good care of it, it would go back home in a spaceship. Ours always just died. No matter what.

I just went to double-check this tama because it does look like there's plastic on the screen in the video, but there isn't. It's just the way the bezel looks in the video. I do find the screens on the remake don't have very much contrast. Hopefully it does improve. 😕
You can, you can push the A and C button to reset and you will get a new Tamagotchi egg. Pushing the button on the back of the device will also reset it for you.

Ooh I believe they live longer if you keep their weight in check! I hardly feed my tamas snacks and I raise their happiness by playing games, it gets them exercise! :> I had a tama last 20 days on me
Wow, 20 days is great! You're right, the snacks can really do them in. I'm really bad at giving them snacks when I don't have much time to play the games with them. 🫠
Oh no 🙁. Hopefully it lived a while before it left. I know I had the bad-care Tama so I didn't expect it to live too long but it was still sad to see him go.
I don’t like tamagotchis my little sister got one and the screen was sooo hard to see we literally had to return never getting a tamagotchi again I am only getting a tamagotchi pix cause it’s easy to see
I understand, the remakes have a lighter contrast screen. I'm hoping the new Tamagotchi Connections will have better contrast. The Pix is a great Tama, it's really fun to play. 😊
