I shower almost every day but I skip a day here and there depending on what I do during the day. If I work and sweat all day then ya imma shower if It’s my day off and I’m just lounging around the house then I’ll skip the shower
meanwhile i can't do that because even if i laze around all day my armpits will smell like a skunks arse.. and yes i do use deodorant.. the amount of it i go trough every month is enough to make someone go wow
Litch The Shinigami If you use antiperspirant, then it’s making the issue worse, but if you’re using deodorant only with Zero antiperspirant, then it should help... Unless you just have extra sweaty armpits and they perspire constantly, deodorant only will still help. Daily Showers are still the best solution. 🤣
washing your hands(with hand soap) removes 90% to 99.9% from your hands so if the virus is on your hands your less likely to get in your lungs but this doesn't help as much if you wash your hands too much because overwashing your hands removes the beneficial bacteria that defend from illnesses including SARS-CoV-19
Well like he said, if you sweat a lot or do a dirty job then yeah, shower often but showering every other day won't make you reek. It's not like when 24 hrs hits you just get stink lines. It takes some sweating to do that. Don't feel so guilty. I'm here to find reasons to encourage my 64 year old father that he needs to shower because my daughter is sick all the time since we moved in. So yeah, no guilt, you're doing fine.
@@JamieNotLamie I saw another RU-vid video that said that people used to shower every other day. But soap companies started spreading propaganda about showering daily to sell soap. Now ppl shower daily
@@JamieNotLamie well i shower daily because i'm an over sweat kind of person.. even if i'm outside with clattering teeth because it's cold i will still sweat like an otter on drugs doing the hula. no matter how much deodorant i use under my armpits i WILL sweat.. my hands too though it's not as bad.. it's especially prevelent with certain types of surfaces, for example hard plastic and then the smooth kind you would see on a bus or the subway.. if i am in there and put my hands on there it will feel like i am a literal amfibian... as my hands will be soaking wet and even get wrinkled after time
@@2Slow2Gafyou dickhead,3 times per week is perfect(better than not showering at all) I myself as I am never up to much each day I do not need to Shower every day I myself I will Shower 3 days per week in Summer for 30 minutes and in the cooler months of the year I will Shower 2 days per week also for 30 minutes
I used to have to shower every day and was glad to do it. I was a regional/OTR semi driver for most of my career and even when I wasn't required to physically get involved with the loading and unloading the trailer it was still a job where I was exposed to quite a lot of dirt and grime. Furthermore, when you consider the small living space a driver has in an average truck, things get backed up and dirty relatively easily. For these reasons I made it part of my daily routine to shower at the truck stop where I parked for the night. Now that I am retired and do very little physical activity due to an injury and multiple resulting surgeries sustained on the job, I don't find it necessary to shower more than 2-3 times per week on average and up to 4-5 times p/wk during the summer months and generally warmer weather and how often I am not in an A/C'd room(s) at home.
As a trucker I’ve gone 10 days and normally go 2 to 3 days. My skin looks great. Lemon oil and tea oil on a wipe to the old pits and undercarriage no stink. Eating vegan and exercise also helps
i've actually heard another explanation about the allergy part.. it turns out people who were born and raised in the city have more chances of having allergies than people who live in more rural areas specifically around farms and animals.. apparently some of the particles that hang around there because of the soil being tilled and the animals makes it so people will have a bigger resistance.. also if you want to use less water just piss in the shower once or twice.. you save a flush everytime you shower
Same, I dont care what scientist say, I'm not gonna smell and feel like garbage. I cant last 3 days without showering before feeling like garbage and being itchy
wtf indeed. are they suggesting to not wash hands, like all the time ?! I tell my kids to wash their hands whenever they come in from outside, go to the bathroom, before they touch food, practically all the time. also, if you didn't wash you hands, i hope you like getting sick all the time especially if your a kid in school. big thumbs down to this stupid video that didn't actually answer its own question.
Me: I shower once every week....or twice if I’m dirty My mum: I shower every day My dad : I shower once every months or twice ..... maybe three if I’m going holiday
In the summer I shower daily. In the winter when less active every other day. And about the middle ages. The regular people used the river to wash.it was actually the royalties that smelled the worst
Prefer every day (once), however a present situation... three days a week, but use a spray deodorant so I don’t stink. I have experienced a person who on public train who stank so bad I nearly had to puke.
I shower every day but don't use any products. It takes some time for the natural oil on your skin to level out, maybe a week or 2, but after that you never need to use shampoo or bodywash. I was sceptical of it at first as I always thought I had particularly oily skin but it turns out that was just the result of using too much product. I used to use lip balm every day during the winter months; I don't need it at all now.
So, I shower at least 3 times per week but depending on how work goes it could be every day. And I wash my hair (dreadlocks, if you can't tell from my profile picture) with just water once per week, and with soap once per month.
So I started puberty when I was 10 (I’m 12 now turning 13 in a few days so can’t ban me youtube) and I put some chainmail on my whatsapp status that said “repost this if you shower everyday” Most people told me that they showered every 2 days and while that kind of weirded me out a little bit it wasn’t that much, until this girl admitted to me that she only showered every Wednesday and Sunday and that was the last time I ever spoke to her again. I avoided her the whole year and there’s no excuse aswell, she’s super rich and gets new perfume and Nike’s every month, so why can’t you just shower!
The whole idea of washing less and naturals oils building up is exactly that, an idea. It works for some people and for many it doesn't. The idea that washing is what's causing allergies also has no data proving it. We do however have data that shows that kids that grow up playing outside, in the dirt, and in the woods, have less allergies as adults.
@@kriszhun-cf6gg its not only me, trust me alot of people that dont shower everyday think they dont stink but they do.... better for everyone to just shower at least once a day.... especially if u r hairy
My mom forced me and my sisters to shower in the morning and night but on saturdays and sundays or days we don’t have school we don’t have to shower at night but we have to shower in the morning so I definitely showe wayyyyyy to much
1:04 Dwight what you doin here??? 2:19 *DWIGHT WHY YOU DABBING THATS OLD* 2:37 *DWIGHT TAKE A SHOWERRRRR* 2:47 *DWIGHT U SO SMELLY THAT KEVIN AND PHILLIS ARE RUNNING LOL*
You expect me to believe any of this when you have an "expert" hygienist that goes into the pond to wash off with dirt? Are you sure that's not just a hippie?
I have had one hot water "on the grid" shower since March 26th, 2018, that's it, once. Room temperature water hauled, the rest of the time. Because of student loan debt, cost of living, shitty minimum wage etc, I bought a $15,000 house in the country, with a low interest cash advance from a credit card, with no water/septic. You don't need to wash NEARLY as much as people think. I've been living with no running water or septic for 2 years almost now. I haul about 120-160 litres of water every 10 days from a local free drilled well. I have a bathtub and a camp shower bag with low flow spout, but don't use them very often honestly. It's difficult to haul enough water to have full blown showers ALL the time. So I often just wash key areas when I get really dirty. If you wipe down key areas when sweaty etc, you're okay. Give yourself a good scrub here and there. I have the shower bag and spray bottles, a laundry sink, my tub. I've got a kitchen sink that drains out under my yard, and the tub has a basin under to catch waste water from the shower which I dump down the drain. As for laundry, I bought about 80 pairs of socks, and dozens of boxers, and own around 100 shirts etc. I go to town every couple months to do laundry at a laundromat. lol I've had no issues in 2 years. I use hand sanitizer, because hand cleanliness is important for prevention of the spread of germs. I shave my hair off regularly. I've got no acne. No infections. Don't stink. It's all about balance. Wash enough that you aren't gross, don't stink, and are maintaining reasonable hygiene. And yes, I may not have water, and I may use a plastic portable outhouse (with hole dug into the ground and the bottom cut out), BUT I do have power and internet. My bills are much lower, and I have more free time than I ever had working 55-80 hour work weeks in the city just to pay the bills. Still hugely in debt, but my general bills are significantly reduced and I get to live in a big 8 room house all alone. The house is in remarkably good condition too!
Not sure how I feel about this.... Admittedly I don't shower as often as most do and this video pushes. It's been many years of my "routine" due to my personal feelings that I have yet to get past. I am not alone either.
You can tell when you need a shower. You feel a coat of dirt and itchy skin and odor, etc. You should do everything as often as necessary, not on a fixed schedule JUST for the sake of a schedule.
My older brother hasn't showered in years. Hasn't brushed his teeth in about a decade, maybe longer. He was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis last year. He spends every day playing video games and watching anime, and earns no money whatsoever, despite having a disabled younger brother we both need to take care of. He'll be the reason I have a stroke or heart attack from being PO'd every single day.
Well I can tell you about the not brushing my teeth. It's gross, but I don't let other peoples words hurt me. It's been about 8 months since I last TOUCHED a toothbrush, and that was only to clean my earring(toothbrush was brand new. what kind of guy do you think I am? lol) but I have only 6 remaining teeth in my mouth and quite honestly, I'm ashamed of it. I'm freakin 30 and have 6 out of 32 teeth left. To anyone who is considering that way of life and not brushing your teeth, take it from me. You WILL regret that decision. I promise. DONT PUT YOURSELF THERE ITS NOT WHERE YOU WANT TO BE. It's awful, embarrassing, and over time, it WILL cause discomfort. My bite has collapsed and that's no fun. It's very painful. It feels like lockjaw, with the exception of I can move my lower jaw regularly, although it hurts like a sonofabitch
@Good Puss 3000. If that was meant to be rude or anything like that, trust me, you can't get me down any farther than I have already been. I've given up. No use trying to make me feel worse. You will forever be wasting your time and mine(for having to sit here and read the ridicule)
please shower everyday or at least every two days because i haven’t showered in 4 days and i already smell nasty (i always shower everyday) if your skin gets dry put lotion on don’t be smellin musty
i shower everyday.. then again i have to.. i'm always sweating.. even if it's cold i will build up sweat.. (though it's even worse when i were to let's say work out.. then my entire body drips to a point where it'll literallly look like i have been standing in the rain for too long.. only i didn't and it's actually my own sweat) so yeah showering daily is a must for me otherwise i will gas everyone with my armpits despite using 10 tons of deodorant
Who else is a shower addict? I love showering, but I wish my grandmother would let me shower every night even when I'm not doing anything... Because of course i can stink every two days if I don't shower Most of all, I love taking showers because I want to smell better and feel better, anyone right?
I live in a hot climate & when I was working I used to cold shower 3 times a day... I think that it's perfectly normal to shower twice a day- once when you wake up to get ready for the day, and once before bed so you keep your sheets clean & wash off the sweat of the day. I also try to time my shower for after I use the toilet so I can wash myself properly afterwards. I also always shower after swimming to get the chemical smell off my skin & out of my hair. The longest I've gone without a shower was probably ten days. I started to get a sweat rash on my butt cheeks & my groin and crusty gunge behind my ears. I felt horrible. When I finally showered, the soap felt like it was burning my skin. No better feeling than having a nice shower and shave, then putting on fresh clean clothes, or getting into a bed with clean sheets.
What a load of misinformed BS. First...showering every day washes all the natural oils from your skin, as you get older your skin will become leathery and aged. If you have been sweaty or working in dirt/dust...it is sensible to wash it off to prevent blocked pores and spots. If you have done nothing....you don’t need to wash. How long you can get away with not smelling depends mostly upon frequent clothes changes. Dead skin cells naturally slough off with abrasion from apparel. 90% of house dust is actually human skin. If a partner or friend indicates they can smell you...it’s probably good to wash. However, you do not need to make a point of washing just to please the virtuous and self righteous who believe not washing constantly is some kind of unholy sin.
How come not brushing your teeth can become fatal, even though our ancestors never did but still had teeth? Also, I always thought the more you brush, the more reliant your teeth become on brushing.
I have lifelong severe depression and am only able to get myself to shower around 10 times a year so I've showered less in my entire life than most people do in a year.
I have not brushed my teeth for 6 years but then also my teeth are shining with no smell and arranged perfectly but I have started brushing my teeth from 2 months
8:00 i had gum disease when i was like 8 for sticking my finger in my mouth while its like dirty and. Stuff and it the worst because my gums got all swolen and it hurt to bite or eat i couldnt even close my mouth all the or else it would feel like something stabbing my gums or my teeth i could hardly brush my teeth with my normal tooth brush so the dentist gave me a very soft bristled one and he also gave me medication to help the swelling ang pain and the disease in general go away one was like orange i think and the other i dont remember after i took the medicines i couldnt eat for 30mintutes to an hour and even when i could eat i could only eat mashed potatoes maybe oatmeal all day everyday until it went away and it took like a week or 2 or 3 i could hardly even go to school because of how many dentist appointments i had to leave early and take and abt how teachers kept on and i mean repeatedly (however its spelled) sending me to the clinic because " I wasnt eating" or " i may be sick" and " your friends are telling me your not feeling well your not eating lunch" but i was 8 and it was hard to explain how i wasnt able to eat and when i told them they'd look disgusted or send me home or to the clinic then soon after i starting being able to close my mouth without the numbing medicine and been able to talk without it hurting and for now on i brush my teeth 3 times and i NEVER put my fingers in my mouth EVER again
