I like to use a rolling pin to smooth out my spray basted quilts. Works great. Yours is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

I never thought to use my folding table for doing the quilt sandwich! Thank you for the tip! Also, I saw you folded the quilt to measure the amount of batting needed. That eliminates opening up the batting while it’s on the roll. Another great tip! Thank you, Beth. And your quilt is lovely.

I agree. I just needed to find out that I can lower the pressure of the sewing foot, since then finishing quilts is easy.

Wow, loving the prolific amount of striped fabrics in this quilt. I really can't recall seeing one with this many before. What a wonderful vibe they add let alone charm and playfulness. Beautiful! I bind the same way you did! But my shoulders were aching while watching you quilt! That was a large quilt to quilt on your machine. I think I would have to opt for straight line quilting! Bless you!

I use my floor like you do to cut batting LOL. Also, I do all my own free motion quilting on home sewing machine. The only thing I do different from you is I don't cut off the batting and backing until after I sew on the binding to the front of the quilt. Then I generally hand stitch the binding onto the back of the quilt. But many times I want to save time and do the last step on the machine. I love your projects...they are so lovingly thought out.

Cute, cute, cute! I would call it the Happy Christmas quilt, as I learned in my travels that's what the English say during the Christmas season. I make about 30 quilts a year (Quilts for Kids and Quilts of Valor) and I'm always on the lookout for sales on Hobbs 80/20 batting. I saw that you use a huge roll of batting, which was an Aha! moment for me. Where do you buy it? By the way, you crack me up, walking all over your batting barefoot, as I shiver with the snow in Colorado. How old is your daughter, asks the nosy Nanna. Thanks!

I am so loving this Christmas quilt. It’s Christmas without screaming Christmas. The variety of different fabrics that you combined in there is just awesome. I’m gonna have to study at a little bit. See if I can duplicate it if that’s OK. Project for next year though. Thank you for sharing this.

Can we all just quit our jobs and watch Beth quilt ??? So lovely....why do you make quilting look so easy....It takes me hours and hours....I guess it would help me if I had a machine that fit inside a table instead of on top.....That will be a project I'll work on soon....For now I get to see Beth!!!

I think that her husband is is familiar with woodworking and she had him cut a hole in the top of a desk that had a drawer in the center that would accommodate the depth of the sewing machine and make supports to keep the machine at the correct level with the top. Maybe you could find someone who would be able to do that for you too! I'm hoping that this can happen for you soon! ☺️

Beth I know what you mean about how long does it take to finish a quilt. I followed you when you made the Christmas sampler quilt which was a couple of years ago and have just added the borders. Mine is made with shades of purple. It end up being a good size queen so will be sending it off to the longarmer. Enjoyed making it and loved sewing along with you.

This is a very pretty quilt. I have a hard time with machine quilting. I learned to NOT try and get it done in one day. My back and arms will hurt badly when I try to rush through the process. When I rush, I usually end up having to pick it all apart and start over.

I'm amazed at how well the spray worked holding it together while you quilted it. Also, great job sandwiching it together without puckers and lumps. It's a cute and easy looking pattern with a wide variety of Christmas fabrics. Super job.

Hi.. what a beautiful quilt, just wondering what is the name of the spray adhesive you used? Also wondering if you freestyle the quilting stitching or is it a setting on your machine.. Always loved the idea of quilting but haven’t actually made one yet, I’ve been looking at you tube tutorials like yours for inspiration and you definitely don’t disappoint.. thank you for taking the time to inspire!

I use 505 spray. I move the quilt to achieve the quilting design. Free motion 👍

So the sewing machine you quilted this on is just a regular sewing machine? Wow, I have 20 quilt tops in my closet. I need to do this. I have a singer sewing machine, a folding table and you have inspired me to do this!

I used my juki machine. The throat area is a little bigger than the typical machine but I have machine quilted on my singer as well. Happy sewing!
