@@Gardenary thank you I'm in Bartlett just 3 hrs away and i've already cleaned out and waiting to plant for summer....I'm very excited to try your method. Lavender, zinna's (short) nasturtium, rosemary, well lets just say all the herbs. 🥰

The Studio McGee plans have cute graphics, but no dimensions, not really a plan. Not worth the download space.

For a beginner, should I plant seeds or growing from a seedling individually?

Does it have a particular reason, why you plant the *brussel sprouts* next to the peas/trellis and/but the *cauliflower* on the side of the bed and not the other way round? (Genuine question.)

I don't think there was one particular reason

First year gardener here. I planted broccoli and cauliflower but they have stopped growing. My spinach botled and all the seeds I planted have sprouts but don't seem to be growing. :( It's a little frustrating. But, maybe next year I'll have better luck.

It could be either your soil needs some amending or you're a little late in your season to plant those things

Hi Willow…sounds like you’re willing to learn and keep trying! You selected some plants that can be challenging. Do you have a source of local advice? If not ask around … we have a master gardener clubs in my area. Finding the specific variety of plant that works in your area or selecting something different may help. For example a kale variety might work better. Or For example, nasturtiums …a beautiful, edible flower flourishes where other plants will fail. Lambs Quarter is known as a weed …but is commonly used in India and is cooked as spinach. In Hindi it’s “Bathua” or “Bathuwa”. No one has a green thumb …you can learn to create optimal conditions for the right plants for your garden and lifestyle. Personally, I find herbs much easier and I add them to food or use them in drinks. I dry herbs in brown paper bags when it’s really hot and dry , then grind them for use in soups, or dressings. Just fill the bag loosely about halfway…fold the top down, staple it shut and give it a shake now and then. My garage is really hot and dry so it works great. When dry, the leaves will strip and crumble off the stems easily. They’ll blend into a powder really fast. I add a lot of flavor and micro nutrients from my own herbs. Hang in there … you’ll find what works!

It’s a flower

@@EdimentalGardens Yes, she said that. I meant what flower. It is no species name and since it's rather not a common name internationally (like the words for kale, parsley, raddish etc.) I didn't know it and it even wasn't in Leo/translation app. But I looked it up otherwise later though. Thank you. :)♡
