How long does it take you to mix and master a Dubstep track? Thank you for the video!

It depends on the stem count. Most dubstep tracks are of a low stem count, so the entire process to mix and master would be between 1 to 3 hours.

@paulnationmusic not noticeably longer. You will find more time needs to be spent on limiting with genres that require to be louder than others.

Do you give feedback to your clients if a mix is bad and where to improve?

All clients can submit their song for a mix evaluation via our mix evaluation submission form. This is available to all clients. Many do not want it which is why they have the option to opt in. What this means is that we don't have to factor this into every order which would ultimately drive up the price. As time is money.

Imagine how helpful that would be to everyone, even high end professionals. I'd have to change my approach somewhat as certain things I wouldn't want to teach the competition.

@@AudioAnimalsStudio but that's the same approach you criticized in the video on why do analog gear users tell you to don't get into hardware so they having the hardware can get better or unique results over guys all ITB.

@roninthegoat2810 when you spend 20 years crafting a sound that is unique to you. Certain approaches you don't teach others on RU-vid. What I talk about in that video is that often certain engineers will advise against buying into the analogue sound because they want the competition to stuck at only ever being able to achieve a digital sound that is inferior to theirs. This is totally different to teaching the competition how to obtain your unique sound if they own your mastering chain. Big difference.

@@AudioAnimalsStudio but they would still have to buy the exact chain you have to get the exact same sound even if you filmed a master from start to finish with all settings and most people wouldn’t spend 85k like it’s nothing just to copy you and they’d also need your skill level since they can copy your settings but every song is different so they won’t get very far as a copy cat. Anyway, just my two cents, do your thing nonetheless, got some useful information out of your videos, so thank you for that!

@roninthegoat2810 No, I'm not here to teach other engineers how to get my sound. Certain things you just don't teach. I'm sure you can understand that.
