Thank you for this I work at a shop and I’m always getting teased of how slow I am but that’s exactly what I think to Because all those clients keep coming back to me
Thanks bro I’ve been waiting for videos like this 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 I’m a new barber and not making much yet but would rather be a barber that takes longer appointments. I feel like it’s more relaxing and the quality of the cut is much better plus money will come eventually and that’s fine with me 😎 100k!!!
Very good video , I’m currently training my daughter to be a barber and have searched RU-vid for some key people to follow for training, your up there definitely.. i am fortunate enough to take my time and charge well but I’ve been doing it for years and had to work in sweat shop environments over the years being pushed to get to where I am now
Very well said! I definitely look forward to truly finding what type of Barber I want to be! Currently in school and we start cutting on Monday! Thank you for your perspective!
That’s great man and good luck with everything. You will become the type of barber you need to be depending on the goals you have. We become what we think about
Thanks for the tip I generally take about 35 45 min. I talked to a friend of mine and she said 15 min tops I was like really I wonder how her cuts look. But yes your right quality over quantity is what I like .
Wow, this is Soooooo on point! When I worked for the "chain barberlike" shop, it was all about the numbers and very little else. I started to work for quality and not quantity and was told to speed up. I'm glad I did this type of training, cuz the experience allowed me repetition in cutting and giving quality customer service; in short, this time spent was a stepping stone for my move to a great barber shop(with less cuts for far more pay) and the relationships I'd built followed me. Terrific video, sorry about your moist commune with nature😉
Thank you for sharing. I usually recommend barbers/stylist coming out of school to go work at a chain salon. You will get experience faster since the volume of clients it’s crazy and you only get limited time to do each cut. Thanks for sharing I’m sure your comment is gonna help many. Btw, that park might be my new filming spot 😃
I'm having that problem at work right now. It takes me about 45 mins to do a fade, on average. Sometimes, I'm in a zone and will get things done in 30-35. I feel like going fast requires me to cut corners: Corners like, the amount of effort I put into the blend. If I'm doing some quick fade transitioning, it looks like a Supercuts fade: For example, Half, 1 Guard, 1 1/2 And open up to a 2. But if I take my time, I get to hit those measurements in between, to get that blurry fade....but that takes time and I get shit over my time spent on people. But even with clients, that's my name on that, so I feel like if you're going to get a cut from me, you just gotta deal with that shit.
I believe a good fade will take 35 -45. Mines take that long . That’s a skin fade. Regular fades be taking me like 30 -35. I end up doing like 13 cuts where as my coworkers end up w 15-19 cuts. But mines have my signature
