People in the English-speaking world have no idea how many laps you have an advantage in everything (including graphic design). 99% of all tutorials, books, textbooks, websites, resources, including the programs we work with, are in your native language. Imagine that all the tutorials, books, and programs were in Russian, or in French, or some other language. You would have to learn the language first to understand the books, tutorials and everything else.
True, but think of it this way. At the same time you are learning two skills: a new language AND graphic design :) if it was all in your native language, you’d only know the graphic design. But at least now you have the added skill of English too. It’s extra effort but it is always worth it 👍🏼
Not only for Russian, French people problem. Every other country with non English native language. Indian subcontinent, Asian countries. No space for errors my friend. We need to step up our game in every situation for our own growth as compared to English speaking nation. Want to get a job - Need English to work in MNCs..... No one can deny it however with hard work everything is achievable.

This is an incredible and appropriate answer for me. But one that I want to know is that can we become graphic designer without learning drawing or drawing is an essential part in order to become a graphic designer
Gareth thank you for all your work you put in. Your videos teach me and my hubby all about illustrator and basically gave us our job lol (: but why you don’t do anything about premier? i feel like i’m cheating you when i learn it from someone else haha seriously tho i prefer to learn it from you. please consider this ✌🏻 thanks again for everything
Hey. I love your channel. A really good resource for the theories and methods of design. I'm a Motion Graphic designer and want to learn more about the fundamentals. I have seen your videos on "Visual elements" and "Design Principles" and I want to learn more about it. I have the book "principles of form" and design by Wucius Wong. Its nice for the visual elements but don't have too much on design principles. Can you recommend any books or resources on these topics?
I work in digital marketing, mostly with publishing website images and digital signage. In other words, I post what our graphic artists produce. Most are great but some are less so. Most of our criticisms of their work product is centered around not providing us the proper format (CMYK instead of sRGB color spaces or the video codecs they use for video renderings).and image dimensions. We have legacy equipment that has specific upload requirements. We provide them with spec sheets but they don’t seem to read them. Thankfully I have the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, and After Effects), so I can correct digitalis before publishing. So bottom line, where would I sit in this job description maze? Am I graphic designer or a graphic technician?
This comment is amazing! I will work on being a good designer that provides clients with the proper format. It's easy to forget about logistics when you're in the depths of a projects. But professionals really should do better.
Eye-opening information about graphic design.... really u r awesome...... kindly guide me.... from where I can start learning from online and what is the first step .... which affordable desktop or laptop computer is must for this basics graphic design course.....
Hello Gareth, really love your artistry. Awesome. What software do you use to create your videos; text animations, comics, shapes transitions and all that 🙏
Thank you. I compose all visual elements in Photoshop & Illustrator. Then I bring it all into After Effects to compose the presentation and apply transitions.
Gareth David Studio Waow! Incredible. Thank you. Can illustrator elements be imported into DaVinci Resolve? Using their fusion page effects for transitions and all?
Hi Gareth, I am glad you made it through the year 2020 with all its global challenges including the COVID-19 pandemic. I love this video and the simplicity with which you took your time to explain in plain terms, 'How long it takes to become a Graphic Designer' I am so grateful to among your fans. Your videos are absolutely brilliant and I enjoy watching them. May God Almighty bless you more for sharing your knowledge with us. 🙏 Please can you do a detailed video on motion graphics with Adobe After Effects and Video Editing with Adobe Premiere Pro? Please Stay Safe and remain blessed, for I can't wait to see these video tutorials. 👍🏻
Can i learn in 3 months ? I have spent past 2 months learning adobe ps and also learning graphic design theory .. i still dont feel that confident so can i learn in another 3 months and be able to get a job....?
I have question, does graphic design need math, and if yes then it is simple like just simple accounts can be counted in calculator, or it's Complex? the math we take in school do we use it in graphic design or no, i wish if you reply, Thank you.
Incredible the amount of detail missing in this video, of course you cant cover everything. You missed a fundamental question 'what is your specialism'? Even more incredible how people lack basic critical thinking skills. (I taught essay writing before becoming a gd)
