Dear friends, please note that I am not the author of this video, it is a mirror from @NathanH83 channel, and he is the author of this video. www.youtube.com/@NathanH83
Brilliant, I was stuck on something because what I was writing wouldn't work if they had been in Egypt 430 years, now I'm moving forward again... thank you so much!
It's actually even less than 71 years Joseph was in power, he lived in potiphers house for a time and spent atleast 2 years in prison before coming to power
My theory is that when the bible was written, using the term "400 years" was like when we say as a joke something lasts "1000" years when it takes too long to happen or someone is taking too long to do something, I think the "400 years" shouldn't be interpreted literally but as "we've been slaves for such a long time it almost feels like 400 years" but they had actually been in slavery for a few decades
We Ivrit [Hebrews] were in Mitzriam for 210 years it's in Our Ancient Hebrew Sages writings, Our Torah of Rabeinu Moshe/Master Kabbalist Teacher Moses.
I'd also recommend the Brenton translation. Since I prefer hardcopy literature, I just looked around and found a good copy on eBay or Abe Books (I forget which). My copy has both the English and Hebrew and ran about 30 bucks. I think a copy of the Septuagint should reside on every student of scripture's bookshelf since, for no other reason, most modern expositors refer to it so often.
josephus himself present a contradictory testimony in that subject , in book 2 of ant.of . jews he wrote that sons of israel spent in egypt 400 years , also dead sea scrolls in exodus 12 : 41 said that 430 year in Egypt only
1619-2019, 400 proven by the HR Bill 1242. You contradicted Joseph's rule! My forefathers was not mistreated or enslaved in the land during Joseph's living or his rule.
Genesis 15:13 When the 400 years began, because Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Joseph were not treated cruelly from to Egypt's (Jacob was 130 years old, when he came to Egypt with his family)?
God didn't mean 400 counting start from affliction in foreign land. God meant that it would be 400 years total from now to last days of affliction of slavery. Paraphrase is noted in genesis 15:13.
Every dispute I ever have with others is based on science or some evidence that I know is somehow flawed. God sends me the possible answers in little bits and revelations like this video. Very interesting. Thank you
Hi Nathan, Thank you firstly, for the video and your time spend studying the Scriptures. You bring up some compelling considerations. One aspect I believe you have not addressed, is the actual full wording in Exodus 12:40. I believe the issue is people have focused on the phrase "who dwelt in Egypt" vs "who dwelt in the land of Canaan and the land of Egypt": Whereas the focus should be on the sojourning it was a 'seating' or a waiting for the promise of having their own land. But if we are going to focus so greatly on whether "the land of Canaan" is missing from the Masoretic text, then let's take into account Exodus 12:40 stating "the children of Israel" rather than "the children of Abraham". May the Lord give us all revelation. Shalom
Great video - BUT.. Mt Sinah was not in Midian. At that time it was still inside Egypt. Check the ancient maps that haven't been corrupted yet. The initial instruction to Moses was to bring HIS people OUT of Egypt and BACK to Mt Horeb, which is about 200 miles NE of where everyone believes Sinah is today. So, by these stories, Moses, a former military man, totally disregards the orders of GOD, and never takes anyone OUT of Egypt, but goes to Sinah instead of back to Horeb. Hmmmm...... I learned all that from Dr. S. Asher, a renowned Hebrew scholar who tells the truth, not the story. And he also shows how they were not in Egypt for 400 or 430 yrs. But closer to 225 or so.
Great video and discussion. If the Israelites were not afflicted in Egypt for 400 years does that not lend credence to the argument that Genesis 15:13-14 is more accurately fulfilled in the 1619-2019 period in America where African American negro people have been enslaved and afflicted for 400 years starting in Jamestown Virginia. God is not the author of confusion. While it could be argued that Issac being taunted by Ishmael was affliction, it seems more accurate to compare the occupation of black negro people in America as a consistent period of affliction and slavery for the population as a whole. Given world events starting in 2019 with the pandemic, could it not be clearly demonstrated that the rise of BLM, Hebrew Israelite movement, the pandemic, economic strife and looming world war are signs of judgement that show that Genesis 15:13-14 is speaking more directly to the Trans-Atlantic Slave trade and the United States occupation of black people? Could we very well see a mass exit of the United States by Black people taking wealth in the form of reparations? Thoughts? Interesting times. The video was well detailed and has followed the logic I have gathered when reading Paul's explanation of the 430 years. Our God is very exact and when you read Deuteronomy 28 the curses explained as a sign that will follow Israel from them hanging from trees, children taken into slavery, wives taken by another man and going into bondage by ships while being oppressed by an eagle nation are too detailed to be coincidence. The book of Revelation speaks of two witnesses that will emerge in the end times lead by the Holy Spirit's fire. We are seeing these witnesses in the awoken Church leaving the mainstream Christian church and the awakening of Hebrew Israel and their need for salvation through Christ Jesus. This understanding will help us better comprehend Jesus's olivet discourse and additional prophecy about the end times. The ignorance of these facts leave us vulnerable to an antichrist deception, where a false Christ appears from false perceptions . God's people perish for a lack of knowledge. Thank you for taking the time to share this truth. The truth sets free. Any thoughts?
They're still there, and even after their so-called great exodus, (and murdering Egyptian babies as well steeling from' them blind) they kept coming back..
At 55 seconds of this video you mention that 66 persons went to Egypt but in your following video you state they were 75 persons based on various sources. You should correct this error in this video. Just put a disclaimer for the sake of accuracy.
@jrodriguezq Please read verses 26 AND 27 again. 66 persons went FROM CANAAN INTO Egypt, and Joseph's sons, who were ALREADY IN Egypt, were added to the 66, which SHOULD make the total 68, but the verse says the total was 70. (Perhaps the extra 2 were a daughter and wife? Unsure.) That's closer to the 75, but I'm not sure why it's different from the 75. I feel sure Nathan could explain that too.😉😊
Enjoyed very much this video and your follow up. Great job. But wasn't the Bible compiled finally around 400 A.D.? So it could not have referenced the Masuredic translation written in 1100 A D. Please clarify.
Good Morning Nathan. Thank you for the excellent research and well presented submissions. My question is... what of Genesis 15:13? "And it was said to Abram, Thou shalt surely know that thy seed shall be a sojourner in a land not their won, and they shall enslave them, and afflict them, and humble them four hundred years. And the nation whomsoever they shall serve I will judge; and after this, they shall come forth hither with much property." - This is from my online Septuagint. Perhaps an older version has a different number. I'd like to make contact with you to share my research.... thanks again.
Wrong. Wrong context. Follow your principle in coming up with the time of the Great Flood and use the original text to know what the verses meant. 430 years is most accurate, as the whole Bible does.
