Man that amp and 500 dollars would be an excellent start to a well rounded bass build. That's respectable. Lets help this guy out by getting those numbers up so one of us could be helped out in the bass community.
@@ParkerTheBasshead something to consider. Pyle power subs. 4, 15's in a wall facing the windshield, port in the middle. 60$ a sub on Amazon. In that truck, for 240$. 150+spl easy
I love these real world tests. People argue about what "should" happen if you try these things but this ends all the arguments and just gives results. Good stuff. That CT Sounds amp looks nice as well. Someone is going to be happy.
I absolutely love these budget builds. My wife wanted some bass again after Years of not having any. I bought her six brand new, new old stock MTX 4500 series 10's that are single .75 ohm, that were used in Thunderforms, right as covid hit. Wired them all in series for a 1 ohm load. She was so happy hahaha. Then was laid off and we had to sell her Stetsom sub amp, and and 1 of her XsPower batteries. Other than her subs, i did some trading on sub parts and motors to get her amps, wiring and so forth. I love building on a budget. Was pretty dang loud for what it. I cannot wait to get her going again lol. She has watched both of these videos and is on me to get her playing again. Keep it coming Parker, always love watching your videos brotha!!!
@@christianfoster7609 I've had walled vehicles from as far back as 1993 lol, when I was younger lol. She liked them.. kinda, but just hated me always building subs for people haha. Then I did her Yaris, with two 15's flat wall. She was hooked. Her six 10's was super budget build, as dude on ebay sells those subs in sets of 3 for about 90 shipped. Bought two sets of them. They're great SQ subs and got loud lol. Yeah she wanted some bass back haha.
@@Chuck_Sanders like not gonna lie was my first system ever had it in a 1997 nissan hard body d21 extended long bed short cab man i miss that truck more than i do the system tbh
I just bought this speaker a week ago because I blew my 12" Infinity kappa 120.9Watt.. I have to say this Power Acoustic is a much better sub . Also signaling a Power Aquistik 2500D Walmart amp. I'm happy
I have this amp and these subs and a similar box. In my Mini 2 12's have some punchy bass. I have had them over a year in my daily driver. No problems just Bumps.
I love seeing budget builds. Sometimes a budget build can do just as well as some of the expensive brand names. But. If one of those expensive amps or subs came my way I wouldn't complain😉 keep it up parker!
You and Parker. 1 Sub, 2 sub, 3 subs? Parker might be doing 4 12`s next. I dare you to follow suit?!?! Can 4 18s fit in D's sequoia? Ty for throwing some sub tests in the mix.
u should try the bamf 12s i have 2 and they sound amazing running off a taramps 3k with 0 gauge wires all around and 8 gauge wires for the speaker wires
I bought two of these for my kid when he got his first truck a few years.put them in a bandpass box and they were crazy loud. Same amps just enclosed box..
For a budget amp, get the ds18 gfx-3k1 which retails for 160 refurbished by ds18 on eBay, it puts out 3k at 1 ohm, 2k at 2 ohms and 1k at 4ohms I bought one from ebay and I couldn't see any signs of use, looked practically new.
Found your channel like 20 minutes ago and just subbed cause I was looking for a good sub or sound system for my truck since i just got my first truck and your channel is a lot of help
I like how you think. I would like to see some bandpass, walls or a horned loaded enclosure. That would be interesting how loud and cheap one could build those types of systems.
Its nice having humble beginnings, I think it adds appreciation later on. I remember almost 30 years ago buying an "Optimus" 18" from the local Radio Shack and making a tiny homemade box with a random sized port in it. I thought I was pretty hot stuff at the time.
I will forever respect those jensen mono block amp. I thought those were super bad but I bought one and it was by far the best amp I have ever had since I’m just getting into bass
I had a system back in 2004 that I purchased at a shady car stereo place. Read an Ad that said "BASS SOUND SYSTEM COMPLETE $500. Years later I realized how screwed they got me. Just junk and they preyed on me. This amp would really help me get back into car audio. My son's disability means mom stays home and I am the bread winner. But hey life's pretty darn good👍
Thanks 👍 I toll all my bassheads about this channel just to show what I been talking about and to help you out 💙💙💙💙💙 505 Navajo nation reservation New Mexico suuupp!!!
I like the series bro good job. Hay bud SHCA has Bobby Gately Flat Pack 2-12s enclosures for $372 it is what I run in my wife's daily, you will have a Berch box with the right port area, tuning and air space and all you have to do is sand router and stain before assembling, don't over glue and you will have a box that sounds as good as it looks.
I have a rzr2500 amp with one gothic 12 in self built vented box. I'm very pleased for the price. I'm all about budget builds, keep em coming brother.... Basshead 4 Life!!
I started out with 1 Power Acoustic in a 12-inch Walmart sealed fold a box. Went to 2 in a pro-fab, then 4 in a custom box. Sold the subs kept the box, still in my garage. Now I have 2 Sundown U-18s on an Orion HCCA 3000dsplx. Next, I hope to get 2 Incriminator Audio Judges or 2 Sundown 24's. Those little Power Acoustic amps do hold up to 1 ohm even though they are only rated at 2 ohm.
I love channels that give back to their subscribers. Its amazing that you do this on your channel and I know someone will be happy to receive it. With the cash too they really have no excuse about not wiring it up proper either. Thanks and keep up the great work and content.
Hell yes build a custom box!!! Build a separated box internally and then you can run 1,2,3, or 4 at once!!! Only a few bolts to just remove the rear seat, alot easier to design and build and also easier to bolt it to the vehicle.....safety first ALWAYS fasten down enclosures the BEST you can, they will kill you if left free to fly in an accident. I just subscribed YOU ARE THE MAN BRO!!! I been going back watching all of your videos keep up the fantastic work!!!!!!
Parker been with you for a fat minute now!!! I need that amp & money to start a new build on my truck since my last got stolen 🥴🤦🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️ pleaseeee 🤘🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
A guy that i work with actually has that exact setup. Skar ported box with 2 12 in power acoustik subs and the PA amp. It actually slaps pretty good in his truck.
I did 134.8 dB at 35Hz, a 131.3 at 40Hz, 128.5 at 45Hz during some testing with one(1) of these subwoofers today. I ended up smoking the subwoofer after doing a ton of test tones. Did 124 dB at 20Hz, 123.7 dB at 25Hz, 129.4 dB at 30Hz. Also did 124.3 dB at 80Hz. More improvements to come once I get another subwoofer unless I just switch to a better sub. Probably shouldn't have been smashing test tones so long
Bridge them down to 1 ohm both and they’ll pound like crazy, I had one in my cobalt bridged to 1 ohm and it made all my windows and door rattle their crazy
I am running 2 of those subs with each it's own matching razor rzr1-2500d amps for now just in a dual chamber 3.2ft³sealed box. They hit pretty decent. For the price I decided to get 2 more subs and 2 more of those amps. So next project is a 10ft³ ported enclosure for all 4. Not sure on design yet but hopefully I get it right lol. The 3.3ft³ box takes up a decent amount of cargo room so a box 3x that will be massive
I just want to say thanks Parker for all you do for the fellow bass head community , you rock buddy I truly feel blessed and greatful to be able to see your content , God bless 🙏
No mention if this is a mono amp, or dual channel bridged to lower resistance when subs in parallel, and amp bridged to make it 1ohm. To deal with heat and avoid clipping, liquid cool amp with copper tube thru heatsinks and cheap cooling loop to external radiator. These are all things we did in the 80s and 90s due to low quality/ powered products. Many ways to increase performance.
After I watched the first video of this series I decided to get me the same amp. And I hooked it up with two 12s mtx terminator. Ngl it sounds pretty good 👍🏽
Bah, I didn’t know the backs of our back seats pop off like that. I removed my bottom rear seats and that alone added good space, especially for the pup. I need to deaden that back wall. Great vid, wow what a difference w another sub. 👍🏻
@@murrayshekelberg9754 yes it does but that’ll be good question to research are jp amp reliable I had a amp in 2012 off Craigslist when I say it never turned off or gave me problems I wish I can go back old school amps
Totally unrelated, but you should do an amp comparison video. You know how there are some “Korean” amps which retail for say double the price of Chinese amps, but you get double the watts out of Chinese amps. I haven’t seen many videos with that, I’m speaking mainly for brands like Taramps, Skar, Sundown. Then throw a few big names like Rockford, Alpine, JL just for comparison. This wal mart build is actually pretty impressive for the money spent on it.
Found a new 12 if you dare!!!!! Its called TT 12 XMAX by tt technologies. 12k max, 6k rms. I didn't know subs moved like this. It's so much for the 12 maybe just try the 15 but either way.
133/134 is what I got in my first budget build. Bogo Alpine type E 12s $100. Sony xplod "1200" watt amp. $20 ported prefab a buddy pulled from the junkyard and 4g wire I pulled from the junkyard. Did you have a bunch of extra cheap subs now, your should do a isobaric build
Parker I'd do a no wall like you said but window line n port the bottom towards the front and amp rack and accessories under the box hidden idk just an idea I'm sure you'll have it baggin
Two Amps will get you 137db still won't hit that twice as loud mark. But for the cost of this build. This is a 10 all day. I got money for my good stuff. But I was once a broke kid. So budget builds have a special place in my heart. Plus you'll be helping 16 year old me again in a wau
Put 2 of these in a 3.3 cube sealed firing into an 11 cube vented with a 8x8x8 port one time in a 99 dodge extended cab pickup on a audiopipe 1500. It was ridiculous 😂!!
Im from PR and Im going to subscribe just now to your channel because have watched some videos about taramps pro charger that I have one of them 60 amp version and the videos helped me figure out some features of it also I am a bassaddict and love reggaeton and bad bunny and have a cool audio system for hearing it loud so also thanks for the subwoofer comparison and reviews videos so we're bassing on
Why is this considered budget? $170 for the box, $200 for the subs, $300 for the amp, whatever the head unit and dash kit cost, and $80 for the wiring kits! This is a $900+ setup plus tax! (Not to mention the "upgrade phase" where he had the power acoustik amp for $100 more dollars) I'll admit, I used to run 2 of these in a sealed box. They can get pretty smelly, but keep on pumping bass. It's all about having fun! Btw I've loved watching you learn and grow. Keep beating down the block!
I built one that was amazing pioneer tens cuz they couldn't get a good 12 I had to buy every one I could find from every Walmart to get them to freaking keep from restock and the blown ones so I could return them and get ones that weren't blown already but the amp lasted me forever is the best amp ever had and I bought them all from Walmart it lasted me like eight nine years
I’d love to win this amp. I’ve been into bass and all that for a good year but I’m just now able to afford a decent subwoofer and now that I can I’ve been watching a ton of video of what to get. I’m looking at all of you’re videos especially with a skar vs sundown and skar reviews and sundown reviews. I’m looking for a 12 inch subwoofer. But now I need an amp to power them and having the amp would relieve all my stress of trying to find one for my build!
I run one of those gothics in my extended cab ranger in a Qlogic band pass box. Sounds pretty decent but I need a better amp that the Sony Xplode I have now.
Those skar boxes will make the cheapest subs sound good i have the same box with the skar sdr 12s in my son's car on a skar rp1200 and it's plenty for him.
Dude I really need this amp I'm running a 12 and 8 inch sub off of one 400 watt amp I really just need the amp but would love the money and btw I love your videos and content and tbh I got into subs bc of you and have learned a lot
Those subs are not bad at all on the cheap. 4 of them in a decent box would be great to see. The slot port in the center seemed to be the best placement.
imo it is a good idea to build a custom box for 4 of those 12s, because seems to be it really bangs for the buck, and also imo it is 1 of the best "big bang for the buck" subs in the cheapest category, if not the best...and also i've seen somebody made a custom box for just 1 of this 12, and it was tuned really low - dont remember exactly the box specs, but it was tuned to way under 30 hz, and it was suprisingly very windy on low-mid 20ish hz bass, and it also sounded clean on higher bass too, just not that loud, but decently loud
