I think that your analysis of pro games is the most in depth and concise I've seen from anyone (especially the theories and analysis on the igl's thought processes), keep up the good work!
Only Loud & Prx play completely different meta on Ascent prx harbor reyna last year & this year faide raze gekko even though it got stomp by genG ascent classic comp on grandfinal.
A super underrated point that u didnt mention is Loud back in 2022 made the default comp the best comp. when everyone else were trying comps and trying out strats with chamber they kept the same default comp and were unreal. now 2 years later they know exactly what made the default comp good because they were the ones who popularized it.
Hey! Thanks for the suggestion! Made some changes related to what you said but was basically done at that point so did what I could haha. Hope you enjoyed :)
its still a risky strategy if you ask me compare to the default one. the entire comp takes 3-2 people just to stall and control one site with their utilities and a sentinel agent can do that with 1/2 of the stall time and requires only one player and few resources, with the bet that the enemy doesnt know how to counter it ( in this case knowing sentinels are bad at controlling mid 4:48). best way to balance it, is just to have one sentinel replacing one initiator (in this case the kayo one) and you still got the immense flashes with omen, phoenix and breach, plus the info gathering one which replaces the kayo knife and plus the enhance ability to defend one site(replacing kayo molly).
I don't think I agree with you...kayo knife is a hard counter against solo sentinels holding site, that is an important aspect of this comp. Also, I don't think that this is too many flashes if you think about how Loud played these 2 ascents with this comp so far. They do not just passively hold sites (which would make sense with a sentinel), but they can actually delay the opponent by harassing them in different parts of the map, and then if eventually the opponent can take hold of a site the comp is also really heavy on retakes (which would be worse with a sentinel)...I think this comp is actually perfect for this playstyle
Kayo is believe it or not the strongest initiator they have. It can stop any rush faster than any sentinel can.. this strategy won’t work in ranked but in pro play they all know what to do
I think if loud get in madrid they will win their first masters finally, saadhak has a lot of things prepared. The boys have really wanted this title for a long time
Love the vid! I’m curious, the 70% same comp - is that those exact 5 agents or also the “replacement” agents such as cypher for killjoy or fade for sova?
Exactly those 5 agents Nrg, sen, kru, furia, c9, & lev. Mibr & G2 use cypher 4 other agents still same EG not playing this map rn only Loud is different.
I feel like those contact plays really cost sentinels many round, also on split where the skye nerf took away much of the recon capabilities of skye especially as the solo initiator
great vid man, do you plan on doing some videos on recent sentinels matches? particularly the one against LEV. Round 13 of split was a masterclass postplant, without util and numbers, and i think you could make great content out of stuff like that. Cheers
I actually almost completely agree with Saadhak, Cypher is the only really great Senti, the rest can be useful, but I share his philosophy on options/flexibility, its how I would IGL
I also hate sentinels, I feel like they're the type of agents that takes too much space. If you want to replace a sentinel, just replace it with initiator like kay o.
@@meow2841she's the initiator with the highest pickrate globally still, she just isn't the clear best and necessary option. i like the changes, this meta is the most diverse since pre chamber
He didn't explicitly state the answer, but I thought it was pretty obvious from how he showed why Loud doesn't need sentinels and the pros of their comp without one.
its only good in ranked, but in a high controlled enviroment like a vct match. sentinels are only at best at picking info and rarely they are effective through kill setup, especially at t1 matches.
I have never seen someone glaze Sentinels so hard lol. Let's see how they hold up against a good team NRG. They fo sure crap their pants against LOUD AND LOST 2-0.
