@@nobnobnobnob Lol I understand it might sound contradictory, but what I meant is that I'm hoping for Kyrie to maintain a level of consistency throughout the finals, even if it's not perfect. It's more about him performing at a reasonably steady level rather than expecting absolute consistency. You are 100% right about THJ
He is not a star in that way. The media does not recognize it, because he is a chubby, slow dude who does not speak English well…with an unpretty game. He is not a household name…only fans of the sport have heard of him. The media knows what a star is..because they create them..and he is not it. THAT is why they don’t ‘recognize’ him.
Doesnt change the fact that BIG KAT IS JOKIC and dereck lively biological father 🤣🤣 imagine resting because knee to head what a soft fragile vanilla 🤣WE ARE SATISFIED 🤣

B) Luka not proving them wrong, Luka fans been watching this for yrs C) these are same idiots saying SGA was MVP and Edwards face of league It's a shame all the BS they been spewing all season long all these casuals actually listen to them. For most people this is first time really watching Luka and the craziest thing is us Mavs fans know Luka about 70% rn.
@@MJ-xq2wjIf you're actually interested, Tim Legler is one of the only few people I saw that was completely confident in the Mavs since the trade deadline and saying they were going to be a top contender this year. He usually has pretty great perspective and unbiased opinions about everything basketball. He understands the game and has a genuine love and intrigue for it. But besides him, no one else ive seen.
Please stop dick riding commentators, Lively isn't a sensation, he's just doing his job. Its the big man system. All the bigs in Dallas do what Lively does, Average players don't miss dunks, all he's really done is dunk. Gafford pisses on Lively
When psycho Luka takes over that smile gets bigger and bigger. When these dues talk shit to him and he started to laugh that’s when I know it’s over. He did that shit to booker and shai and Rudy and ant.
I know why they already giving it to him he is imo but you Got to win a ring and he's my 2nd favorite player been a fan since a rookie but there's a new best player ever year so I think the 3 best are luka giannis jokic
@@sparingpickle4918 You know, I seriously doubt that’ll happen. I say that cause it seems that Dallas was destined to make it this far, and I’d like to see Luka, Hardaway Jr., and Coach Kidd get their first chip. Hardaway can even dedicate his chip to his dad. How cool would that be. Personally, I feel like Celtics will have their time, just not this year.

Even my mom, who doesn't watch basketball, knew immediately that Luka was different last night. She could just sense that inexplicable aura that only the truly great have when they're locked in. She asked me a few times which player was Dirk. So thats pretty much what she knows about basketball. Ive probably told her dirk has retired 10 times over the years. She only knows who Dirk is because she took me to see a few of the playoff games in 2011. She didnt really have the money for it but she wanted me to go anyway. I get teared up thinking about it. ❤
Finally someone speaking up about this, people were advocating for SGA while Luka was tiers above SGA this season, it wasn't even close. The single better stat SGA had is the seeding, which is a team stat and not an individual one. Luka is HIM 🪄✨
@@nydibs Luka was very obviously injured and he played through it. He could have gone the easy route as all of these modern "super stars" but he battled through it and showed everyone he's the best, no question. And this is coming from a Denver fan
Well the MVP is a regular season award and OKC was projected to be a playin team and SGA got them the first seed. To me that makes him the most valuable player. 🤷🏻♂️
@@TetrisKing and Luka kept the Mavs afloat before the trade deadline and they are still a 500 team in the stacked west, what difference does that make? He had a 34 point triple double average, what are we even talking about here
Nah, Jokic has been whether he wants it or not. I love Luka but if I had to choose, I'd pick Jokic. That blitzing the Wolves were doing against the Nuggets didn't work bc Luka isn't Murray 🤣 Luka picked them apart.
At first, I thought having both Luka and Kyrie would be a problem for the team. Them being ballhandlers that usually move the offense on every play, now they have to split reps. Boy did they prove my ass wrong. Those guys compliment each other so well. They can be on the court shredding everybody, or spread out and play with the bench players so each of them cook on their own terms while the other gets rest. Not to mention, perfect fit for the boys with the alley oop game. Got 3 guys who can just snatch it out the air and both Luka and Kyrie love throwing up lobs. I cant get enough of this team. Such great basketball
Luka's knee is injured, no Lively, and Boston has won 60 game this year. The Mavs are entering this series as the underdog- even more so if Porzingis comes back. Dallas may have the best player (arguably the better 2, as Kyrie has been incredible) but Boston has been knocking at the door since 2017
I always said Luka is a warrior. His level raises just as the challenge does. He was always playing at such a high level, he only feels the ick when it really matters. Kobe knew… mamba mentality.
@@nydibs Have you watched this season's playoffs? Luka has been playing actual defense. In every playoff series, we have seen it. And you forget in the final month of the regular season before the actual playoffs, he was first in the nba in defensive rating with 102.5. He and Kyrie are putting in effort on defense on a team that already improved with the Gafford & Washington trades.
@@nydibs dont kid yourself brunson was nowhere near the player he is now and requires the offense to run through him like luka which doesnt work out here, hes a good #1 option rather than an effective 2 like kyrie who can match lukas numbers yet not have the ball in his hands the whole time and KP got injured in playoff runs, and hes currently a 4th or 5th option for the celtics, we had mf dwight powell minutes back then that is just not something anyone could work with in a finals run and lukas defense has been good this playoffs if you actually watched the games (he is 1st in defensive win shares this postseason) and is leading in steals and defensive rebounds, saying his teammates are "covering up" for him on defense is just delusional, and his poor shooting partly comes down to his injury (you are clueless if you think a sprained knee has no effect on shooting especially on 3s and doesnt affect your ability to drive to the basket) his one somewhat healthy series vs the wolves he went 47% from the field and 43% from 3 which is extremely good efficiency considering how many 3s he takes (like 10 per game) , and his assist to turnover ratio is 2.2 which while not ideal its better than anthony edwards' 2, and not far off from jokic's 2.6. your comment is clearly full of bias, so please try looking at some stats sometime with some context in mind
@@Brando90198 You guys listen to the media too much and not watch. Stats wise the guy has also improved in 3 of the last 4 seasons and btw, a championship run is only a few months. What matters is how you play in the run itself. The wolves have been consistent in the regular season and some of the playoff games but are they in the finals? The lakers back in early 2000's were terrible in one of those seasons defensively as in average but when playoffs came, they turned it on. The point is, a couple of months is all that is needed for those runs. There's more examples to use but you get the picture
He needs a ring. He’s not flashy or on a hyped team so he has a lot to overcome perception. He deserved MVP this season this league has lost its mind not to give it to him.
He'll get at least one in his career FOR SURE but what do you mean "he needs a ring"? He's 25, long career ahead of him if he keeps it up. Why does he need one more than the other top tier talent in the league?
Incredible video! Had the pleasure of meeting Luka and Dwight Powell a few weeks ago at a game. The way they made my 8 year old daughter’s day… she’ll never forget that.
SGA has a great future and I think he will become an MVP in the near future. But, the media made SGA as if he's the best player above jokic and luka, while luka literally was better than him at every single stat, if it is scoring assists or even rebounds, even the shooting splits are in luka's favor, but the media is just not accepting that a white boy is dominating the league, time to give luka his flowers, he deserves to be called the best player in the world, coming from a celtics fan
I don’t think SGA can win mvp now. Because in my opinion this year was going to be his best chance getting #1 seed. He will never have stats like Giannis, and definitely not like Luka or Jokic. If OKC don’t get 1st he will never be considered
@@rickyosman1114 OKC will be contenders for the 1st seed for years to come, they have a bright future, and If he upgrades his game to not just be "mr consistent" a bit, he definitely will, but for now, Luka deserved to be the MVP this season because the Mavs prior to the trade deadline were horse ****, and still luka carried them all the way from the 10th seed to 5th, with all due respect to jokic

This youtuber was talking about " The flu games " , but he forgot that literally on the team that Luka is playing right now there was a man named Dirk Nowitzki , who went against the big 3, whilst having the flu. now THAT is a legendary Maverick! I hope luka becomes someone like him !
That was the single best performance i've ever seen live with my own two eyes. I was 11 years old and was the only time i can remember my father (God rest his soul) crying tears of joy.
Luka has star quality. His plays are unpredictable, he makes clutch baskets and he has charisma. Its been pretty obvious he's the nba's star attraction for a few years.
He's been the best player in the league for a few years now. He is simply smarter than anyone else in the league. Not an accident he does what he does.
I’ve been waiting for this. Mavs fan since 2007 and I’m so happy for them! Greetings from Uruguay GOAT! Your videos always make my day. Take care my king
It was a very smart strategy. Luka dominates the first, gets doubled and lets the rest of the team finish it off while contributing with his magic. Thank you for another fantastic video. I got chills at the end.
Its been 6 years i watch this guy play. You made me cry with this video, i've been waiting for so long for a video like this. Doncic is really special and it feels like we are watching history being made. I really wish he takes it all this season against the celtics. It would fullfill my heart.
@@crystalizedExposed By the media yes. by a Landslide. MF came into the league being the MVP of euroleague while still 19 years old. but American media forced the narrative to try and make everyone think american basketball is that much better than European. When the reality is that for the last 5 years the best player in the league has been European. Luka just got the short end of the stick cause hes the most outspoken of them all, the "Jordan Mentality" they love about Edwards is what they hate on Luka. even though hes way better at backing it up.
I’ve been watching Luka since he was 15 ,he and I quite literally grew up together I was 11 watching him on Real Madrid . Whenever the Olympics rolled around I was just watching him if I lucked up and found a stream on RU-vid or online. It’s so nice to see how much love he is getting now and how much more successful he has become each year he’s been in the league. Lebron is my all time favorite player and Luka has been my favorite current player since he came in the league. He’s been my favorite basketball player since I first ever saw him play, I happened to see Luka in person vs the pistons earlier in the year and I could’ve cried I was so happy. My girlfriend at the time got me tickets to see Luka for my birthday and I went with 5 of my closest friends. The game was amazing, but anayway after seeing that Mike korzemba video about him I was hooked. I’ve never seen anyone have a similar play style I’ve never liked the harden comparison because all they do similar is step backs nothing else
I actually forgot Luka did that this season lmao. I was thinking of the 60 whatever last season as the 70+. Hubie voice "so here's a guy in Luka Doncic, you understand, that we take for granted. You need to understand what Luka Doncic does in the nba against elite competition. he's gonna give you 30 points, 10 assists, and 10 rebounds on a consistent basis. And every now and then, he'll sprinkle in a little Luka Magic." Damn dude. You drop 73 in a season and average 33.9 points (1st) 9.2 rebounds (15th) 9.8 assists (2nd!) Carrying a team. Scoring an absurd amount of points. Killing it down the stretch. Yeah. There was an Heir Jordan in series after all.
I like Ant's confidence, and he is right, what are they expecting to say? it's over? Nah, he was ready to be tested, at that point they where at the bottom and you only can go up
@@shawneverett8311 "face off the French fries"? 😂 if you mean franchise then he already is lol, but if you mean face of the NBA then no not yet, the media just wanted to push that on him because he reminds them of MJ and they hate giving Europeans credit
This generation of basketball is looking really good. Luka and Wembanyama with GOAT potential. SGA, Edwards, Halliburton and Tatum future Hall of Fame contenders. Jokic being Jokic.
I just started watching and following basketball a couple years ago for 2 reasons. My best friend and Luka freaking Doncic. Dude is insanely entertaining to watch.
What a great and amazing video. To have clips from before the series started, all the due highlights to be edited in such a story-like fashion was top notch, “the last dance” type fashion. Subscribed, keep it up, and GO MAVS
I don’t care what nobody say. There’s something to be said about raw talent. I stopped watching the NBA consistently in 07. I was used to those old battles, LA, San A, SAC, old school T Wolves, HOU. What we witnessing right now with Luka is he a straight killa when he got that ball in his hands. What’s even more crazy or the question should be, who can stop him. Now he got somebody that can come through, say hi, match your energy, 36 and fade to black. I don’t know if they beat the Celtics but if they do and Kyrie stay and they can continue to build chemistry as a team. Damn
Jokic still leads the Playoffs in Win Shares despite only playing two rounds. Jokic is still clearly the best and most valuable player in the NBA. He won a championship with ZERO All-NBA teammates, ZERO All-Defensive teammates, and ZERO All-Star teammates. When is the last time someone has done that? Probably NEVER.
I mean his defense now is very limited he barely moves without the ball. Watch when he gives the ball to Kyrie very early in the possession he sometimes stays close to the middle of the court. The same when he is defending he often doesn’t challenge 3 point shots. You can see that he saves his knee to offensive possessions. It is not a critique I still think he is the best player on the court even when he plays at 70%.
Jokic deserved the MVP. His team was worse than the Timberwolves but he played like the MVP that he is. Jokic was the best player in the world and earned his MVP. Luka is amazing too and is probably the 2nd best player just behind Jokic
In 20+ years of watching the NBA Jokic is the best offensive engine I've ever seen. He's the only player I've ever seen that can drop 15pts and be more useful than someone that drops 40. The most efficient player in NBA history
Great video as always. Keep on Goatin'.🐐 I know it's easy to say after the fact, but I fuckin called the game 5 Mavs win with my friends, in this exact way, for a very simple reason. Rest and recovery. The Mavs, but especially Luka, need it. After the game 4 narrow loss it was obvious they were gonna come out the gate guns blazing.
they hatin' cuz he is y.t. pure and simple. They hated Bird back in the day for the same reason. Luka is not super fast, he is a bit chubby, and he is killing all y'allz favorite players. They just hate to see a foreigner who is y.t. dominate the American NBA.
Nah, Jokic gets mad love from most. And Ginobli, Steve Nash & Toni Kukoc got respect back in the day. Your ballers are coming from the G-League & overseas now & everyone knows it!!
@@GOATiology You gotta make a video about Luka in the playoffs and finals on the positive notes GOAT. Dude doesn’t deserve all the hate. He still is the best player in the world. Just not on the greatest team. Nobody else showed up.
gj mavs i knew you'd close this game ( didnt expect the 20 pts blow out but thats just icing on the cake) oh and wb lively - 3rd best rookie this year for sure .
As a Mavs fan, even tho I think Ant is a little bit too cocky sometimes, that said, when he said he was gonna guard Kyrie and see what he can to vs him or when he said they were gonna come back, that it came from a bad place, like he said, was he supposed not to show confidence? Now, I really did not like Kat hitting Lively, Naz hitting Luka on that flagrant, and much less Rudy, what the fuck was that, for a big guy, he seemed small, that punch on Luka was pitty af... Ant is alright, needs a bit of humility, but he's alright, I like his game.
He never said he was gonna lock down Kyrie... He said it would be fun. Just means he's a competitor excited to play against one of the best. I don't get why people are making that statement as smack talk. He literally said "it's gonna be fun"
@@nydibs You're absolutely correct. People like to sensationalize untruths for whatever they deem to helps them sleep at night. Luka is having a great play-off run, but now to call him the Goat, please get real.
Another fire video, man. Great stuff. I think Luka and the Mavs can do this but it is going to be a tough series against the Celtic's. If they can take one of the first two games, they're on their way.
