Warning: Making Soft Plastic lures can involve high temperature liquid plastic under pressure and is inherently dangerous if spilled or mishandled. Proceed making lures at your own risk.
Welcome back fishing RU-vidrs!!
We are remelting used plastic and mixing up one big pot of ugliness for today's video! Never let your old plastic go to waste! You can make some weird colors for your baits when blending old plastisol together. Today I am basically injecting every mold I have just for fun! these baits are being raffled off so be sure to Share this video and leave a comment!
Make sure and save your store bought plastics so you can reuse those as well!!
Always wear gloves and use caution when making your own soft plastics. The plastisol gets very hot and the injectors put the hot plastic under pressure, eye glasses and gloves are recommended.

*Altogether a well made lure **enjoyable.fishing** recommend it’s the skirt seems to stay on well and the whole thing is bigger than I thought it would be. The 2 metal have a nice plating on them as well.*

Very close to the color I use for largemouth. Only difference I see is the glitter. (Buying bulk rejects for largemouth pond fishing)

When I got home from school today as you said I got store bought soft plastics that I had no idea why I bought them and some used ones and put them in a zip lock bag. When I order my open pour molds I will make a "suicide color" like you made.

Verry nice I would love to try them on the ca delta those June bug flukes I bought from you are the Bomb I caught a 5 pound large mouth and a 4 plus last night on the delta in our Wednesday night tournament unfortunately we were late with a dead battery one guy lost a. Prop we Have a great bunch of guys helping everyone out one guy had any extra prop so he got back home to the ramp. Keep the videos coming

Justin Robbins that's really good..just make sure your graphic artist puts the proper bleed on the art so they turn out well..the bag company should be able to advise on that. There is a little bit of a language barrier, but the people I used were easy and helpful.

Could use a labeler for the top of the molds to name the bait molds so while you are pouring you can make quick judgments on your next selection easier. (A label junky outed lol)

they sell it to companies that make street cones and show soles...youll have to do your own research to see about buying the used plastic, contact the companies

I always hear other guys say you have to top off the molds but it did not seem like you did top them all off and they seem just fine...

Alexx Ramirez it depends on each mold..my ribbon tail worms and my frog need to be topped off, my swimbait and craw bait does not..when the plastic cools it shrinks and "draws in" which can create air pockets in the nose if not topped off..it's good practice to top off every mold regardless

While the Plastisol we use for baits is flexible and elastic..it does tear relatively easily..I wouldn't think it would be suitable for a mask of any sort

Nuno De Sousa I call it the Florida frog and I designed it myself and had a custom mold made.. some of my other baits come from mold makers such as Bears baits and bass tackle

unless your injector is super hot you have to clean it out each time..at least in my experience so far.

Jakota Harris if I was starting from scratch I would put the plastic in the vaccum chamber before putting it in the pot, since the pot Heats it up slow it has less bubbles than a microwave in general

Jerrod Shrode designed the Frog custom myself and commissioned the molds to be made, my other molds come from various mold cutters like bass tackle etc

Jonathan Jr Hartwick Yeah that's a really good idea for a video..you need at least a gallon of Plastisol, 1 hand injector, gloves, handful of colors, handful of different glitters, Pyrex cups, microwave and a table in your garage so you can ventilate. Start with just a few molds of your favorite baits and spend a few weeks learning how to do it before spending more money. I got started for about $500.
