Great video, but you have a few errors to correct. If you are counting the Giant-size team with Second Genesis as an Era, then in addition to Banshee, Kitty Pryde is also missing in both her "Sprite" and "Ariel" costumes. Rogue in her original villain costume is needed, and Binary should be grouped with her fellow Starjammers (Hepizibah, Raza and Sikorsky still needed). New Mutants are all still MIA except for Warlock. The costume used on the Dani Moonstar figure is not representative of that Era, so none of them count. These character could be presented in either their training uniforms, their graduation uniforms, or some in their "post Magneto/pre-Cable" looks. Bird-Brain, Boom-boom, Rusty, Skids, Rictor don't have figures either. Next, Magneto never led the X-Men. He was headmaster of the school. We can still take this era through the Secret Wars, Mutant Massacre, and Fall of the Mutants, but I am not sure why you have Angel here as he was part of the Champions, the New Defenders and eventually X-Factor during this period. Rogue had two distinct looks over this period, neither of which have figures, and Kitty finally became Shadowcat, but her first look was a little more punk than the Excalibur version. Also need a Colossus, a Rachel in her first Phoenix costume, and a 1st appearance Psylocke. Xavier himself, was also briefly an active field member at the start of this period so bring on the yellow tights. Outback Era, you omitted having the Bonebreaker wave Havok. Alpha Flight is missing a lot. Nevermind Aurora and Shaman's second costumes, in addition to Marina, we also need Talisman, Box(Roger Bochs), Box 2, Box(Madison Jeffries), and Wild Child. Ah, the X-men Gold team. Not complete. I don't think even Hasbro realizes that the Colossus from the Gold team and from Giant-size are not interchangeable. The figure we have is technically wrong for both. It is essentially Giant-size with a big "X" on his belt (which he didn't have). The Gold team version has a different belt, different gauntlets, different boots, and different shoulder flares. This needs correcting badly.
Thank you for all these specific details! Some of these I was aware of and left out to streamline, but a lot of other details I had forgotten/wasn’t aware of. Thank you!
I'm glad you brought up Colossus. I'm always saying this as well. Nobody ever says anything about it. I really want him with the proper wrist braces etc.
-From outback Havok is there! Is the same as the original team . His costume didn't Change at all! - Magneto as leader of the X-Men was released in the second wave of X-Men 97 - Kitty and Colossus wear their classic outfits for Astonishing. So only Beast would be missing
What about Cyclops' post avx team? Cyclops was released in 2014. You have Magik from what I saw. Emma was also released in 2019. The Cuckoos were released in 2020. We're only missing Magneto.
Im hoping we'll get Quicksilver in his X-Factor unfirom with the big yellow X on his torso. Such a simple but effective look and he only wore it for *two issues* before he was written off the book to go do something else. I also want Polaris in her third X-Factor costume, which debuted in the same issue as Quicksilver's team uniform.
I've never been able to afford or had the room for these guys, but I appreciate seeing them and your video is awesome! I wonder though, why they wouldn't take the list of missing figures and make them in a couple of waves. Marrina was always one of my favorites, so it's the saddest omission.
Marvel girl in dress goes into the same team as original havok and polaris , cyclops was same as cockrum byrne era Iceman in classic cockrum byrne era version, no beast in his graduation costume of blue, Angel had a graduation costume that was different from his iconic cockrum byrne red or blue version. Original class was released in a multipack although it wasn't the best version we might prefer.
@@Soundout12 It's literally the same outfits as the original team with the only technical exception of Iceman, who really was only his "snowman" appearance for a few issues anyway. It's the 60's team, what specific comic they're from is irrelivant if it's the same design.
I hope they eventually make Shard. Bishop's Sister. She was a member of X-Factor's 3rd main team (which I think started to form around #114 and was complete by #122). Led by Forge and featured villains Mystique and Sabretooth. I'm glad they finally made Chamber from Generation X. He was the standout in terms interesting looks. Husk would be another great one. As long as she is partially 'husking' her skin.
I’ll admit, I haven’t read 90s X-Force in full so I ran off of how other collectors display them so my mistake for not knowing Deadpool was a villain. Thanks for the correction!
u could actually use the rogue figure that is from the outback era for the fourth team and magneto from the x-men '97 wave as well as the shadowcat (excalibur i believe) even if it isnt exact it pretty much is the same
My nostalgia for the Ultimate costumes is definitely from both X-Men Legends games (all-time favs to this day) In-fact: I'll consider *my* collection of the team pretty much done once I've hit that lineup
Loved this video!!!! Though, that first Polaris you featured is not her 70’s era outfit. It’s actually the outfit she started wearing when Ed Brubaker started writing Uncanny X-Men with Rise and Fall of the Shi’Ar Empire. After she Gambit and Sunfire were all horsemen of Apocalypse at the same time. 70’s Polaris had a skull clasp(?) connecting her halter and neck collar thing on that costume. And swoopy scarf things across her arms. Might as well do Avengers next if you’ve got the figures for it. I look forward to it.
@harryrao4296 well, when you don't specify "Marvel," then one could say with confidence, that *_"Batman"_* would be one of them. When you also didn't specify comics, one could also say, *_"Barbie" *_** and **_*"Ken."_*
Curious why the Juggernaut 2 pack Colossus and Juggernaut BAF Kitty Pryde couldn't work for Astonishing. That's a team I'd like to collect and had considered getting both of those.
Bro, X-23 wasn't in Uncanny X-Force, she and a different outfit of Wolverine was part of X-Force Strike Team with Warpath, Domino, Archangel, Elixir, Vanisher and Wolfsbane. And AoA Nightcrawler and Archangel are missing in Uncanny X-Force.
Too many eras. Jim Lee was my favorite, so that's my focus. Although, I do like some previous iterations, such as the Silvestri Rogue, with the black body suit & green leotard. The armored Psylocke & etc.
The Marvel Now era figures (Minus one team I just completely missed, check the other comments for more detail) is a lot of one offs so far. We need more modern figures in the line!
For Giant Sized #1, I'd argue Wolverine doesn't count. They have yet to release one that fits all the factors for the look, being very much a "I guess it's close enough" situation. Sure you can kitbash a different head onto the first appearance body, but that's not the same as Hasbro having released one designed for that look. The Uncanny X-Force team requires the SDCC box set anyway and sort of depends where you cut. The launch roster is Wolverine, Deadpool, Psylocke, Fantomex, and Archangel. The Psylocke you've got is from the following run with Cluster, in the Remender series she's in her classic suit in black which was in the SDCC pack but not the Nimrod one. The initial five are complete, but to cover the whole run you'd also need an AoA Nightcrawler. And I guess arguably an E.V.A. And maybe Genesis? Hard to say. Anyway, the original five are definitely complete but also dated.
Wouldn't the cyclops from the claremont run work with Havok and Polaris since he changed into that look around the time those 2 joined? Also based on the image the Excalibur 3-pack shadowcar would work with the magneto team.
You should one for The Avengers as well. I know they've been around for so long. But Im also curious about any changes for Fantastic Four/Future Foundation and The Guardians of the Galaxy as well
I want to do one for The Avengers but I’ll need to research some more about the team changes. FF and GOTG I could definitely do since I’ve read a ton of FF and every GOTG issue
@@Soundout12 Sounds amazing, can't wait for to see what you got cooking up, great vid. It still amazes me how far The Guardians of the Galaxy have come since the MCU
@@LoneWolfDaniel23 Thank you! I’m amazed as well. It really propelled those characters into being staples of the Marvel Universe instead of stuck to cameo appearances every few years
Hey, nice work. Tell me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure that we already got an astonishing kitty and colossus in I believe the warlock and onslaught waves.
The Kitty Pride I consider a later version due to details like the shoulder pads. Colossus is Astonishing but a later iteration of the team when they got the X-Logos on the chest
That’s 2010’s Polaris not 1st app. I feel like black suit variant storm was intended to fudge into the Outback team. Don’t think the intention of blink and morph were for exiles but for AOA, that’s just blinks more popular look. Doubt we’re getting any further exiles members. You’re also mixing two different xforce teams. Domino and warpath which have been made would go with x23. Archangel and Wolverine were on both teams. So actually missing wolfsbane, vanisher and elixir for one team and wasn’t aoa nightcrawler on the team with psylocke and Deadpool? Didn’t read that run. Anyway nice teams
@@Soundout12 I only really know cos I read the first incarnation of the black/grey team but they’re so similar in look why not just put them together. There’s so many figures I don’t think will ever get made, like 1st appearance Polaris. So may as well fudge in that updated look. Same with black suit storm, after getting her I just highly doubt we’ll get the ⚡️ across her chest any time soon. You’ve got some stacked teams so far tho
Interesting video concept. I'd certainly love to see more of thise type, like Avengers teams. Or DC teams, if you have enough of those sorts of figures. Something I think could be a fun addition to put at the end would be for you to rank each team by how likely you think it is for them to get completed in the future.
Wouldn't the house of X marvel girl be apart of the classic X-men team that you showcased because by the time havok was introduced the X-men had already been wearing the second more colorful suits and one of them was marvel girl's green dress
Definitely wanting to! It's on the list to produce once I get some research done. I've read a lot less Avengers than I have X-Men so I'll need to do more deeper research.
Amazing vídeo I hope it becomes a recurring series. here's a challenge for other videos: all spider-men/spider-people/variants in the spider-verse and all the spider-man villains ever released!
Nice video, but a couple of glaring omissions. First of all the original 5 member X-Men team, in their black and yellow school uniforms, were released in the First Class Box-Set. People may not love all of those figures, but it doesn't change the fact that the entire team does exist as Hasbro Marvel Legends. Secondly, the black suit Havok from the Bonebreaker wave absolutely works with the Outback X-Men. So I don't know why you wouldn't include him on that team.
One missing team I used to love the book was The X-Tremendous X-Men. That follow the second movie and the teams wore black and had a new Thunderbird, old Black Queen of Hellfire Club Sage, and new characters siblings from Australia Lifeguard and Slipstream.
Think you mean x-treme xmen, probably autocorrect. I’d like to see this team done, we did get Rogue from Toybiz but she’s the only member ever made. Shame cos I’d love sage from the era
It’s one of those magazine types with removable pages I believe You could, but Bobby had a different belt in X-Factor so that’s why I left him out of that team
Give me some examples please As I mentioned in the intro, I was restricting things to 2016 to present due to the shifting of design and intention in the line since then
@@ncooley527 I chose 2016 as the start since that was the first wave in Infinite Series that wasn’t exclusive to ToysRUs And the 5 Pack was the All-New X-Men versions which are different costumes than the originals
@@Soundout12 False they are intended to be exactly the same as the original costumes as the team was pulled from the past and brought to present day in the book.
So the only 2 things I slightly disagree with are the intifada x men team and Astonishing. The original 5 were in a toys r us 5 pack during the hasbro era (2014 I think?) And the shadowcat from the juggernaut wave is considered her Astonishing costume, no?
@@Soundout12 My bad, it might not be 100% official but I’ve seen what I’d describe as Promo Images all over Instagram. The figure, the exoskeleton with two sets of hands, open and ones with wolverine-esque claws.
The Kitty Pride I consider a later version due to details like the shoulder pads. Colossus is Astonishing but a later iteration of the team when they got the X-Logos on the chest
Yes, I mentioned one in my post. A Futuristic Marvel 818. Many AOA and Futuristic looking characters in both my Avengers and X-Men teams. Old Man Logan is basically the Leader of Xavier's School. White Magneto passes himself off as the 'Son' of Magneto as after 20 years few people remember him as a Villain. Emma Frost is also young as a Diamond doesn't age. Also have mother and daughter Rogues as one Rogue looks really young.
Well, I'm a 30 years 1 month Collector! I have built 3 different Marvel Earth's; Earth 616, Main Marvel Earth 777, older Toy Biz, but mostly replaced Earth 818, Futuristic Marvel, about 15-20 years. I mostly count my Marvel 616, where I have 54 X-Men, 53 actual, 1 Custom, divided into 4 Teams and a small Mansion staff; X-Men, Main team 13 members X-Factor, Public Face of Mutants, 10 members X-Force, Lethal Strike Team, 12 members New Mutants, now more like a 21 Jump Street team to seek out and protect emerging Mutants, 13 members Mansion staff, 7 members There is also an Exiles Team on this Earth. On Earth 777 there is an X-Men team. On Earth 818 there is also an X-Men Team, with a 3-way Leadership of Old Man Logan, White Magneto, and Emma Frost as a Diamond doesn't age. A custom Franklin Richards and X-23 in the Wolverine costume are members of both the X-Men and Avengers. I have mother and daughter Rogues as well. Some of them are AOA versions. There is also an Exiles Team on 818, but fewer Mutants as there is a WW2 Captain America, a British 00 agent who is a Spider Shot etc. Of course a Blink and 'Good Sabretooth' Mr. Creed as well. This is how I deal with good variants. LOL. Oh, and I have made 3 X-Men into Villains as I needed more Brotherhood, so Chamber and Kid Omega went into the Brotherhood and Maggot, who is Blue, became the Kree Powerhouse Mangler!
If you're particular about costume versions (which I respect), Siryn is not 90's. I wish she was (and had a screaming head, which they "promised for later" 🙄).
I try not to get too picky into costume details, cause of the reality of MLs being kinda fusions of different iterations But that being said, I just kinda feel like Siryn won’t get a second figure and we’ll just have to pretend she’s 90s 😩
Personally I want them to start again with new mutants cause those costumes aren’t really the iconic versions of those characters we need the originals
