Good afternoon and happy Monday Snowy 🌨 ❄ looking forward to this hike, even beautiful area minus the cows 🐄 😳 imagine if this became a foubd footage film! 👻 🐮 Totaly missed the stone that said Devil's Pulpit when we visited earlierin the year, was alot busier too, guess time of day, Tinturn Abbey is immense, what a place! Loved the Time Warp footage along the river, its spectacular! ❤ 🐎 🐴 Such history along this walk, really well captured 👌 Thanks for the breakfast mention 😆 stay hydrated 100%! Maybe slow berry's Snowy, for Gin? can't wait for the next section, hopefully if you premiere we will be there this time 😀 Have a great week, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 🗺 🧭
Evening Ceri & Kat! So much history along the path it's got the lot! Next episode I pass by the abode of the Hay's Poisoner 🍯😮 Looking forward to your next video all the best!☕☕🍰🍰
Holy cow so many cows and beautiful horses and lambs. What a entertaining to see them and berries looks like blackberries... and really enjoyed historical buildings 💕🌳🌳🌳
Cracking start Snowy! Cow whisperer, horse whisperer a man of many talents! looking forward to seeing and hearing more about that lovely Sigma of yours.👍👍👍👍
The dreaded ''cow army'' , never seen so many in one field lol..............have heard of Tintern-abbey but never been, great viewpoint there mate, very scenic part of the country. Great start to your adventure Snowy, nice weather and beautiful countryside(crikey that bull was a big bugger)..................ATB...Stu......👍👌😊
Thanks Stu, it was the most cows I'd ever seen in one place too and the farmer narrowed the field with electric fence so they were all bunched up along the path! What a welcome! All the best mate👍🍺🍺
Thank you for the warning about not feeding horses. People often try to feed them really weird things - everything from beefburgers to garden rubbish! A horse's system has evolved to digest grass. If they are fed something unsuitable they are likely to get colic, which is frequently fatal. When people feed horses in a field it often causes fights too - it's not a nice experience finding your horse with a leg smashed by a kick from another horse. Enjoy watching the horses you encounter, and keep up the good work of protecting them from the thoughtless.
Your right, but my point is you should never feed them because there not yours, if some people walked into my back garden and started feeding our fish mars bars I wouldn't be happy
Great start, looks like you had perfect hiking weather - and perfect hiking companions. Who doesn't like to share the trail with about 1000 cows? 😉 That cream coloured bull at the end though.... wouldn't have liked to see that beast come purposefully heading towards the trail like that - even if he was just on his way to hide behind his ladies and kids. Coward! 😂😂 (That bull is not subscribed to your channel, is he? I mean he can't read this comment and find out where we live ...? 😬)
He might be all the bulls are subscribed to my channel!😅😉 I've never seen so many cows and sheep on a trail like on Offa! Thanks guys for stopping by!🍺🍺😁
Hi Snowy nice to see you back out on trail, nice story with the old castle, see the cows didnt bother you to much but when you see that bull, it does make you think they can be a problem thankfully he was in a good mood, looks like bigger mountains to come so will look forward to part 2 cheers nigel
Another great watch, I saw you had your water bottle attached to your bag , I do the same but lost it while on a bike ride last week.away at the moment walking in South Devon last day tomorrow .The dyke is on the todo list . In series of roundish walks .. wife not a cow fan worse since we got the dog..
Excellent hike Snowy , there was some amount of bovine in those fields . Do you ring a head and request them lol . Deffo struck gold with a pub with campsite . You are just teasing us by keeping tent porn to the minimum 😂 atb Dave
Thanks Daz, this trail had the most cows and sheep I have ever encountered in Britain! Millions of them mate and don't get me started on the cow pats and sheep poo all over the gaff!!😅👍🍺🍺😁
Yay another Snowy adventure 👏🏻😄 I had a good laugh the first 2 minutes. A white knuckle trek to the end of the paddock/field. Curious cows and a good idea you filmed yourself in case of any funny business 😂 What a fun episode, look forward to the next as always 😊
Hi there, they were sloes which will turn your face inside out if you just eat them! I make sloe gin with them, lovely on a cold winters night (video on my channel). You put in some miles on the first two days. The walk by the river Wye is indeed wonderful. Looking forward to seeing the Black Mountain section, the it's super views. atb Simon
Snowy, thanks for another great video. Always enjoyable. How about attempting the Cambrian Way next year? It's quite a bit more challenging than the other UK trails, but offers amazing mountain scenery.
Good to see you on the trail again. I would have loved to do this walk. I know the area around Welshpool quite well but, unlike the SUW, can’t share any reminiscences during this walk. Looking forward to the following episodes.
Thanks Emma much appreciated. All the signs along the route say it's breathtaking boarder country. It's a really nice trail and not too remote so a different experience from my SUW journey. All the best🙂
@@snowymatrix Years ago, I’d considered combining Offas Dyke with Glyndwr’s Way I think the latter goes thru some beautiful country too. Hopefully next spring I’ll do a long walk. I’ll probably have to B&B it: I’m trying to decide whether it’ll be the Speyside Way, Rob Roy Way or, nearer to home, the Border Abbey’s Way.
I hate walking past cows 🐄, much prefer horses, usually friendlier, I worry about rams too 🐏 lol, nice when churches open their doors for a pit stop if needed , good vid mate, didn't seem safe having that bull in the field with the cows and calf, I'd have turned around 😆 👍
@@snowymatrix thanks for replying I'm thinking of walking offas next summer for charity, I've done a few things for the heart foundation, I've just had a double hip replacement so I've been unable to do pretty much anything for the last few years because of the pain but now I'm back in the game I really want to do the walk I want to do it with a bit of camping have you got any tips thanks for your help take care, Tony.
