My 2 favorite concepts or refreshes are the FC-150, would love to have one of those, & the J6 Concept. Jeep needs to build it and call it the Scrambler!
Hi Brad, the name of the short orange JL concept was "Orange Peel" and the most exciting thing about it was the glass roof element that was one piece and could be flipped up or removed completely. I'm still waiting for this option today so that I can buy it as an original Mopar part. The wheels on the 4xe military concept were not made of steel, they just look like it. They are aluminum and were then powder coated. What great impressions from this hidden, secret place. Thanks for sharing with the community. That must have been a fantastic day!
Really interesting to see some of the evolution in the subtle and not-so-subtle design changes over time, it’s like looking at a flashback of things I’ve dreamt about doing to my own Jeep! That Mighty FC is wicked, very Unimog-esque but so very cool, very well done and love that color, thanks for taking us along to this gem!
kid in a candy shop doesnt even come close to how cool it would be to check out the concecpt storage warehouse. That olive drab color is awesome. Beats taking a rattle can to the jeep, which ive done on an old YJ lol. WIsh I could get that on my rubi. Not sure how it pair with the red interior though.
Awesome video I sure hope jeep doesn’t get to deep into the battery powered vehicles. The 4xe is enough. They will lose a lot of repeat customers if they don’t offer a 6 or 8 cylinders
I really like the mil green color as well. So does my wife. I wonder why Jeep does not seem to offer it. Maybe per request of the mil, who prefers not too have too many around to avoid confusion. That would be of course understandable. But I would still like it or anything close is that was possible.
It would just be nice if the quality would improve, the well known issues ie:the wobble, should have long been addressed.Bitchin' vehicles other than that.
I can't believe Jeep hasn't come out with a Wrangler Unlimited L on the Gladiator wheelbase. Imagine how much money a three-row Wrangler would print. Families who want to look outdoorsy would snatch it up and overlanders would buy it.
@@bwofficial1776 A long tail JL, w/ 2 or 3 rows would be awesome. Stretch the rear tub, Offer a removable 3rd row, and just use the 2-door hard-top with a filler panel over the 2nd row. The 2nd row already folds enough for kids to climb beck there. I really think the market exists for a Wrangler that can carry more people/stuff.
The Sandstorm length should def be the standard of all 2 doors going forward. Basically like the old LJ lengths. Perfect for a 2 door in my opinion. Ha. Awesome walk around Brad! 🤙
My personal favorites are always the single cab jeep trucks with big tires. I so wish that was a production option somehow. I was honestly dissapointed with the gladiator when it came out with a back seat. Give me all bed and a minimalist cab.
What a treat! Thanks for sharing this with us. It’s always great to see how enthusiastic the designers are, preserving while evolving a great American icon.
I really feel the scrambler and the retro mod wagoneer would sell well. Every car now has random crappy lines just not aesthetic at all. That wagoneer evokes the same retro mod feel the modern challengers do. Build em and we will buy em
So many great concepts. I love the vintage and retro-style builds. I never really thought about what happens to the concepts after Easter Jeep Safari so it makes sense that they're all stashed in a warehouse. I would love to see this place in person. I imagine it's like that warehouse at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark. You should visit the Land Cruiser museum the next time you're in Utah. Jeep needs to build a Wrangler Unlimited L on the Gladiator wheelbase. The Wrangler prints money for Jeep because most buyers want to look outdoorsy even if they'll never take it off-road. A three-row Jeep would print even more money from families and would be convenient for overlanders who want a fully-enclosed cabin.
Always loved the FC concept. Really like the Africa Wrangler also even though I hate the name Wrangler used on the four doors. And the steely wheels just look so much better than the factory options.
When the Mighty FC first came out it had portal axles. Odd that they decided to do away with them as that was something really unique about the concept.
Gotta say the FC is my favorite. Just something about that cab-over design I like. Dial it down to 33's or 35's and it would make a great little multipurpose rig.
What a fun video. So many concepts. Personally I LOVE the FC. I'm really curious how they handled out on the trail. I also loved the African, granted it almost looked like a Defender or Land Cruiser but that body style appeals to me. Thanks for this, and I do agree that it wold be nice to open this to the public. Until next time... Travel safe.
OMG 😮... THAT IS JEEP HEAVEN!!!. What an amazing range of concept's. Imagine having the keys to any one of them at your disposal..... Awesome video Brad.
I am sooooo happy you got shots of that sexy 93 Jeep ZJ. Its one of favorite concert Jeeps! In 93 it was the only year when the ZJ had a Grand Wagoneer version.
The FC MAX would likely sell really well if it had a great GVM in the commercial world, like trucks for Linesman and Service Vehicles, and also for world tourers customisation base. It is like a mini Unimog.
Just a FYI. I just found out that there is a company called VIGILANTE in TEXAS that makes what appears to be vintage JEEP WAGONEERS AND CHEROKEES from the ground up. With Dodge powertrains. Just thought you might want to check them out.
Sandstorm has been one of my favorites. I remember seeing it in person at Jeep Bash in SoCal (I think it was 2018). That might have been the same year and place that I met Brad for the 1st time too. Edit: sorry, I wrote this before watching the video...haha and didn't know you would be mentioning Jeep Bash. In the mouth of two witnesses. Looking back at my photos it look like I saw Sandstorm there in 2018 and met Brad there in 2019 (when you brought your red Gladiator).
L@@K --------> I love those solid steel wheel as shown on Africa and other Jeeps. Why can't I buy them? I've asked at several Jeep Dealers for these Solid Wheels. NADA no clue, I've tried to buying after market. Nothing! I had one Jeep Dealer tell me not to put them on my JK because my brakes would overheat LOL. Please instruct powers that be that many of us love that Classic look and we want those wheels. Warn regards, Gobi JK
What an awesome opportunity Brad. Thanks for sharing with us. Just so you know, the best parts of Michigan are up north just below the bridge and all of the upper peninsula.
There is one particular concept they made - the 2004 Rescue - that I always wanted to see up close. It was their answer to the H2 and was powered by a 5.9 Cummins straight from the Dodge Ram HD of this era.
A few months ago, I saw a Jeep Gladiator Mohave. It looked brand new. What really spiked my interest was the cab. The cab didn't have that Jeep squared look. The cab was rounded and looked like a cab from the 1940's Dodge Power Wagon. It looked really sharp. I didn't bother to take a picture because I thought it was a new model. I looked online and couldn't find it. The cab had to have been customized.
🍻soooo much envy. Thanks for sharing this with us. The FC was cool, but the one I'd have bought if they built it was the 2005 Gladiator concept with an xtra type cab and the spare on the driver's side of the bed. really wish they'd built that. Regular cab is too small and crew cab is too much. sigh
Short wheelbase (2d short bed) gladiator, or fully caged 2d wrangler should be produced. Definitely not *brid(censored). Or sth from history like wagoneer or zj.
You could not PAY me enough money to ever buy a 4Xe. I love some of these concepts, but I will never ever ever ever ever buy a 4Xe. Maybe in 2050 I’ll consider an electric jeep, but definitely not right now. I am
Trying not to make the Jeep like everybody else's Vehicles keep it standing out and different from everybody else cuz everybody copies off each other today's vehicles cannot do anything anymore but Jack the price up and make them fall apart easier these days they're making everything front-wheel drive and Junkie
