Some people use the excuse that they have to wash their hair, or they have paperwork to do, etc. for not being able to go out and party. But Warren says,.....I can't go out, because I am making thousands of Drop Lines. If you don't believe me, look at my living room.

Holy crap guys my eyes popped out of my head seeing all those lines and I thought I had a lot with a simple 75 taps hahaha. So awesome to see the kiddo at it with ya, carrying on the tradition! Really enjoyed learning and watching thank you 🙏🇺🇸

Is the weather looking like good maple season for you. It is early to start tapping. We produce maple syrup in northern Ohio and are still looking at a couple weeks before we start.

Most of the bigger producers tap early just to get all their taps done before the season actually starts. I think glenn goodrich started tapping December 4th. And as of a week ago i think he said they had tapped either 30000 or 60000 taps out of their 100000+ operation@SuperCheeko12

Man, I love that drop cutter! I'd like to learn more about how you guys wash your drops and if you do any line washing in the woods. Our taps went in last weekend and we had the first run of the '24 season yesterday - no down time this year!

We did not like the check-valve spouts all that much. We use the zap-bak spouts and swap them out every 3 years. I'd be interested in seeing your drop cleaning methods.

Wow, nice setup. Curious about the water as a lube though? I have made hundreds of drops and never used any water/lube. I also have the end of the tube only sticking out of the tubing tool about 1/4". I find that the more that sticks out, the harder it is to put any kind of fitting together. The tube likes to flop around as it is more flimsy.

We do thousands of drop lines every year and this is what works best for us. If you found a way that you like, keep doing it!

I used to use the Leader Check Valve spouts. I found they don’t stay in the tree. They don’t have enough taper, so they either pop out, or you hammer them in so far they hit the back of the hole.
