I’d be happy with 10 wins this year, and I think that’s a reasonable expectation and the most likely result. I think Willams will have some issues as should be expected, but I think he’ll do fine. I just want to see the Bears get after it, pass more and show good progress over the course of the year. Can’t wait!

I’ll give everyone a wild ass take that I know has a .0001% chance of being right. What if we see Caleb and Rome both signing there contracts tonight on Hard Knocks as a preview for the Bears Hard Knocks? 🤣 really though the only reason I’ve ever believed and said hard knocks is because it’s both Caleb and Rome thatre unsigned. To me with it being both there’s 3 options of what’s going on. 1 obviously being hard knocks. 2, it’s possible neither of them have even been back in town till this last weekend so possibly couldn’t even sign a contract regardless. 3, the Bears front office is some how completely dropping the ball on this. One guy has an agent and the other attorneys and lawyers so I don’t see it being either player or their team causing the issues.

Not really how that works. Unless Caleb is a lawyer and has familiarity with crafting language in contracts there’s not much he can/should do.

I’m sure if it gets to the point of him not being able to play football because of it he’ll say something. At this point though he hired them for a reason and he’s letting them do their job like he hired them too. They’re lawyers and attorneys, they’re going to the last minute to get as much as they can out of guarantees and the other small language they can change. To me the Bears need to just give them everything they’re asking for in his contract because this is who your entire future isn’t supposed to be and this is who Poles and Flus jobs depend on.

@@natebuiltit5158 except the only people who can talk to an NFL team besides the player in negotiations of a contract is an approved NFL agent. So although they may be advising him, i don’t believe they can actually negotiate with the Bears.

Keep in mind that if they play 3 straight games with 60% odds of winning, their chances of winning all 3 games come in around 20%. So they won't start 10-1, but they could be 7-4, maybe 8-3. Some of those games will be decided by a fumble or dropped pass, which flus can't really control. And injuries are always a factor. Sweat needs to stay healthy!

Why is flus getting fired after 5 wins? He's more likely to get extended after 5 wins. I mean there's still 13 more weeks left in the season at that point so they might wait a few more games to extend him, but I'm fine with extending the Flus at 5-0. I certainly wouldn't fire him at that point like you're suggesting.
