Hey guys, this video ended up being so much more work than expected, but I'm happy with how it turned out. It was a nice change of pace, so I'm not opposed to trying more challenge videos in the future. If you have any feedback / suggestions on game(s) I should consider, let me know!

What a down-to-earth video! And your gameplay skills are surely grounded in experience. In terms of entertainment, you truly held nothing back (except for Kazooie's wings). Now that last sentence may have sounded a bit forced, but I just tend to gravitate towards making whatever puns I can. I simply couldn't avoid jumping at the opportunity to engage in cheesy wordplay. Now with my puns expended, I'll just (bird) bounce out! Edit: oops! I almost forgot to (ground) pound that like button! And no, that definitely wasn't just an excuse to make another pun!

Good video! You sound a bit nervous, but I know something new can be hard. There's one critique I have to offer: you really should have said during the rules what version you're using. The only reason this route works is because you're on a version that saves notes. The N64 version, with its best score mechanic, would rule out... pretty much all the deathwarps, and possibly bloat the counter immensely as you have to do a note collecting run on Rusty Bucket Bay before optimizing jiggies. Still, I respect the work you put into this route, and it shows with a good video!

Coming back and watching this again after your Banjo-Tooie least-jumps run is so wild, just to see the difference in numbers. Both are amazing accomplishments! It’s interesting how the Tooie levels almost seem to be designed more horizontally to me than the more vertical Kazooie levels. Love the content as always!

If you were to collect a ton of health boosts you could probably damage boost the first half of the floor match puzzle in Gobi's Valley. The solution is always the same, so if you memorize it, you can (hypothetically) do less jumps with that than you would with some of the other ones.

At 14:17 you can save a jump. At the top of the pole, neutral jump until you clear the lip and then hold forward and you will land on the platform with the jiggy. Awesome video btw, was fun to see you overcome a lot of tricky situations with ingenuity

Suggestions for removing jumps: Clankers: Jumping for the jiggy on back could be removed by roll-flapping off screw? Gobis: if you do pyramid last, you can quit game instead of jumping out of coffin. You have 13 notes more than you need. Surely some jumps can be cut here, for ex in CCW

Banjo Kazooie has always been one of my favorite games too. I did a casual speedrun of it with my friend a few years back, and was amazed at how much more I learned about the game from doing that. Seeing so much work put into a challenge like this makes me amazed how much we're still getting out of the game over 20 years later. Really enjoyed it!

The following is constructive criticism and spoilers. You have been warned. I'll just use this open space to say thanks DPadGamer for a great video. Makes me want to try doing this sometime. At 12:01 the 54th jump can be avoided by running off the edge and rat-a-tat-rap'ing back into the egg breaking it and allowing you to land on top, skipping a jump. Jump: -1 At 13:40 instead of leaving the level each time, just get Sir Slush to throw a snowball at you and then bear punch it for a honeycomb. Simplicity: +1 At 14:20 using somewhat precise movement, you can grab the Jiggy in the tree by jumping off the pillar and up onto the top. Jumps: -1 At 17:20 Nice style points, but you don't need to jump onto Rubi's head. You can just Jump onto the snake's basket. Simplicity: +1 At 19:16 You can skip the first 2 jumps by being damage boosted to the 2nd ledge by the Piranha. Jumps: -2 At 29:18 Doesn't death reset your Jinjo count? I'm pretty sure it does. Jumps: +(1)? (however many it takes to get out of blue jinjo box) Alternatively, use 1 jump to get out of the water after getting the pink Jinjo and get the blue Jinjo last, then death warp (to keep the Jiggy ofc). At 31:21 You don't need to jump to reach that shock jump pad, you can walk off the edge and flutter onto it. Very difficult, but doable. Jumps: -1 At 32:06 The left side of the hive is easier imo but viewers should do what works best for them. Simplicity: +1 At 32:56 Repeating a non-jump. Jumps: -1 At 33:34 All of these jumps can be avoided by doing a flutter into a ground pound near the top of the slope. Jumps: -3 Total: -8 Jumps and +3 Simplicity

6:58 You can skip these jumps over the pipes by walking towards the edge (a critical step, since otherwise you'll just claw swipe off into the water), roll-attacking, and quickly pressing A in midair + another A press for the flutter (if needed)

This was my favorite game in the world as a kid on the n64, but over the years i have no clue what happened to my old system and games. I just got a series x at the start of december and was so happy to see it there on the list of games included with game pass. Its been my most played game since then.

i think activating the flight pad should count as a jump since banjo jumps high BEFORE kazooie starts flying. And shock pads should be two jumps since the animations has banjo doing a short jump before kazooie does the high jump.

Watching the Banjo-Tooie video before this one certainly got my expectations too high

In games like Banjo-Kazooie where you play as two characters, you can do a minimal actions with the one of the two characters.

I've loved this game ever since I was a kid, although I didn't beat it until very recently, since English isn't my first language it was kinda tricky when I was 10 lol. Norwegian translations are very rare for games. My guess for how many jumps it would take was 185, that wasn't based on anything it was just a gut-feeling. But I'm surprised to see it was below that, I thought it might even pass 200 for a moment there. But this is a great video, I'll be sure to check out what else ya got. I'm not a huge fan of Banjo-Tooie but I'm absolutely watching that next.

The first Jiggy can be collected if we add to Jump's definition of "Using Jump, Feather Flap Flip, or Shock Spring Jump" the condition "on the ground or in water". If Banjo slides off a ledge while crouching, he can use a Feather Flap Flip while in the air.

hey man, very cool video! i noticed some jumps you can avoid (because i speedrun the game :P ) but you did a very good job btw, lots of cool strats, with damages boosts for example. Idk if you know, but there is an A button challenge (ABC) in progress for this game. That's not exactly the same, and some tricks are TAS only, but there are lots of jumps you can avoid using ABC strats, check ThatCowGuy's channel if you're interested ;) I think you wanted to do the game glitchless (even if you did window clip in rusty bucket bay, that's cool!), but you can do a trick called RBA, which permits you to bring the bee where you want in the game. So you can also go to click clock wood as soon as possible with less jumps possible, and keeps these unavoidable jumps for later with the bee, which can fly just touching the water (or pressing A when falling, as you said). You can go to CCW with only 260 notes with glitches. And you can keep all the notes you want for the end with the bee by entering worlds early (watch any% N64 speedrun (xbox route's different due to a glitch which permits you to star in rusty bucket bay, i wonder which one is the best concerning low jumps lol). You can go to every level early without open them (except mumbo's moutain and click clock wood (and clanker's cavern and mad monster mansion too but that's TAS only)) using glitches (but i suppose again you wanted to show the game beated glitchless with low jumps). So you can beat the game with 31 jiggies (16 on TAS) instead of 94 glitchless. Furthermore, you skipped 6 jiggies, but maybe there are 6 better jiggies to avoid which use more jumps. It was a good choice to avoid gobi's memory puzzle and treasure trove cove's sandcastle jiggy for example! Something you should know is also ratatatrap makes you go further than fluttering, some maybe you can skips some others jumps with that, i think for example about the springpad jump to gobi's valley, i didn't try it but i'm pretty sure it's possible to go over these stairs with a ratatatrap. Don't forget you can also do resets and deathwarps, idk if it can save jumps but we never know. Some extra jumps i noticed: inside the tree in freezeezy peak, you can jump from the pole to the jiggy. You can go to the plateform in front of 765 note door in CCW lobby with only 2 backflips instead of 3 using the leafs after the whipcrack entrance. Going inside cauldrons without jumps (watch ABC). Doing piano by falling from the platform with the book (same). The acorn in the air in CCW, i think you can take it by falling and ratatatrap but not sure. Platforms before the nest in CCW, fall, pretty sure you can do no jumps too. 163 only is a very good score btw, gg! Thanks for reading :^)
