It is really helpful information in the industry. Thank you very much

Really useful. I run a community hall where hirers can bring in all sorts of equipment with or without PAT test certs. Lots of tripping problems since we upgraded the consumer unit and went for RCBOs. You can't tell if they tripped on earth leakage or over-current. Discovered that some RCBOs will trip at only 22 mA earth leakage. There again a type B 20 amp RCBO will take 2 hours to trip on 28 amp (7 kW). So if it's kettles tripping it, maybe it's earth leakage.

Darn it you covered it all. lol... It is very interesting for sure. I wanted to say something about the Soft start lol but you covered that .. I also have some 100 watt driverless LEDs in use. By the way with some of my testing different LEDs I found some were not true ratings of what they offered and then found that is because they were doing some crazy things with Inrush and throttling back to lower currents was to cure the over inrush. I say that is pure BS they just had chips that they wanted to sale as 100watt or what ever one I was testing but didn't cut it and sold it to people that might not know how to test watts, current, voltage or lumens.. Even had one with a driver circuit that took my 120v and dropped it to 85v because that was the true rating of the LED lol. People like that should state only use their driver for their leds lol. Doing some Lumen testing I found it was under what was stated, so I thought it was driver issue and well it was because connecting it to a good LED driver the LED was much brighter for about 5 min lol. With in true specs before leds started to fail. A good deal don't always mean it will be a good product. Want to be safe buy a product from a good known company and while you might pay more I have yet to find one that was junk on stats. I mean a couple lumens off or over current is normal to me seeing they have better test hardware..

thanks Revo2Maxx. I have had such variability with LED floodlights, some lasting very long and close to specs while others totally off. And even branded ones fail quickly while some cheapies lasting long and these are in the same installation. Its like they have a mind of their own. I have noticed they very sensitive to surges and overvoltages.
