Your perseverance paid off. Hope you were not too banged up Monique. At least you had an instant ice pack! 🤣 Those owls were hidden well.

Oh I did have an ice pack, lol. And I do have a phone shaped bruise but I'm totally fun otherwise. Thanks!

Long eared owl is still on my list to see! Glad I’m not the only one where the wildlife hides behind branches and you can’t get a clear shot. I really like the A7R5 have had it for 4 months now and it has helped my wildlife photography

They are so good at hiding! Yes the focusing on the A7RIV was super helpful!

Nice! Great that you found them. We have a shotgun range nearby. It's not unusual to see deer walking across the far end of the range (shotgun pellets don't travel far). They are used to the sound of guns. Today we went out to see our local bald eagles. We did see one on the nest who took off and came back a couple of times. That nest is near the local airport. Amazing what wildlife will get used to.

Hi guys. To grumpy rex. Walk on edge of icy path to not fall and hurt yourself. Hope you feel better already. Great video guys.. best regards from james in scotland.

I did walk on the endge for the most part. Trail widening is a problem here so I also try to stay on trail as much as possible.

I think it would have been worth getting up at 4am, for me, just to see the deer; but I don't know that it would have been worth braving the cold air and the icy path. 🥶 I'm glad you didn't break the camera; and I'm most happy that you did not break yourself. 😬 I wouldn't have been happy under those conditions either. 😌 Awe, you got to see them! So, was it worth all the pain and suffering? 🤗 That was a challenging photo shoot. They seem deeply nestled in those branches; and it's awesome that you were able to get a few shots of their beautiful faces and golden eyes. I happy to see both of your channels doing so well. ☺ It seems that you're growing and getting more views.

That ice is nasty stuff for sure. Would be interesting to see how those owls enter that tangle of branches.👍👍

The ice doesn't look bad on the video but it was def a sheet. Yes with a 3 foot wingspan how are they getting in the tangle?

Glad you guys came down to see them, they're great! I'm shocked they've stayed around so long especially so close to the firing range haha
