PictureFit please tell us how fast different protein is absorbed: eg - fish protein is absorbed in #/h, egg white protein is absorbed #/h, etc. Also, please, tell the people that our bodies do absorb all of the protein we consume, and there is no boundry. A caveman didnt eat as often as we do today, so his body had to absorb all of the nutrients, until he finds food again.

a cool guy I don't think we absorb all of the protein we eat. Different proteins have different digestibilities. Nuts, for example, have low protein digestibilities. Shelled hemp seeds are higher, and most meats are very high

PictureFit yeah thought this aspect would be answered late in the vid, but guess we'll have to wait a bit for that one ;-). Personally I enjoy just eating two meals a day when cutting because I just enjoy the volume and feeling full rather than feeling a bit hungry but always. Mentally it's just for me. being an endurance athlete, we do eat frequent and small portions . During training we are teaching our bodies to eat while in motion. We use whole balanced foods to burn as fuel for 6 to 8 hours. Eat 3 meal a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and add 2-3 snacks in between around 100-150 calories). Depend on your goal snack ideas can be protein shake, apple , banana , yogurt , fruits, nuts etc

I eat breakfast 2 hours later I have either a water 2 small chicken raps or grapes or something 2 hours later i might get a pizza,rap,or lasagna chicken dinner or nothing then 6 hours later I eat a dinner

Try having a 3600 kcal diet, and in one meal you have to eat 100 gr of protein, 250 gr of carbs, and 45 gr of fats.

im eating 1 Whole food plant based meal a day, after 1 year of 2 meals a day.. Feeling so much better and a lot more tonificated. Not only it frees up more time but also your mind! and you enjoy food so much more

If you exercise whilst fasting, you can start to see results in a month or two. An average human can survive for 1 month without food. And funny thing is, the more you fast, the less hungry you will feel in the long run, whether or not you exercise. But if you really want that 6 pack, then exercising whilst fasting can do more for you in the long run. Eat just once or twice a day, within a week, you won't even feel hungry whilst fasting. Even if you hear your stomach rumble, the feeling of hunger will just go away soon after. Long term planning, folks.

It purely comes down to how much food you can consume in one sitting. Some people can't eat very much in one meal so they'll need to eat more frequently to meet their macro nutrient requirements and no, I'm not going by the whole 1g of protein/pound of body weight rule.

Breakfast - 7am. Second breakfast - 9 am. Elevenses - 11 am. Lunch - 1 pm. Afternoon tea - 3pm. Dinner - 6 pm. Supper - 9 pm

On June 10. I weigh 230lbs with diagnosis of pre everything u name it. So,my doctor recommends eating one meal a day with minimum carbohydrates. I am down to 178 today, I will never go back to eating 3 meals a day.

More smaller meals a day is a good thing for your health, you're not overloading your digestive system, your stomach shrinks, you stimulate bile flow from your gallbladder which decreases chance of stones forming. Just take what you would normally eat in 3 meals and eat the same amount in 6 meals. Or maybe get creative, instead of eating full plate of pasta, eat half of a plate and on the other meals, eat something else, in half quantity of that you would normally do. As for the weight loss, I think it would not be because of the metabolism increase, it's because on 6 smaller meals you will feel less hunger and not turn what supposed to be 3 meals a day, into 6 meals but with added snacks between 3 full sized meals.

Personally frequent smaller meals lets me not crash an hour after the meal. If I eat 2~3 big meals I get groggy and tired after the meal. For me at least, smaller meals helped me stay consistently energized throughout the day without needing to take a nap every time I eat.

Age and lifestyle also plays a key role to how many meals a person should take. As a person with a higher metabolical rate, I rather listen and feel what my body tells me and weight the decision then cuz that works for me. Love the vids tho, very insightful!

The important point is, waiting for longer periods often makes people eat bigger portions. Personally it worked for me more than 3 meals a day.

How about the times you eat (ie., just before bed, 3 hours before bed, nothing after 6, etc) or best time to eat carbs if eating carbs (less than 50 g for fat burn?)...etc

Occasional fasting is good for the body, unless you're diabetic. People who eat one meal a day swear by the benefits. It's not for me, but I will fast for a day once in a while just because I know my body was naturally designed to deal with lean times.

Hi PF! I have a question for you. I try constantly to improve my diet, but there's one thing that doesn't allow me to sleep at night... Bread. Where I come from bread is so so important, and I just can't stop having bread. Impossible. But I've heard different opinions on it. You know - only white bread is bad. Or that rye bread is better than wheat bread. All this information on the web is confusing. And even about grain products in general. Is flour bad for my diet? I don't know... Nice. Thumbsup for your effort for discrediting this myth:D I tried practising frequent meals on myselfxD 5 meals vs 3meals previously(trying to keep total calorie intake same) and i gained weight. My assumption is increased frequency of insulin release with frequent meals, and insuling is one of the hormones associated with increasing muscle mass but also fat. Havent found much evidence on it tho so far. I would appreciate if you know any researches regarding this.

I know this video is mainly about losing weigh by eating more often, but I think eating six times a day is bigger with the professional bodybuilders and strength athletes that eat thousands of calories a day. It's harder to eat so much within three meals when you could split the total amount into smaller more frequent meals. In the case of Thor Bjornsson, he eats roughly 10,000 calories a day when he's prepping for a contest. It would be pretty hard to eat about 3,300 in three meals. It's easier to split it up into six or more meals

Calories in and calories out! Eat more than your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure), you will gain weight, eat less than your TDEE, you will lose weight. That's all folks!

I read a book by a fitness guru, talking about this Japanese boxer study and believed whole heartily that I should eat 6 small meals. Well... if we don't do enough research, we end up getting brainwashed by so call "expert". I guess we should all learn to evaluate different evidence and always question the source of each study. And always open mind about new possibility!

nice video ! I did intermitting fasting for 2 months and I was tracking my calories I was losing very slowly about to 2kg per month then I started eating 5 meals a day with the same amount of calories and I started losing very fast about 3-4 kgs per month ! I did not exrcise more or slept more so cant understand why I had better results

ImightyBlade lolssz I kinda do that too, but I was wondering if splitting your hypercaloric macros into three meals a day are okay for adding mass without worrying about the body going into a fasting state between the meals.

Hmmm...how about for bulking that the reason that people eat 6 meals a day is the body can only synthesize 30g of protein per meal. What's your take on this?
