US has a global navy so having a fleet of large destroyers to escort carriers is natural. China is trying to defend the coast and territory against mighty U.S. navy so building a large number of destroyer is understandable. Both countries are also big in size. Then why would a small country with constitution clearly stated “no offensive military” Japan has so many destroyers? Historically Japan is only invaded/occupied by one country US till today. The two neighboring big countries Russia and China never attacked Japan in thousands year. Germany labels their destroyer as frigate is a stretch but not too far, Japan calls their carrier with F35B a corvette is just ridiculous.

You know dang well why Japan needs so many destroyers. It's because china threatens them. Historically china has always tried to subjugate Japan. US does not occupy Japan today. US troops are there because Japan wants them there to deter imperialist china.

The class names of the three destroyers of the Republic of Korea Navy are as follows. 1. Gwanggaeto The Great(FLD 3,900t) - 3 ship - Gwanggaeto The Great - Eulji Mundeok - Yang Manchun 2. Chungmugong Yi Sunshin(FLD 5,500t) - 6 ship - Chungmugong Yi Sunshin - Munmu The Great - Dae Joyeong - Wang Geon - Kang Gamchan - Choi Yeong 3. Sejong The Great(FLD 10,600t) - 3 ship - Sejong The Great - Yulgok Yi I - Seoae Ryu Seongryong Additionally, only the current nameship has been built, and there are classse with two more being built. 4. Jeongjo The Great(FLD 12,000t) - 3 ship - Jeongjo The Great - Currently under construction - Currently under construction And the classification in the Republic of Korea Navy is frigates, but there's 'Chungnam Class', which is actually larger than 'Gwanggaeto The Great Class' and can actually be seen as a destroyer.(FLD 4,300t - 6 ship)

Exactly! Why so many keep saying about battle experiences? Of all these modern warships, not even a single one had fired a single shot toward a near-peer rival. The US Navy destroyed half the Iranian Navy, the US has participated as IAs to GWOT. It has recently repelled the Houthi attacks, it has launched air sorties in every war since WW2. It has also done NGFS in every war. It did the blockade during the Cuban Missile Crisis. It was also an important role player in the collapse of the Soviet Union. What has China proven? That it bullies small countries with its Fishing Militia? And Russia’s Navy has been doing nothing but getting sunk.

China's shipbuilding capacity is more than ten times that of the United States, and the manufacturing price of China's warships is much lower than that of the United States. Because many shipyards in China are state-owned, shipbuilding only needs the cost price, while building a ship in the United States needs many times the cost price. The total number of ships in China has surpassed that of the United States, and it is only a matter of time before the tonnage exceeds that of the United States. In the future, the number and tonnage of ships in China will definitely be much higher than that in the United States. Because China considers that all future wars will be drone wars, and the cost performance of traditional aircraft carriers is not as high as that of small aircraft carriers, China will certainly build many small aircraft carriers to carry drones in the future.

hey I don't think so partly, it always depends on the real need. Since the chinese navy targets himself as a regional navy power to mainly conduct defence missions. There is actually no need catching up the number of US warships because of the global displacement of the US navy. Another perspective is about the cost, building und maintaining warships are relative high-cost and the military budget is not infinite, which means the output of every spent bucks does matter. Ratinal to speak, I do think the chinese navy won't catch up the numbers of US warships at least in a very long time, since there is no need. Additionally if China needs to defend itself, there are more lower-cost ways to go, like land based aircraft and land based misslies.

The problem with China's rapid expansion of their Navy is they need a lot more sailors to man the ships. Expanding their staffing means bringing in a lot of new and inexperienced personnel. So while China may eventually have enough ships to compare to the US Navy, they will be sorely lacking in the experience department. It will take several years for the experience of China's sailors to even come close to comparing to the USN.
@0.0LEE-n8i
@0.0LEE-n8i Год назад
You don't know anything about the Chinese navy. The current Chinese navy has far more personnel than ships. If you talk about professionalism, then in 2017 alone, the USS McCain destroyer collided with an oil tanker due to management chaos, and the USS Fitzgerald collided with a Philippine cargo ship in the waters off Yokosuka, Japan , the guided-missile destroyer USS Benfold collided with a tugboat off Japan, the cruiser Antietam was damaged when it ran aground in Tokyo Bay, Japan, and the cruiser Lake Champlain collided with a fishing boat off Ulleungdo, South Korea Collision incidents, etc., so many low-level accidents in just one year is really unimaginable "professional"😅
@chasemichael6008
@chasemichael6008 Год назад
@@0.0LEE-n8i The issue isn't simply a matter of finding people to work on the ships. It's battle-experienced personnel that China's Navy is lacking because they just don't have the experience that the US has. think that's what OP is referring to. Also, a handful of incidents over five years ago doesn't make an entirel Navy moot anymore than a Lamborghini having a blowout makes it a low-value car.
@aangelcg
@aangelcg Год назад
@@0.0LEE-n8i I know a Chinese Type 093 nuclear submarine reportedly crashed and sank killing the entire crew last week. A Chinese destroyer intentionally crossed the bow of an American destroyer and Canadian frigate almost causing a collision in June. Chinese craft regularly try to flex with their tiny coastal patrol boats but realistically are no match for US Navy ships. If you actually believe China never has accidents with their ships, you're truly drinking the cool-aid they are feeding you. The US openly reports when they have an accident with their ships, whereas China is often very quiet when they make a mistake and prefer a media blackout to try to save face. Now if you're done trying to bootlick for the Chinese by spreading false propaganda, the adults will go back to what we were doing.

Even if China did manage to somehow come close to the US's naval warfare I don't know how sustainable it is The US spends an absorbentant amount of money I can't imagine China can come close to that making ships and keeping ships is totally different things. Who knows how much money it takes each country to maintain their military power. And I don't even want to think of how much the US China and other places spend that they could spend elsewhere.

No. Don’t let national pride distort reality. I has a few more missiles cells than the Arleigh Burke (about 16). This gives the 55 an advantage but doesn’t put it on another level. A ships combat capability is not solely determined by the number of missiles it carries. I will agree with you that the 55 should be classified as a Cruiser. @@wingng4331

When talking about U.S. military power, I'd like to hear the realistic numbers that would deploy. For example, talking about the total amount of destroyers vs how how many would deploy to a particular area. Obviously, the U.S. would not deploy all of their assets to one region, or else the other regions would be left defenseless. I'm an American, but bragging how many ships we have in total, is irrelevant. The same is true with air force, army, etc. I wish a video would tackle this topic.

When the US does build these ship just how powerful are they going to be? Are they going to carry the power of the arleigh Burke destroyer? Or they going to have more powerful weapons?😊 have blast of a day ha ha.

If the Zumwalt was fully capable as designed the type 055 not a chance but we are talking the Burkey class destroyer. You really think the type 055 would stand up to the Burkey class destroyer come on man yes the have missile that is longer rang so the say???🤔 It has not been proven in battle. Most of the US ship have many times. To lay down a bet head to head. Burkey class all the way she many come home with a scratch but she will come home the type 055 I just don't think so👍🤗

Gentlemen we need more advanced aircraft with 6th generation NGAD fighters on standby. I bet others nations are worried that United States is already building 7th generation fighters and belong. I hope other’s Nations start thinking before they react. United States is ahead in AirPower I have no doubt there leaders from other-nations could come to some agreement and start thinking before it get out of control. So leaders from every nations , war is not answer,,,,,,,, let start talking…..
