In this video i'm testing the strenght of my new shredder configuration, and find out how many sheets of paper are needed to stop my shredder.
How much sheets do you think?
The shredder got wrecked a couple of weeks ago, and since then it got some upgrades which are :
- Dual Motor (1 motor for each shaft)
- Thicker Shafts
- Brand New Frequency Drive
For the people that are going to comment 'dont waste paper because it's made from trees'....
Most of the paper is made from sawdust and discarded wood. The trees you're talking about are being used to make your furniture, house, etc...

We keep paper separated from other garbage. It’s collected by a dedicated paper recycling company. So don’t worry guys, the paper is being recycled.

That’s good. It might have been a better idea to just use paper that had already been written on and thrown in the recycling, but that might have also taken a lot of extra work.

All of his paper has the FSC logo, which means it comes from sustainable sources. It most likely also contains recycled content, this paper will end up back in more paper, so relax.

I do not recycle paper... That is done in a specialized factory. We keep paper separated from other garbage, so yes it’s going to a paper recycle factory.

Question, and no, it’s not about the paper you “wasted”, It’s about the shredder. Is there a reason you went chain drive with this instead of direct drive? Seems like the chains would be a weak point. Is that why, so if it’s overloaded the chains fail and the motors aren’t damaged?

Hi, It is direct drive, the chain you see is a chain coupling which is used as fail safe to not damage the gearbox or motor. But because of the shredder run from VFD the main function of the chain coupling is to take radial forces out of shafts/ball bearings, if shafts are not alignment perfectly. Which they are not.

I do NOT have sub bots my friend. The algorithm isn’t recommending my videos to the subscribers at the moment. It’s a real pain in the ..... According to the stats, only 3% of my subscribers are receiving upload notifications. The past 6 months I’ve been trying to solve that, but with no luck so far.

One thing you failed to mention that your shredder does that most shredders won't do and that is it kept running when others would overheat and stop running. But yours kept going.

In the video where the computer mouse broke the shredder, some shredders can go in reverse and if something is stuck in there you can reverse the blades and it might come out or the shredder might fix itself. I haven't watched it yet, but I am about to now.

@@Phoenix88. The RPM won't necessarily decrease much unless something is being shredded that is difficult for the machine to process. It might always slow down some depending on what is being shredded, but for the most part the speed doesn't ever seem to be affected by anything that the machine is able to shred.
