Hello, I have a Rheem, 2-ton, 15 SEER, heat pump system in a 1456 sqft house that was built on a slab (no basement). When the a/c is running, the downstairs is cool while the upstairs is hot. There are 4 ceiling registers and 1 Return downstairs and 6 floor registers upstairs. So what I understand from your video, I should have another Return installed upstairs in the hall, 1 Return for each ton, and/or 1 return in each bedroom. Please advise. Thank you.
I currently have two air returns in the hallways. I plan on placing returns in all the bedrooms. If someone vapes in one of the rooms with the door closed and there is a return in that room will it make matters better or worse?
Thanks for reaching out I appreciate the question. If you put return air in each room and someone is vaping, you will smell it throughout the entire home and anywhere the returns are tied. Hope this helps
