@@ruanpereira1928 The movie might actually be called Black Widow and Hawkeye, like with Falcon and the Winter Soldier > Captain America and White Wolf.
if Hawkeye got a season 2 I imagine there could be a lot of Kate and Yelena. Clint is supposed to be retired anyway and the ending of season 1 implied he was passing down the Hawkeye label to Kate, so A hawkeye series without clint would make sense as we'd still have a Hawkeye.
This should legit be a running gag in the MCU from now on. Going forward, whenever Yelena's talking to or about Kate, she should always call her "Kate Bishop" and NO ONE should acknowledge it. Have her call everyone else by just their first or last name just like normal but she continues to call Kate by her full name and it gets to the point where it's not even done sarcastically anymore but just out of habit.
That wouldn’t be smart from a writing position and would leave possible plot holes if they’re on missions in front of bad guys or something who’d know her and can use her name to their advantage.
I love how casually Yelena said "I'm going to kill Barton" then following up with eating afterwards. I also loved the casual conversation between Kate and one of the Tracksuit guys about his girlfriend.
This was a not-so-subtle way of threatening her when she wanted to find Barton, if she knows her full name and address what else might she know about her
exactly. I keep telling people Yelena's visit in Kate's appartment based on context and the lines is not cute at all. She was clearly threatening her the whole time. I'm guessing the scene was meant to be Mafia-like encounter but the actress playing Yelena looks so cute they just went on with it.
It also could just be because she's Russian and she's sort of applying traditional Russian name usage to an American name: (1) Using the first name only or a nickname, Kate or Katherine, is very casual and familiar, but they aren't close friends or family; (2) using her last name only "Bishop" is correct in a professional setting, but that's not right either; (3) they are non-professional acquaintances if Kate were Russian the traditional form of address would be first name + patronymic, something like "Anna Mikhailovna" but Kate doesn't have a Russian style name, Yelena COULD call her "Katerine Derekovna" but that would just confuse the hell out of Kate, so Yelena goes with "Kate Bishop."
Kate asks her why she keeps using her full name even mentioning if it is just to prove she knows it. And, Yelana confirms that is the reason. Nothing to do with Russia just a good way to threaten her.
Yelena knew a lot about her. Her parents, what school she went to, her GPA and class schedule, saving the dog. She said it directly to her in the apartment.
I think Kate Bishop is how Yelena will refer to Kate from now on lol. Imagine Yelena keeps calling Kate Kate Bishop because she keeps forgetting her name. Yelena: Why do you keep protecting Clint Barton (looks at writing on her hand) Kate Bishop. Yelena: Don't get in my way again. (looks at writing on hand) Kate Bishop.
"Kate Bishop, there are people on the RU-vid counting how many times I say your name. Crazy, right Kate Bishop? Is like some party game for them, Kate Bishop." We only really see Yelena talking to two people; does she also call Clint Barton, Clint Barton repeatedly too?
if there is a season 2 it should just be Kate and Yelena they are the new Hawkeye and Black Widow of MCU they have the banter and everything else Natasha and Clint had with each other
